Re: Reading LiPo sensor FLVSS with Arduino Uno

Thank you very much MikeB. I'm not familiar with C++, more familiar with C, so I will have to study this code for a while to find out where the equivalent of pin I/O 4 i on the Arduino UNO. It might take me a while to make it work. I have difficulty finding the low level function for the arduino boa...

Re: Reading LiPo sensor FLVSS with Arduino Uno

Thank you Mike, I don't have the libraries of this code so it's difficult for me to know how the functions work. Will this sketch work on an arduino UNO? How is the wire of signal data of the smart port connected to the Arduino board? I guess it will take a diode to make it bidirectional? Thanks aga...

Reading LiPo sensor FLVSS with Arduino Uno

Hi, Has anyone done the code on an Arduino Uno to read directly the FrSky Lipo sensor FLVSS without any receiver (No Tx, no Rx)? Just sensor to Arduino. I want to use this to measure the internal resistance of my LiPo batteries cells using the FLVSS and some math to compute the internal resistance o...

Re: Hand launch a glider and telemetry lost

Thank you again Kilrah,

After doing a quick test, the controls (surfaces and throttle) are indeed functional despite the telemetry lost.
So the issue of security control of hand launching with telemetry lost is not a problem.

Best,

Re: Hand launch a glider and telemetry lost

Weds, I have the XR series of receivers. Kilrah, So what you are saying is that the control of surfaces and throttle will not be lost even if the Tx and Rx are very close together and I have a telemetry lost? Please confirm. If this is really true, then great, I am really relieved. Thank you both. R...

Hand launch a glider and telemetry lost

Hi, I believe it is a well known fact that with FrSky Tx and Rx, we get a telemetry lost when Tx and Rx are very close (< 1 meter). When I hand launch myself my glider, I get 90% of the time a telemetry lost because the Tx and Rx are obviously very close. This situation worries me in the event the t...

Re: Telemetry display problem

Hi OpenTx developers,

Is there any development or news about this telemetry display problem?
It appears to me (not sure) as a firmware display problem showing garbage characters. Please refer to the picture in this thread.

Re: Telemetry display problem

Hi all, I have some updated info about this issue. Today I was able to take a snapshot of the garbage characters I received in my display telemetry screen of my Taranis +. Please see the attached picture. I also had something similar for Alt+ recently (reason of this thread) You will see that the RS...

Re: Telemetry display problem

Hi Kilrah, Well, I'm not sure about the XJT firmware version I had before. The G-RX8 did not work with my previous XJT firmware. You are most probably right about the G-RX8 and ACCST1 but in general I don't like to go backward in firmware. I wrote FrSky (North America service) about this telemetry c...

Re: Telemetry display problem

Thank you again Kilrah,

That would explain my problem then.
Not reassuring.

Something we can do besides going back to ACCST1?
The G-RX8 receiver won't work with ACCST1.

Hi Kilrah, I'm running the 2.3.14 firmware and the latest firmware of the G-RX8 receiver from the FrSky site and also the latest XJT as well. Attached are the firmware of the receiver and XJT modules. Yes I did update both the XJT and G-RX8 modules in order to be able to make G-RX8. I renamed the ex...

Telemetry display problem

Hi, I have the Taranis+ and the latest firmware 2.3.14 My glider is using the FrSky G-RX8 receiver with the vario incorporated in the receiver. Re: Companion 2.3.11 problems

OK, once I made the change in the radio and saved the eeprom file, copied it to PC, it worked.
I thought making changes and saving in Companion only would work but I was wrong we need to edit the slides save it in the Radio as well.
Good to know for next time.

Thanks guys,

Re: Companion 2.3.11 problems

Thank you Dean,

It worked for me as well in older Companion versions.
Not sure why now it's not working.

Maybe someone else has the solution. I must have forgotten something, but what?

Cheers!

Re: Companion 2.3.11 problems

Hi,

Yes I did do the store and checked the LS and RS are at slider.
No luck, no sliders appear even if they are both stored at slider with detent.
Both the sliders do work in my Taranis + but are invisible in Companion.

Re: Companion 2.3.11 problems

Hi rdeanchurch,

Indeed they are at none.
I put both LS and RS at slider in the hardware page. No change, no sliders appeared.
Please note I did this only in Companion and not in Taranis yet.

Re: Unable to bind the RX G-RX8

Hi all, Important info for G-RX8 users. OK I figured what was not working about binding Taranis + to G-RX8. First you need to update to the last firmware versions both the XJT in Taranis and G-RX8 so they can match. Second and most important, there is at least one error in the paper manual coming wi...

Unable to bind the RX G-RX8

Hi, I recently bought the receiver G-RX8 from FrSky. I am unable to bind it in the 8 channels PWM even if I followed all the instructions to the letter. The receiver seems stuck in the SBUS mode because the blue LED comes ON at power ON indicating it is in SBUS mode. I carefully added the jumper CH1...

Re: Lastest firmware 2.3.11 update

Hi all,

So I verified the upgrade from 2.2.3 to 2.3.11 and no changes are needed in the model programs.
However, I was not able to find the new way to make a backup of the EEPROM? This has changed I beleive.

Can someone help me with this?

Thanks,

Lastest firmware 2.3.11 update

Hi all,

It has been a long time since I updated my Taranis plus firmware.
I presently have 2.2.3.

If I update to 2.3.11 from 2.2.3 will I have to change my models program?
If the answer is yes, what will I need to check/change?

Thanks,

Re: Telemetry lost

Hi Joao, I was not able today to get this telemetry lost. I have to say it was a dry day, no clouds, pretty dry October day. But I'm discarding this possibility of dry vs humid day to explain my problem. I did a range test today and all seemed OK. While in test range situation, I was able to walk 75...
