Re: Transmitter low battery warning too late

Do I still need to calibrate the voltage sensor? I think that was no longer required with Taranis?

I can file a issue on google code later, when I had a look at my FW version. I had a later dev version.

Transmitter low battery warning too late

I forgot to charge my Tranny last day at the slope. Rookie mistake but never mind. What really pissed me off is the following. I was merrily flying my plane (thanks god only a Wildthing foamie) and suddenly the radio cuts out for a second or so. I got control back for a moment which at least allowed...

Re: Sensor Hub or OpenXvario on X8R receiver

Heck. I just ordered the new FrSky vario.
T9 where out of stock. And Giantshark only had the standard resolution one.

I heard I will need a firmware update for those? True?

Sensor Hub or OpenXvario on X8R receiver

I'm setting up a plane with the new X8R receiver. But it just occurred to me that I can not really hook up my existing vario since that uses the old RX/TX style sensor hub serial port. X8R only has SPORT. I ordered all sorts of FrSky gear but forgot to add the new SPORT vario. I suppose that is it, ...

Re: Disable telemetry alarms

The model I flew was mostly faster than my brain could cope, so I did not look at the screen to verify the alarms.

Re: Disable telemetry alarms

I keep saying, the alarms went off without actually falling below the thresholds anywhere. That's why I ignored it. Just the right time to fly on a badly charged battery.

Re: Disable telemetry alarms

Some more field testing got me some ideas. I think the voice means "A too low" and the alarm was due to A1 issues. Alarm values or spurious readings. It is a old style receiver, I think it has something to do with that. The model showing the issues just found it's end on a cliff on Lundy island. Due...

Re: Disable telemetry alarms

Did that. Also already posted the files. If I knew how to just disable the alarms. The 9x firmware allowed you to set alarm levels or none. The current firmware only allows me to set values. Bad though if the sensor value (zero) is also the lowest possible alarm value. Of zero does not mean off, I d...

Re: Disable telemetry alarms

Any ideas how to deal with that?
I like to fly this receiver on my soaring holidays end of the week. Right now that means I may need to take my old 9X with me where I can disable alarms.

Re: Lua interpreter in openTx

* write access to telemetry screen Probably not intended to be dynamic yet, but sure not a bad idea. * read/write access to s.port data stream Well a few access methods for telemetry values already exist. Someone needs to do some time copying and pasting to implement them all. That is not access to...

Re: Lua interpreter in openTx

PS: Addendum to my remarks about my 'one to rule them all' script idea. I guess once I get that out of my head, we would be quite well served by having individual little scripts for certain functional parts. Like Delta Mix, V-Tail Mix, 4-servo Wing. Those individual bits would not have to be as dyna...

Re: Lua interpreter in openTx

And I just had a look at the VALUES. It's numbers only. I think for total world domination, two things are important. A Setup function that can draw user input forms to ask more complex information. (Wizard driven, graphical, whatever) - Which is hard to do portable, and lua code would have to draw ...

Re: Lua interpreter in openTx

So, how do those scripts work? I think I'm still missing some magic here. How do they know what input and output and run functions are? Who calls them and when? Where is getSourceValue() defined? And I see awesomness in the input values. Can they be non-numeric though? (drop down to select tail type...

Setting everything to zero did certainly not do the trick.

Sure. But it just got weirder.

Hm, this is weird.
I created a new model and now it's quiet.
Perhaps it's somehow because I had copied that model memory from my other radio.

Disable telemetry alarms

In the stock firmware I can select different alarm levels for A1 and A2, and disable it by selecting ---.
In Taranis I don't have that option.
No matter what alarm value I set, I get constant alarms in A2.
What can I do?
Receiver is a FrSky D4FR, which is the only one that shows this behavior.

Go for the new xjt. OpenTX supports is new PXX protocol. You get all the radio protocol features of the Taranis transmitters. I think they are released or son will... Otherwise, I never quite got they differences between the different v8fr-ii models. One has rssi I think. The diy modules are only wo...
