Re: Control TX via Smartphone over BT / USB

Standard SBUS is 100000 baud (not even 115200). At present, this is the only baudrate supported on the trainer jack. You need to configure the trainer source in the radio setup menu. You have 4 trainer profiles you may configure, then select one for use with a specific model. Again, in the trainer s...

Re: Control TX via Smartphone over BT / USB

1. Yes SBUS. 2. Yes, but in various ways. Some radios support adding a HC-05/HC-06 to get BT. You may use the trainer input socket, and pass a standard SBUS signal in to that (does work on the T12, I just tested it with a SBUS signal from a FrSky receiver). Some radios (e.g. Taranis/QX7), support re...

The T12 comes with a bootloader so you you may simply use eepskye to flash it. There is a test version of ersky9x on http://www.er9x.com/.

Yes, MODEL SETUP/GENERAL menu near the bottom (quicker to enter the menu and go UP to get there). I usually have a pot assigned to volume.

They should only appear if you have set those switches to be 3-pos switches. ^ is for switch up, - is for switch in the middle, v is for switch down.

Re: Turnigy 9X 9Ch / 16 channels?

Not on the original 9X, it can only support a single module.
All I can suggest is a XJT module, as that supports 16 channels to either 2 'X' receivers, or a single 'X' receiver using the SBUS output for the extra channels.

More than 21 characters shouldn't be a problem, you should be able to use the left and right buttons to get the name to scroll sideways.

Re: ERSKY9x Questions

If you have a 9XR-PRO, then you have 512K of flash. You need to flash ersky9xr_rom.bin (note the small "r").
To check what chip you have, go to the "BOOT REASON" screen (Up LONG then LEFT), the chip ID is shown on the bottom line as 8 characters, should be 28AB 0A60 on the 'PRO.

Re: ERSKY9X Coding

This is a thread for ersky9x, the firmware that runs on radios that have an ARM processor, not an AVR processor. Further posts should be on er9x threads please. 1. I don't have any of those displays, so testing would not be possible. Also, I2C is too slow. er9x updates the whole display every 10mS. ...

Re: er9x development

Just tested a change on a '2561, seems to work OK. As these are warnings, I've left the original (0023) message being spoken so anyone who doesn't have 0074 and 0075 still get the "Alert". I then send either 0074 or 0075 as required. I think you could remove 0023 if you have 0074 and 0075 if you don...

Re: er9x development

Voice file 0023 is a general purpose "ALERT" message. I do have the throttle warning as voice 0074 and switch warning as 0075, but these are not currently played. What processor do you have M64 or M128? I used the same file (0023) for both warnings to keep the firmware small so it fits in the M64. I...

Re: XR8 rx telemetary sensors

I've made a change to the firmware for the X8R2Analog device so it doesn't "hog" the SPort bus. This update now only sends 1 or 2 frames every 200mS instead of sending every time it is polled, which could have been a frame every 24mS. The updated firmware (which is open source) is here: https://gith...

Re: ERSKY9X Coding

The code to handle the popup, and the move operation is quite involved, which is the main reason I haven't added it so far. What I've put in now was quite easy to add, so I feel it is worth having as it is. You can copy and paste voice alerts and logical switches between models as well as within a m...

Re: ERSKY9X Coding

I'm not so sure! I feel that most of the time, you want to select a voice alert for editing, only occasionally do you need copy/paste. The way I have it at the moment, you don't get the popup and then need to select "Edit", so it is quicker for editing. Note that the "clipboard" is global, so you ma...

Re: ERSKY9X Coding

There was a suggestion of adding options like "move" and "copy" to voice alerts. This does involve quite a bit of dedicated code to handle all the different states (moving, copying etc), as well as a popup to allow selection of edit, copy etc. What I have just added, however, is a "clipboard" for vo...

We need to check you have the protocol and telemetry set OK, On the (external) module protocol, you need to use XJT (renamed from PXX) as the protocol, not PPM. You then bind using the BIND option in the protocol menu. Now check to see if you are receiving telemetry, do you see a value for RSSI (fro...

Yes you need the Rx powered and bound. The script reads the values from the Rx, if the Rx is not there, you can't change them!

Re: Lua script for automatic trims

Well if the FC needs the sub-trim values in normal operation, then you need to force the Tx outputs to 0% while the FC powers up. This may be done using safety switches, these override the sub-trim.
