Re: ERSKY9x Questions

Lol!!! Look at the space the true genius can utilise ... lol! Most all things work just as on the 9X versions we are all used to menu wise, but no 'control' system as of yet, so there is no output to receivers. But there is colour! Amazing! The Horus feels like part of the family already now! Haha! ...

Re: ERSKY9x Questions

Not sure how the Horus stores information exactly, but the production version does not need to have an SD card inserted at all. I cannot remember the actual change that was made from the development version to the production version but am thinking it was that all data was stored on a new-to-the- pr...

Swap the MCU for one with a larger eeprom size. Not something the non-modding user would consider agreed. But it could be an option I suspect.

Re: ERSKY9x Questions

I have had 3 Taranis - 2 X 9 and a 9+. All sold on. Simply could not get on with them. They could do nothing my Sky9X could do and the button sequences with them was awful. Horus is a different kettle of fish altogether. Once it is fine-tuned firmware-wise whether it be the (currently bleeding awful...

Re: ERSKY9x Questions

Righty. Got the following: Power on so RED LED is on. Throttle stick centre. Lower stick - no change. Press the black thumbwheel at right side of TX twice, and LED changes to PURPLE. At this point no matter what is done, no backlight shows. Files are on the card again with the right timestamps. I th...

Re: ERSKY9x Questions

No difference Mike. No errors when flashing but only the same LED colours sequence. Formatted the SD card and the same files are there, and are correctly timestamped for when the flashing process was carried out. How exactly are you flashing your board? I can make sure I am following you exactly then.

Re: ERSKY9x Questions

No go Mike. Uploaded firmware to Horus without issue - no errors showing. On pressing the 'on' button, it sets the LED to red. Pressing again sets it to a sort of 'purple' and then a long press sets it to blue. On releasing the button, LED goes off. Nothing shows on the screen at any time.

Would it run on a production release Mike? Would be happy to give it a go.

I know there are two versions of OpenTX and FrOS for Horus. One for the beta test and another for the production versions because of hardware differences.

To really use the Horus, particularly the display, will take a while. At present, I'm just displaying a 128 by 64 image in monochrome, but double size so using 256 by 128 pixels. The display is actually 480 by 272 16-bit colour! Reading the SD card and voice/beep output is now working. Also, I don'...

RCHH, have you done the rebooting trim fix on your radio ? That only applies to the stock board, not any of the replacement ones. Thought so. Hi bob,
Thanks for the reply. I have not done that fix, as I can confirm the reboots are not related to the trim switches. Have never had a reboot when using trims, and on this model I have never used any trims anyway.
However, it is something I will have a looksee at.

Many thanks again.

Well done! :) Regarding the throw. I tested several gimbals (FlySky / Turnigy, FrSky PR10 and the M9). I spent the evening fitting the new M9 gimbals. Went about it ever so slightly different than andrewju did, in that I was not wishing to chop away any of the alloy plates on the gimbals. All I did was unsolder the 8-wire blocks from the trimmer PCB's and resolder them on the other side. Very much as...
