Re: ERSKY9X Coding

With the Deviation firmware on my 7E, the tiny whoop clones like the cheap E010 (not the ones bind n fly with DSMX or FrSky receivers with the naked fcb's and FPV cameras already on them that are very near the Inductrix originals) and the H36's that use the NRF24L01, they do rebind on every power up...

Re: ERSKY9X Coding

Haha! I have a couple of the JJRC H36's on the way for my two girls. I like the 'ducted' props - much safer than the CX10's they have virtually destroyed! For a tenner a piece has to be worth it! Only thing is it means getting another Devo 7E or they will squabble like hell if one has to use the sta...

Missed that one. As I've only modified an AR9X board, this is getting ticked correctly for me. I've just posted a test version for SKY/AR9X only that sould fix that. tedbmoss: I've also posted a copy of eepskye that should fix the model copy problem for the 9Xtreme. Mike. Outstanding Mike. Re: ERSKY9X Coding

Mike, I have found an oddity with test ver.C7 on my SAM4 chipped Sky Rev.B1 board that could be the copro/date/time setting issue. When checking Radio Setup > version, it shows as MOD REVB, but no copro info on the screen. I booted in hardware screen avail. mode and the board is default ticked as an...

Yes battery connected as before. But menu long does not set time etc.

I recall similar from a long time ago, but cannot recall the remedy.

No probs on the Horus, but you are welcome to mine anytime.

Not unless you have AFHDS2A telemetry running on Multi. RCHH: To use SAM-BA again, having flashed the code once, plug in the USB, hold the TRN switch on then power on. Re: ERSKY9X Coding

Ah but your 9X is far more advanced than mine. I don't even have a rotary enc. and I only have one extra 3-way switch. You have got your one fully loaded! Heh heh!

Still prefer the 9X to my Horus though anyday of the week, which rarely sees light of day. No ErSky9X for it you see ... lol!

Re: ERSKY9X Coding

How did you solder the chip? Soldering iron or hot air? Or something else? ;) Quite expensive the chips here, at least where I have been looking :( João Hot air to remove, soldering iron back on. I bought four chips that worked out at just over £6 each, as there was a small order handling charge.

Re: ERSKY9X Coding

Mine has a problem in that it is not showing in USB devices yet. Will need to check all the legs on the MCU to make sure no bridges/dry joints.

EDIT:

Scrub the above checking the MCU. It was fine. I used a brand new USB cable - urns out it is faulty. GRRRR!!!!

Re: ERSKY9X Coding

I am thinking the same here. Ar9X first I reckon and try that one, as if it goes pear shaped I can get another. Sky boards are as rare as chickens teeth, and I could not do without one. Just out of curiosity, with the chip upgrade, what are the possibilities for features with ErSky9X in the future? ...

Got ya. Solder/flux paste combined. I do have some I bought from eBay back along that is not half bad at all. Will find out what it is exactly for you.

Re: ERSKY9X Coding

If you mean just flux, rather than solder/flux paste, use TK83 'no clean' flux - years old but it is good stuff. Cheap enough on eBay.

I have no idea what paste I use, as I acquired a big dollop of it from my old works. It is very high quality though, that I do know.

That's the stuff!

Also of almost invaluable use are paste stencils. Just the right amout of solder gunk in the right places really ends up with perfect bonds. No bridges, no dry joints ...

Re: ERSKY9X Coding

It is not too bad soldering the blighters back on. A nice smooth slightly rounded tip and solder paste does well. The awkward bit with a soldering iron is getting them off. More than once (in a previous assembly/rework life) with LQF packages I have thought all the legs were free only to end up with...
