Re: ERSKY9X Coding
Tried the update. It looked like it worked. Since I had already downloaded r167 I skipped that step. Maybe fatally! When it finished writing Tinpapp the tx screen was blank except backlight was on. Removing usb and turning on tx screen blank and backlight on. Any suggestions? Reset the board, and r...

Re: ERSKY9X Coding
Mike, it seems - that tinyapp can only be updated only when the RTC battery is disconnected. At least - otherwise i was getting "USB" on the display, and nothing more(wouldn't boot). Had to reset the board, and reflash everything. Though had little-to none of the testing in order to reprod...

Re: Sam_ba connection error USB
Mike - maybe it is advisable for nytram to use something like this? http://modelsimulator.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=4515 (an osciloscope from an audio), that way we can at least be sure that PPM out is correct, and the problem lays withing the flysky radio module. nytram - have you checked t...

Mike - am i correct, that for beta board programming, one has to use 3S2 libraries instead of 3s4?

You never used it, then how do you know it doesn't work as it should? ;) Bertrand. Re: Help with Sam-Ba, C9X, and RTC.
ShowMaster. I have experienced the same problems just a while ago. It is just a matter of how, and in what order you do. I've tried to cover the basics in the wiki, but it seems, that i need to explain it more thoroughly. A. First things first. Prepare SAM-BA. 1) UNINSTALL SAM-BA. Delete ALL the dir...

Re: Best PPM Setting for FrSky
I'm pretty sure - i've read somewhere, either in the manual, or withing the rcg forum thread related to frsky, that FrSky ppm frame length is recommended 18ms for the standard speed, and 9ms for high speed. I myself use 18ms, and no problems.

Made a clay proto case, seems nice. Will give it a thought over a week or so, if everything goes well - will start modelling the in CAD.
One thing i really worry - is the weight distribution, and have absolutely no clue on how to calculate one on such a complex form...

I have now seen the correct docs. Probably worth pulling the correct information to the wiki. The guide that Is there only helps if the boot loader is missing. Re: ERSKY9X Coding
Mike, always wanted to ask - why do we need a separate line in the menu: "BT telemetry" in model setup screens? I think it may-be logical to put all the BT settings in the main setup(no model related), say page 11 in main setup. Is there a single place for feature requests? As i believe(th...

Peter, as i've written above - i've successfully replicated the results, but on lower voltage it appeared only once randomly, and never again, and i did heat up the troublesome part for ~80C, on higher voltages it appeared consistently. I would suggest removing the R49 resistor, that way you can sec...

Whilst using anything other than 3S LiPol/LiIon it is extremely unlikely to encounter such a condition.
So, using 2s lipoly, 3s life, nimh, alkaline, is absolutely fine.

Clive: Is your RTC still locking up after a while? If it does can you test to see if you can change the volume of the audio? It is also on the I2C bus, and this test will tell me if the bus is locked. I'll think on USB possibilities. If USB is powered when the ARM processor starts, then I reckon th...

Re: Co-Processor Inputs
Steve - i have a diy headtracker connected to the PPM input, so there is no need to have a separate PPM input dedicated for headtracking. Wilst you can do PPM injection - separate input is not needed.
