Re: er9x development

MikeB,
There may be more '2561s out there than you think. I have four 9x tx with '2561. I like many others are mostly silent in the forums as I have mediocre technical abilities.
Thankyou,
Mike Milan

Re: Understanding er9x / Ersky9x

Maybe I am missing something. Is there a way to save the voice alarms with EEPE . I seem to lose all of them when I edit a model on the computer and transfer the model back to 9x. This 9x has 2561, megasound and FRSKY mods. Er9x is FrSky mod version.

Try studying this series of tutorials. Long but excellent. After viewing these I actually understood the er9x style of programming.

Where in Canada are you? I could help you if you don't mind shipping to Michigan. Or if you are near Windsor or Sarnia you could bring it to me, fly some, and fix it together.

Not quite sure why I can not open your eepe file. eepe (rev 392) sees it as "hex" and wont open it. What am I doing wrong?

1+ for the continued development of the 9x. With the 128 or 2561 they are far from obsolete. Thank you for the continued efforts!

Re: Replace 5V regulator

Bob,
You might have try using the command prompt in Windows. I used this command with success:
C:\Program Files\eePe>avrdude.exe -P USB -c usbasp -p m2561 -B 500 -u -U lfuse:w:0xDE:m -U hfuse:w:0xD1:m -U efuse:w:0xFC:m -v

Your path may be different.

Re: Turnigy 9x magic smoke

The atmega2561 works just fine in all four of my 9x radios. If you haven't purchased the 128 then it seems to make sense to use the 2561.
I purchased these at Digikey: http://www.digikey.com/product-detail/e ... -ND/735457

@Toroddandre,
I agree with bstott. But I would change to a m2561 chip. Same effort, a lot more memory! One would hope that your problem is the processor. Chip quick makes it very easy.

Re: ATmega2561 Upgrade to Turnigy 9X

This occurred first time with an accidental short press of "left". Fortunately I was not flying. After noticing, I duplicated it on the other two Tx that I moded. So if my clumsy thumbs were to short press the left or right buttons during flight..... A second press of either button restores normal f...

Re: ATmega2561 Upgrade to Turnigy 9X

I am wondering if the following is intended. Flashed with er9x2561. When I push either the left or right button, all switch, pot, or stick inputs fail to register on screen or pass control commands to the model. Seems like this May be unintended as if in flight this would cause loss of control. By t...

This is such a great upgrade and turns out once one knows what to do and in which order it was very easy. I have the second Tx working. Re: ATmega2561 Upgrade to Turnigy 9X

Andrew was right. The only way I could get the display to work was to manually download the er9x-2561 file, then flash with that. The one downloaded by eepe did not work. Thankyou all for your help
