Re: 9Xtreme not working after flash

Steve - I may not have conveyed it ideally too - my apologies if that was the case. Apologies not necessary. I did clean all contact pads and the push pins on the 9XT board, and that's actually when I stopped getting any LED response when I turned the tx on./quote]Ok, so that leads me to a question...

Re: 9Xtreme not working after flash

After reading your post here, I think I misunderstood what you were saying originally in our email discussion. From that discussion, I believed your firmware was corrupted as it sounded like the USB connection failed mid-update. But that's not what it sounds like you are describing here. I still sus...

I appreciate that. Regarding the reverse polarity... you may be surprised at how many of the 1000pcs went to replacing blown up units :) Regarding sales, risk, etc... it is an expensive product to make and the problem is that 1000pcs is kind of a minimum order. If sales continued at the same pace we...

Beats me. I searched through all my suppliers and no positive hits. I've sent out a few emails to Chinese distributors.

That part number does get a hit for Lattice Semi, which makes custom FPGA chips but I can't imagine a cheap product like this would go FPGA.

Weird.

Can you scratch that yellow blob off so we can see the full model number? I wonder what that chip is.

I am fairly confident they are JST ZH (1.5mm pitch) connectors. I'd say 95% sure. I'm not at the computer I'd need to be at to confirm for sure. [edit: confirmed]

Here is an example eBay listing

Given that shipping is free, that's probably your best bet.

Like the images in the first post on that thread? Those aren't schematics. They're just a features list really. Its more or less like this image referenced in steps 7/8 of the installation instructions tab of the product page.

We do have to recognize that these problems are occuring on the most modded, reworked, tested, experimented, damaged/repaired 9X in existence :)

That one that got nice and toasty is a p-channel mosfet that you can buy here if you need to.

The posted pic isn't high enough res to see if anything else appears damaged.

FYI, I sent an email out to all SP Basic owners offering them a free Rev 1.1 about a month ago. Only had to pay s/h. Rev 1.1 fixes the AIL switch issue as well as the physical board length good. Offer doesn't apply to those that got their original on clearance. Must respond to the email so check you...

That link REALLY needs to be updated... it just takes you to some holy hell of malware. If you no longer have control over the 9xforums. com domain the you should do a global search and replace to eliminate all links because that domain has been hijacked.

Hi Tom, If you can get it repaired locally, I'll refund you to cover the cost. The kicker is finding someone that will do it for a reasonable fee. Some guys will say that's a $150 job when of course someone that knows what they're doing it should be 2 minutes and $10 :) Anyway, whether it is refundi...

Re: 9Xtreme V2? Or Discontinued?

Thanks for the feedback. First, I don't really see a "V2" as being something sold to existing 9Xtreme owners. I'm sure a few would buy it, but I don't think the majority would see it as a big enough benefit to justify re-purchase. From my perspective, I have to view those few as a "bo...

9Xtreme V2? Or Discontinued?

Hello folks! Stock is getting a little low and it is decision time. Make another batch (in which case, what changes should we make)? Or call it quits? I am wondering if we've hit the "everyone who wants one, has one" mark. Sales have slowed dramatically in the past few week, but that might...

Unfortunately, 6BA screws are a bit hard to come by in the US. Do you think M2.5 or M3 screws will work? They are a bit easier to find. I had to look up "6BA screws"... the result was that they are a "mostly obsolete" British-specific standard, so I am not surprised you can't fi...

Soldering crimped connections is a common thing among hobbyists... but I agree with Klaus that it deserves caution. They aren't designed to be soldered. Professional manufacturing never solders them. It shouldn't be necessary or advantageous in any way *if* they were correctly assembled in the first...

Please clarify/confirm: Do you mean you currently have the DJT installed and working with a 9Xtreme? Or without? If with... you're done. Just remove the DJT module and put the XJT in its place. The XJT utilizes a single wire so the other will go unused, but it doesn't have to be disconnected. If you...

Confirm your address hasn't changed and I'll get another out to you. That will be the easiest way to determine ...
