Re: T9X mod to use both Flysky module and Frysky module

Hmm not 100% sure, but I grabbed it from the DX4e, see attached pic for location.

A 6.3V rated 220uF cap shouldn't be much bigger than that.

Not for DSM from what you (and the code, and the Spektrum protocol references we have) say:

Re: Question for "original Spektrum" Transmitter owners

If you went for a DX7s or higher, you'd have access to the 2048 step / 11ms framerate mode (that only makes sense with high-performance digital servos). But the 1024 steps and 22ms framerate the 9x feeds the transmitter module with are just the same the DX6i or lower do send.

Re: FrSky Hardware / Software / RF protocol hacking

I guess the hardware is so similar that the code will run on both and still allow you to reflash (same UART used, etc)...

After all, apart from the few different I/Os, the RX could be used as TX and vice versa...

Re: Er9x or Open9x?

Here are the variables you can use as alarm sources in open9x. You'd create a custom switch here, then use that custom switch to trigger an action in "function switches". The actual sound options depend on the board you have. On the stock board with beeper all you can do is trigger a continuous beep...

Re: FrSky Hardware / Software / RF protocol hacking

OK, with some help from Jhsa I found the datasheets from the other active components (attached at end of post): RF switches (2x): RDAES02 RF PA/LNA: RDAT212 I have then looked into the firmware upgrade procedure / Bootloader. I was hoping to find the standard STM32 bootloader, but it's unfortunately...

Another one:

On the home screen, on the views for output positions in numeric and bar form: Left/right to toggle between CH1-8 and CH9-16, like for the inputs

We'll soon have 16 channels, and can already use 12 :)

Re: Elevator/Aileron mix help.

If you pull the elevator down AND add full ailerons then yes, you'll have 95% total elevator, it's normal, and that's pretty much how you'd want it to be. You could do this: ch1 +100% Ail ch2 +75% Ele -20% Ail switch (ELE) curve (|x|) -20% Ele switch(ELE) But then, whenever your mix is active, you'l...

A few points are mentioned here... http://code.google.com/p/open9x/ But the best is to just try yourself :) Use Companion9x, start by backing up your EEPROM to a file, then in C9X preferences select open9x with the options you want, download, and flash open9x with the backup/restore eeprom option. Re: Elevator/Aileron mix help.

What do you want to do? Just a "flying wing" elevon mix?

Did you try simply selecting the "Elevon/Delta" template in C9X? Double click on a model slot, go to the last "Templates" tab, double-click the template you want to apply.
It really isn't that complicated :)

Does it still make sense to maintain both?

Oh yes, I remember that... hadn't yet noticed the problem back then! Certainly explains it... The actual allowable percentage would depend on the actual device you're driving with the PPM. Some would certainly tolerate a smaller sync pulse than others. Here are the screenshots I sent along with the ...

Re: Eeprom to Tx causes recalibration?

Read from TX reads and shows you the document in C9X. Then you can edit it and save it to a file manually if you want.
Read to file just directly saves to a file, which you can of course later open to edit.

Just a slight practical difference :)

Re: How to set up 16ch Tx with er9x!

I did another test, and come to some worrying conclusion about the PPM out of FrSky stuff. What I said about 8 channels at 100% not fitting in the 18ms frame is really serious. It's usually considered that the sync pulse of a PPM signal should be at least about 4.5ms. With that 18ms frame, this get...

Yes, in the French manual :D Pretty simple though. Basically it lets you do 2 things, have different sets of trims, and slowing down the activation/deactivation of a mix.
