Re: GPS sensor

#define INTERVAL_FRAME1 150
#define INTERVAL_FRAME2 300 // used by GPS

I tried this and it appears to work OK for me at least just using GPS and vario.
I am getting GPS data roughly every 400 to 500 ms. And vario data seems OK.
Thanks.

Re: GPS sensor

Ok thanks for clearing that up!
So hub has a much slower speed, I did not know that( or more likely I forgot lol)
I will experiment with some different values and report back!
If I can get twice a second then it will be great.
Very windy and wet here now so won't be able to test though....
Thanks.

Re: GPS sensor

Hi again, Tested v7 on hub protocol and GPS is only changing once every second. On s.port it changes more like 5hz. All data for GPS seems to change at the same time on hub where s.port it changes different data at different times. Is this correct? I wondered if GPS was not getting configured for 10...

Re: OpenXSensor project page on google code

sorry to bother you again lol,
but did you turn sensitivity down on imu at some point because reaction times seem similar again to no imu?

Re: OpenXSensor project page on google code

Ok I tried on the d8r and there is a problem, first there is no GPS speed showing Then after a minute or so all readings go crazy, jumping to extreme values, this includes altitude, v.speed, and GPS data. I have GPS and IMU enabled, and frsky hub and s.port enabled so it automatically knows if its c...

Re: OpenXSensor project page on google code

I did reset on tx, which on the x6r zeroes the distance, on the diy RX did not work, I think it's RX side , Midelic said he will be releasing update for hub telemetry soon so that may fix it, I don't think anyone has trested GPS on his diy rx code yet. Will try the frsky d8r tommorow if no one else ...

Re: OpenXSensor project page on google code

I tested on a x6r today and it worked fine. I tested on the only hub RX I have free which is midelica diy one, the vario worked and GPS data was there but distance was wrong on taranis , I think this was probably the RX side though.. Fabe , did you test on hub or s.port? If I get chance tommorow I w...

Re: OpenXSensor project page on google code

Flew for the first time in ages today and noticed that after flying for 15 mins or so I landed and alt was at zero.... I thought the altimeter was not working at first because I used to get a drift of around 15 to 30ft... Stock settings... Really good stuff! BTW , is d8 working yet on the GPS or IMU...

Re: Frysky DIY RX-F802

I've flown with it in a foamy, 700 ft and rssi up in the 70 to 80 range so quite good, now has hub telemetry with an update, as well as s.bus 8 channels or ppm... Nice antenna too. I have built a diy one from scratch and it ended up much bigger and uglier than this and cost about £7, for £5 more its...

Yep, great work, can't be any faster I don't think.
I see you are using outputing world linear acceleration z for test on gitbhub .... Is this for more tuning?

Re: GPS sensor

Check the config file carefully against the one that works to see differences,
It might be the force s.port needs in commenting?

Re: GPS sensor

Well you could run the LD over ground script on its own, using the LD over ground may during the triangle racing well be considered cheating anyway lol.. :D . Seriously I don't think LD over ground would take much lua space , it could probably be incorporated into the GPS triangle racing script, I b...

Good that is working now !
Where are you ?
Have you tried looking at the logs and going to Google earth?
There is a setting on taranis for different GPS but I can't remember what it does but it might be that.?

Re: GPS sensor

It would be handy if it worked adding 6050 to the gy-63 because then I can upgrade my existing sensors cheaply... Testing some more, I did not notice much bad effect from side to side movement but moving up and down fairly rapidly repeatedly , seemed to confuse the results a little, but soon settled...

Re: GPS sensor

We are using the gy-86, has the ms5611 and 6050 and compass but I don't think compass is being used? I also bought the gy521 which has just the 6050 on it but not tried that yet, I was going to try to connect it in parralel with the ms5611 but with resistors to limit the signal volts to 3.3v and see...

I don't have ppm connected...yet!
I will look to see where I need to change the v.speed then.

Re: GPS sensor

ok tested with new arduino ide, it uploads now. altitude does not always work first time and i need to uplug and plug back in then it works. i connected pin 2 of arduino pro min to INTA on gy-86. altitude seems more responsive then with just the gy-63, and no problems i can see with other movements....
