Re: Banggood 4in1 module, Flysky AFHDS2A and Telemetry

So in Multiprotocol.ino, uncomment the line #define DEBUG_SERIAL
Flash the firmware with this line changed ;)
The module will not start (led off) which is normal. In the Arduino IDE, open the "Serial monitor" (ctrl+shift+M).
On the monitor you'll see the module starting and printing it's ID.

What module type do you have? We can extract the ID. It's really easy if they are on USB.

Pascal, do you mean when I have the connection live and stable if I change the RX_Num to a different one does it still stay connected?
Forget it was to demonstrate that you were not forcing the global ID because what RX_Num is doing in the background is to change slightly the global ID.

That's what I thought - seems strange it still links up??? I'll re-bind anyway and re-test... Really? Are you sure you are forcing the global ID? That sounds really strange but worse investigating further. Can you answer this question: after changing RX_Num, does your RX still establish a connectio...

Re: Banggood 4in1 module, Flysky AFHDS2A and Telemetry

How does the link actually establish when the receiver is powered up? Is the module always sending a packet out and when the receiver is powered up it communicates with the packet that's been received and establishes the link at that point? With the latest code, you have a one way conversation only...

Re: Banggood 4in1 module, Flysky AFHDS2A and Telemetry

Then I don't know what to do else. Like I said the protocol is really at the bear minimum with just the TX sending a packet every 3850µs. I think you already did it but can you try different RX_Num numbers? (you need to rebind the RX for each different RX_Num). The goal of this test is to generate d...

Leigh,

Is the only way to see a bad link is through RSSI/TSSI?
I would like to see if you could disable the telemetry in Multi _config.h file (and therefore loose the RSSI/TSSI information) to see if it helps.

Re: Banggood 4in1 module, Flysky AFHDS2A and Telemetry

Hi Mike, Don't get me wrong... I'm not saying that er9x must support AFHDS2A full telemetry frames. I'm only saying that I would like to keep both "options" so if someone has a radio which doesn't know how to decode full frames but instead a radio with a frsky decoder then they will have at least ba...

Re: Banggood 4in1 module, Flysky AFHDS2A and Telemetry

Ok so from what I understand 650 is the upper value and -800 is the lower value. Above or below it becomes choppy or disconnect. Then the middle value is (650-800)/2=-75. Try to set the value to -75, then rebind your RX and test to see If you can reproduce the issue (I'm thinking you'll be able to)....

Re: Banggood 4in1 module, Flysky AFHDS2A and Telemetry

If you always look for AFHDS2A packets if AFHDS2A is the current protocol then can you OR option with 0x80 all the time and get rid of the T-Rate option leaving only Rate? I like to keep the value option open for other radios in Multi. Like I've said I don't think er9x can decode full telemetry fram...

Re: Banggood 4in1 module, Flysky AFHDS2A and Telemetry

The protocol supports 2 telemetry types based on the option 0x80 flag. If option has 0x80 set then multi forwards the full telemetry frame. That's the T-Rate on ersky9x (which is not ovious and even hard to look for). If option does not have 0x80 set then multi forwards FrSky Hub. That's the Rate on...

Even if I set Detect Telem to select and then try FrSky, FrHub or HubRaw nnothing seems to work. I had...

Re: Banggood 4in1 module, Flysky AFHDS2A and Telemetry

Ok, I've pushed on gihub the version 1.2.0.5 which includes the the A7105 frequency tuning on channel 15. You have to uncomment this line in _Config.h to enable it: #define USE_A7105_CH15_TUNING . Just affect P1 to Channel 15 (100%) and turn it around. When the pot is centered, ouput 0.0 on ersky9x ...

Re: Banggood 4in1 module, Flysky AFHDS2A and Telemetry

I'm still working on it... It's coming... I'm trying to do it right the first time... By the way FrSky V/D/X are using the CC2500 RF component and not the A7105 like the AFHDS2A protocol. So the test only validates that the module general operation works along with the CC2500 but does not show anyth...

Re: Banggood 4in1 module, Flysky AFHDS2A and Telemetry

You could also try to tune the A7105 frequency for your module and see if it helps. (AFHDS2A is using the A7105 RF component) In the latest multi code and in _config.h, locate the line #define A7105_FREQ_OFFSET 0 Change the offset value and see if it's better, sadly you need to reprogram the module ...

Re: Banggood 4in1 module, Flysky AFHDS2A and Telemetry

Hey, looking into the issue. First the problem with the afhds2a receivers is that they run different firmwares which makes it really difficult. (You can update the RX firmware from the orginal TX). The weird thing I see reported is that it does work/not work by just turning on/off the RX a couple of...

Re: Orange Module running MULTI protocol

If the range is low, it can be that the PA/LNA pins are reversed on the orange module you have.
To swap the pins, open the file "MultiOrange.cpp.orangetx" or "MultiOrange.cpp" and uncomment (remove the "//") from this line which is at the begining of the file:

Code: Select all
