Speed sensor for low velocity

@mstrens @carbo My experience: (1) Using one MS5611 for TEK-variometer and a second MS5611 for altitude: It´s only interesting for high speed. By low speed-thermal-circling with TEK the difference to an extra altitude sensor without TEK is low. Changes in weather/atmospheric pressure during flying m...

Re: New vario sounds on next release of openTX

@mstrens Thank you for giving my informations to "bsongis" and for your comments on it. @bertrand35 Thank you for extension of code for Taranis-variometer-sound and new features like display of dTE or true airspeed on Taranis. @RaptorSense Thank you for giving informations on this project: http://ww...

Re: Vario tones

Hi, Is it possible to lower the tones my Tranis (openTX) makes when using the frsky vairo? I'm finding. The tones a bit shrill after a while. Or should I make my own tones and use a function to play them at related vertical speeds using Vspd? Pay attention to: http://openrcforums.com/forum/viewtopi...

Re: Introduction to the openx vario/altimeter

Not to be a nag, but was curious on the smart port status and has there been any more progress to getting other fields working? Great work so far though :D I just posted (a few minutes ago) a version that can transmit other fields. Read carefully the comments in the post (e.g. divider resitors must...

Re: Introduction to the openx vario/altimeter

Yes of course, FrSky's own PC interface cable used for updates is an RS232-type, with +5.6V / -5.6V levels. And everyone else uses the oXs as is. Yes, most digital IO-ports of used STM32F103C8T6 (receiver X6R) are 5V tolerant. Have a look in datasheet http://www.st.com/web/en/resource/te...CD001615...

This is it !
But is SmartPort 5V tolerant ?

Added, see posts below:
Yes, you find in datasheet of used 3V3-microcontroller: " Most I/O-ports are 5V tolerant "

Re: Introduction to the openx vario/altimeter

... 3) if arduino works fine with Gy-63, the issue is perhaps on the communication with the X6R; you can try changing the device ID; please note that there is a minor contradiction in the code you downloaded from google: In the file config.h, you have : #define SENSOR_ID 0xBA and in the file Aseria...

Re: IC on GY-63

On my first try, openxsensor is not running. I suspect that SDA and SCL is not working. Voltmeter constantly displays about 5V = VCC on both SDA and SCL-pin. I connected CSB-pin to GND, therefore using I2C-adrress 0x77 respectively bin1110111. Hence I explored the GY-63-PCB: ... Second IC with 6pin...
