Re: Taranis EEPE. Will it work on a 9XR Pro?

The conversion of Thr to Ele may have occured because eepe and eepskye didn't both have the same "model version". You need to either choose a default model version in "preferences", or make sure you have updated models by clicking on the version update button(s) in the Model Set...

Re: Taranis EEPE. Will it work on a 9XR Pro?

Once i "transfered" one model from eepe to eepskye and every "thr" channel in er9x became "ele" in eepskye, so things have to be checked carefully. From Taranis to 9xr-pro and vice versa, only the switches and pots will change and have to be reassigned, but everything h...

Re: er9x development

I don't need to flash the eeprom every time i flash the tx because I have the fuses set not to erase the eeprom when flashing. But still if you have to configure your radio completely every time you flash your radio, then you are not doing it right. The right procedure is: Download your eeprom into...

Re: er9x development

Guys, this is not a setting you change every day.. This is hardware related, so once done it is permanent.. Mike's idea is very good on having this setting only in eepe for the m64. You keep your eeprom saved on the computer.. Another advantage is that you don't mess your settings while playing wit...

Re: er9x development

So my question is, how bad would it be if you HAD to use eepe to set this sort of hardware option on the M64-frsky version, and couldn't do it directly on the radio? Mike. Although i thing this is unnecessary, i have a question which is: you change the option in eepe and then you flash the radio, r...

Flybar Heli Template

Hi all, i've seen some templates at this forum and realized that all were incomplete or i havent seen one important option to replace the "swash afr" feature present at futaba radios that makes it easyer to configure the heli collective to the needed position. With the help of MikeB (who m...

Re: Taranis X9D Plus & Windows 8.1 Problems

I've setup my Taranis on 3 different Windows 7 machines now with minimal problems, my buddy got his today and we are having problems connecting to WIndows 8.1. From my machine I flashed the Taranis to 2.0.15 and loaded my profiles and updated the SDCard accordingly... at least I thought I did. Powe...

Re: ERSKY9X on Taranis

Possibly I need to add an "inactivity Alarm Volume" setting. Mike. Edit: Next test version/release will include a Volume option for the inactivity alarm. I was about to ask you that. I really think its a good idea, because when it comes to voice sounds (rather than a voiceless audio) the ...

Re: ERSKY9X on Taranis

I have this one, "Welcome to Ersky9x".

The stock taranis sound files will not work, the sound file gets distorted with er9x.

Re: ERSKY9X on Taranis

Well i have to admit its a clever idea. I checked that it doesn't work with the taranis stock sound files. I tried using the "inactivity alarm" sound, by renaming it, and some crappy distorted sound is heard, like if the sound is too high for the speaker. Ill have to custom some sound file...

Re: ERSKY9X on Taranis

Hi all, i installed x9dp rom in taranis plus and the inactivity alarm sound is very high. I tried puting the volume down, but when the inactivity alarm is triggered i see the volume bar go up (right) to almost max and then down. This happens exactly when the sound file is played, so i guess that the...

Re: er9x development

1. Add an extra mix (replace multiplex) at the end of the collective channel: R +90% THIS This takes whatever all the other mixes on the channel have produced, and reduces the result to 90% (or whatever value you put in the weight entry). @MikeB, This mix works great, i wont even bother looking at ...

Re: er9x development

From the manual: Swash Ring As the name implies, this feature limits stick outputs, just as a physical swash ring limits stick movements. Notice that this feature only works on AIL and ELE, regardless of stick mode selected. I think the explanation is clear.. we wrote it based on the fact that if s...

Re: er9x development

ok, now that makes sense. My opinion is that this info should be in the manual, just to avoid confusion, like in my case, since i dont have this software developer mindset i thought that 0= not moving at all instead of thinking that this value would disable the feature, giving it the full movement. ...

Re: er9x development

If that's the case, then you just need a simple mix on the collective channel.. Can you enlighten me? If you can make a mix that moves the swashplate / collective with the values 0-100 (ie -100 to 100??) and make it go up and down the mainshaft, without changing the limits and subtrims, then i thin...

Re: er9x development

My point was that all the new development seems to be going into FBL helis with flight controllers. It's doubtful that anyone with the necessary heli expertise would want to invest time to develop sophisticated control systems for the older technology. I have the same opinion, everybody is convergi...

Re: er9x development

Second, all this is probably moot, as the whole idea of CCPM programming is old technology -- essentially a legacy capability for people who still fly old flybar helis. The world has moved to flybarless controllers that just need simple control inputs and do the complex stuff on board the heli. I j...

reduces the travel from the control.. It doesn't change the middle point.. Change the max control for both Ele and Ail.. I would try the dual rate screen, note that you can set both sides of the stick independently.. so you could set more down elevator than up.. Read the manual on how to do that.. ...

Re: er9x development

Swash ring limits the angle of the swashplate and i think ersky9x has a bug on this feature, because 0 = 100,(compare 1 - 100)! I don't think so.. Swash ring works like if you put a metal ring over the stick to limit it's travel equally all around. I believe in old analogic transmitters that is wha...

Oh they are... But I don't like them near my neck.. me neither, allways keep them at safe distance. Re: er9x development

So Mike, in theory is this: Setting the SWASH AFR / Pitch & Cyclic Pitch This setting is for managing the swashplate mixing. It is typically used to limit the amount of travel the swashplate moves, and therefore control the maximum amount of pitch. As stated before, the TREX clones are capable o...

Re: Understanding er9x / Ersky9x

Hi all, I noticed that when i was configuring the swashring in the heli menu of ersky9x, the angle was decreasing along with the value (0 - 100), but when it reached 0 the swashring had the same value as 100, which means that the swashring had a full swing / amplitude. This shouldn't be normal, right?

How do you adjust the swash ring in the heli menu? I have assigned it to channel 12, like you have it there, but when i change the value (0-100) i dont see the swash ring move. Edit: I found out that the 0 value has the same response as the 100, so from 1 to 100 it will work fine as long as you avoi...

Check this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e5wn6aAY7EU . Although for the majority of the flybarless helis you choose the 90 swashplate, for the 3gx, you have to choose 120 swashplate and assign a channel for collective. ps: the video is in pt-br, if you pay attention to the images you will ca...
