Re: My 9Xtreme Installation

Thanks Joao. I tried that at first. I probably misunderstood the wires. I will try again with that setup. In the hardware menu I only see choices for Pot4 (or Pot5) of Ext1 thru 4. What should I choose?

Re: My 9Xtreme Installation

So for now let's just address the left side of the Tx. These 9 Pin connector wires are: Gray = Pin one 5v? Purple = Pin 2 Blue = Pin 3 Green = Pin 4 (Ground) Orange = Pin 5 = Ext 7 Yellow = Pin 6 = Ext 8 White = Pin 7 = Ext 3 Red = Pin 8 (digital ground) Black = Pin 9 = Ext 4 I think this is correct...

Re: My 9Xtreme Installation

These 9 Pin connector wires are:
Gray = Pin one 5v?
Purple = Pin 2
Blue = Pin 3
Green = Pin 4 (Ground)
Orange = Pin 5
Yellow = Pin 6
White = Pin 7
Red = Pin 8 (digital ground)
Black = Pin 9

These pictures are from the top of the Tx so Pin one is to our left in the pictures.

Re: My 9Xtreme Installation

So, on the right the green wire is ground and is the gray wire 5v? The gray (pin one on both sides)is presently going to the sliders red wire and the green (pin 4) to the brown. The middle pin of the slider (signal) is going to the the yellow wire on the right (pin6 = ext2). The left signal pin is g...

Here are the close ups of the 9 pin connectors. All wires have appropriate voltages. ( That is if the 8 "ext" pins are pulled high, as they have 5v)

Re: My 9Xtreme Installation

Joao, here are the pics. I think they are clear enough to identify the pins connected to the two sliders. Maybe not so clear is that I replace the Ele switch with a 3 position switch. It connected to Ext4 (black wire from 9 pin connector on the left side of the transmitter. It is working well. Thank...

Actually I read both and they are almost identical. I had already taken the button off and cut the trace on the opposite side before I saw your post that it is not necessary. Oh well, practice makes perfect! I just soldered to pin 34 of the BT module. Also I removed the pins and direct soldered to t...

Re: How to install and configure Trainer over Bluetooth..

jhsa, That did the trick. Neither radio reboots after 10 min! I used the version labeled for the multi. I misunderstood what each version is for. So all is good. My two extra 3 position switches are the "extra" switches from the main board. The P3 3 position is from last years mod to convert P3. I n...

Re: How to install and configure Trainer over Bluetooth..

jhsa, did you experience a quick reboot (with drop in voltage) when connected via bluetooth? I have two 9xtremes with your bluetooth mod and have succesfully connected and controlled the Master. The slave is a new 9x with just the 9xtreme added. The Master is a previous 9x with a new mother board (1...

Would a RMILEC signal converter (up to 18ch) work as well?
I have used it with one XJT and one X receiver for 12 channels.

Re: 3 Position Swicth Upgrades - How to....

Ok, after alot of trial and error I have been able to map the "EXT" with the 9 pin connectors:

EXT1 A5
EXT2 A6
EXT3 B7
EXT4 B9
EXT5 A9
EXT6 B5? does not work
EXT7 A7
EXT8 B6? does not work

So we now have available six more 3 position switches!
Thankyou Mike and Steven

Re: Receive 9xtreme and Installation

So, I now have 2 9Xtreme boards up and running well. Now I would like to replace one or more of the 2 position switches with 3 position...

I have in use two of RMILEC converters. It converts signals both ways if needed in a different application. It will convert up to 18 sbus ch. to pwm or ppm. I use one with XJT/X8R combination. I found one here on ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/311395264338?ul_noapp=true&ul_ref=http%253A%252F%252...

MikeB wrote:Anyone who has received one of these boards, please confirm whether the processor fitted is a '128 or a '128A.
The original board has a '64A on it. In passing, the '128 takes twice as much current as the '64A or '128A (40mA instead of 20mA).

Mike.
They are Atmel GA128A, 1107.

They indeed do have an Atmega 128. Just received two of them. I am going to replace them both with the Atmega 2561.

There may be more '2561s out there than you think. I have four 9x tx with '2561. I like many others are mostly silent in the forums as I have mediocre technical abilities.

Maybe I am missing something. Is there a way to save the voice alarms with EEPE . I seem to lose all of them when I edit a model on the computer and transfer the model back to 9x. This 9x has 2561, megasound and FRSKY mods. Er9x is FrSky mod version.

Where in Canada are you? I could help you if you don't mind shipping to Michigan. Or if you are near Windsor or Sarnia you could bring it to me, fly some, and fix it together.
