Re: Slider switches on Taranis sides ???.

Hi Rob.

Thanks for that........on my previous radios, they were known as slider switches !.

Where do I find them in the programming though........I can't see them listed anywhere ?.

Slider switches on Taranis sides ???.

Hi all. As well as flying EP models, I also fly gliders. I would like to assign the spoiler/camber mix to one of the slider switches on the side of the case......but cannot find anything in the switch assignments, that tells you how to use them ??. Maybe its just an oversight by me........I dunno ?....

I've recently been buying a few plans, the latest one being a Hawker Tempest.....and would love this icon to be done ?. http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?sa=X&espv=210&es_sm=93&biw=1440&bih=809&tbm=isch&tbnid=9T1Tlesb9AG4sM:&imgrefurl=http://www.hobby-lobby.com/hawker_tempest_arf_528651_prd1.htm&docid=...

Re: Taranis firmware update

I got so far, it found the dropdown file in Zadig.........the crashed my system !!.

For some reason beyond me.......the driver is either missing or corrupted. I'm no computer expert........its getting annoying now.

Re: Taranis firmware update

Thanks guys.

I tried both approaches........but it still came up as either not able to find my Tx (EEPROM update), or came up with the DFU issue as noted above.

So......I've wiped everything again, and will re-install C9X.

Re: Taranis firmware update

Found it OK.........but on trying to flash, I keep getting the following message:-

"DFU Util did not finish correctly".

The Tx is connected to my Laptop OK, as the USB symbol is on the screen of the Tx?.

Sorry about this.....

Re: Taranis firmware update

Hi Kilrah.

On checking my version.......its r2588, dated 07/07/2013 ?.

I think there might be a problem with c9x, so I'll delete it off my laptop..........and reinstall it.

No worries Scott, we all get side-tracked with other stuff...........after all, having pics of models on your Tx is less important than real life stuff !.

Thinking about it, I might re-record all the sounds on mine, as some of the standard voice ones aren't spoken that well.

Re: thanks everyone

Yeah, got to admit....the info supplied with the Taranis is very poor, which is a shame. I had a JR PCM9xII for 7 years before the Taranis....but even with that knowledge, programming this one was like starting with a blank canvas. No question is too basic, and no one thinks you're foolish.....for a...

ShowMaster

I have the "normal precision" vario in a Lanyu e-fair/cherub.........it works, but the air in the UK has been rubbish this year, with very few good days.

Re: setting up alierons taranis help

That's what I'm doing on my Bixler, but that is not what he asked for ;) That's a fair comment......but why run two servos off one channel, when there are other channels free, as are possible mixing options. I could understand that if our friend was using an old basic Ch4 Tx, with no electronic mix...

Ahh, I read it wrong.....

I think it depends where you place your files..........I assume it would play the name first, if you placed the file in CF1 ???.

Re: WAV files for Taranis

I just fooled around a little bit and found something strange. I would like to have my models spoken at the beginning (custom functions with Argument ONE). So it starts up, tells me first that the motorchannel is inactive, then in which mode my gyro is and THEN it tells me what model I've selected....

Re: setting up alierons taranis help

Why not just run both servos, on two channels of the Rx ?. Say.......Ch2 for Right Aileron / Ch6 for Left Aileron.........seeing that the Taranis has a built in electronic "Y-lead" mixing option. Depending on the model, it opens up new mixing options like differential or flaperons. Just a thought ?.

Lets hope they're cheaper than JR/Graupner is or was ?. I owned a JR/Graupner MC-12 around 8 years ago.......after buying the basic 4Ch Tx off a mate. I needed to buy extra switches and dials to expand it fully to 7Ch.......but the retailer (based in Newark, UK) was charging something like £13.95 fo...

Re: WAV files for Taranis

Hi all.

I've recorded a few voice notifications as I thought there were some missing for glider and EP flyers.

They were recorded using Audacity, basically at my first attempt.......with a £1 headset and mic, from Poundland !!.
