B5 flashed to Horus no problem. USB ... In Device Manager, it shows as HID > USB Input Device > running on port 00003. Also shows up in Windows Control Panel > Windows Devices, Bluetooth and other devices as: FrSky Horus Joystick. Also shows up in Game Controllers, but there are no inputs active and...

Re: ERSKY9x Questions

I have had the 'device not migrated' bunkum several times. In fact only on Sunday on the new laptop. One fix is to turn off windows fast boot. Has worked for me with a win 10 beta upgrade and the genuine 'bought' win 10. As it goes, win 10 has to a great degree taken me away from Linux - and that is...

You don't need a logical switch? Just use it in the mix switch field..

Ideal.

I found the PB (meaning 'Push Button?) switches - I was looking at it wrong and totally misunderstood them. They are working fine.

Re: ERSKY9x Questions

B4 flashed to Horus no problem.

Haptic is operational. Length of buzz can be adjusted, but not strength. 0 thru 5 makes no change.

PB1-4 are showing and working in switchdiag. But I am still not seeing them in the Mixes SOURCE menu.

Re: ERSKY9x Questions

B3 flashed fine to Horus. DSMx telemetry issue fixed. Zero lockups. 6-Pos switch delay is good. One has to turn it VERY VERY slowly to cause drop to 6P0. It would not happen in normal use. Have not got any music files on as of yet. I am not able to figure out where the inner trims - T5 & T6 as label...

Re: ERSKY9x Questions

Agreed in principle. But not what I was getting at really. IF the internal module was selected, and then someone by (mis?)adventure set telemetry to DSMx, then the radio locked up. And it is easily done - particularly when using the rotary wheel. It scrolls FAST! LOL! I am pretty certain Mike has fi...

Re: ERSKY9x Questions

Pots are ordered from Banggood. Generally a week to ten days with them now.

And my apologies about module selection. It is as you say.

Am in the process of checking what happens if one powers the radio on whilst it is being charged. So far cannot see any difference in current draw from the charger.

Re: ERSKY9x Questions

Outstanding Mike. I am wondering if there is any truth in the 'assumed' not using the Horus whilst charging it? I never did see a definitive answer to that question. But if not, it really is a PITA the battery life, and mine is the same 7.2V 2000mAh pack. I will have to get a spare one. Not sure whe...

Re: RE: Re: ERSKY9x Questions

I looked into it further this morning. It happens when I go to MODEL SETUP > TELEMETRY > select type, but, ONLY if the internal module is active. Switch to the External module and it is fine. I obviously can't test that radio, but when you change to the external radio are you also changing the COM ...

Re: ERSKY9x Questions

Radio turned off. Can replicate issue - as soon as I scroll to DSMx the radio instantly locks up.

Have also checked telemetry with the D16(X)/X8R and see RX and SWR readings of 97 and 9 respectively.

Re: ERSKY9x Questions

I am indeed seeing telemetry! RSSI(?) with D8 RX reading 90. Will try later with the X8R. Have checked the diagana for the sliders and pots. Indeed none of them begin to change the values near their end travels. In fact, if I VERY carefully rotate the pots, I can feel a very fine 'step' at which poi...

Re: ERSKY9x Questions

Will get the B1 on shortly.

That 6-pos switch issue I suspect will be a PITA. For most operations I don't think a small realtime delay would be critical, unless someone uses a position for a get out of the poop function or suchlike. Even when they should really be using a rapid to get to switch.

Re: ERSKY9x Questions

A9 flashed to Horus fine. iXJT is not working in X or D modes. Will not bind. Display change noticed. Looks fine. As for the bar for the 6-pos. Personally I would like it to be the raw value, rather than equi-spaced indications. However, nice equal steps would appeal to others and would give a 'tidy...

Re: ERSKY9x Questions

Horus uses a NiMh, so I suppose it might just do it! Just the one cup. :D :P Mind you, that happens anyway - the one VERY poor design 'feature' of it. No changing TX battery at the field, not fitting a LiPo as there is some fangled circuitry to do with charging. Horus would not be able to complete a...

Re: ERSKY9x Questions

Toast making is already available, just short the Tx battery  Mike. Hhahaha! Somewhat akin to what I did to the girl's Haynes Internal Combustion Engine model we built over the last week. Re: ERSKY9x Questions

A8 flashed to Horus fine. Mike, I can confirm that the external XJT module works perfectly. Binding can be done vIa the button on the back of the module, or via the Protocol menu in Horus. Tested with various respective receivers in D8, D16(X) in both EU LBT and FCC flavours. No issues with any of t...

Re: ERSKY9x Questions

Mike, So far in probably 6 hours plus of bench testing with all sorts of different receiver makes and servos etc., and probably an hour of TX time at the field, there have been zero 'glitches'. Very much looking forward to future developments. Will be good to test the iXJT, as for some reason with F...

Re: Template does not setup mixes using TAER order?

Just a little note: CYC1 - Is the Ele, and it should control the rear servo CYC2 and CYC3 control the left and right servos. Re: Template does not setup mixes using TAER order?

Not sure on that. That setup works with the Orange RX module with and the Redcon RX. No matter though, as technically either can be made to work. He has 4 servos working so a modicum of juggling connections/swash/chan reversals if need be will get it going. If it were on my bench less than ten mins ...

Re: Template does not setup mixes using TAER order?

Use the standard heli template and amend as follows: (Throt) CH1 = THR + All the ID mode mixes and the R-100 throttle cut. You can then use throttle failsafe on your Redcon 7 RX. (Ail) CH2 = CYC1 (Ele) CH3 = CYC2 (Rud) CH4 = RUD (Gear) CH5 = GEAR (Aux1) CH6 = CYC3 Those are is the basic connections....

Re: Template does not setup mixes using TAER order?

Oh the 600 will be soooo easy to fly compared to tje 450. It will hover hands off long enough to have a cup of coffee in comparison! Haha! If you do damage it and run out of head repair parts, or decide to go FBL, get a DFC conversion by Align (not at all costly really probably $75?) and a mini-kbar...
