Re: Flash failed. 9x possibly bricked. Please help.

Lol. Got it. I think it also means F*ING check your avrdude version. If I remember correctly the last time I had to upgrade avrdude because the version I installed from my Linux distribution was too old. This time it was to new. I had to downgrade from 6.0.2.1 to 5.11. Lol Sent from my SM-G900V usin...

Re: Flash failed. 9x possibly bricked. Please help.

I did use eepe. I added the -F to additional parameters because of past experience with avrdude. I used it to my MinimOSD and that required the -F

The avrdude output I was posting came from the "Review Ouput" lotion in the Burn menu.

Re: Flash failed. 9x possibly bricked. Please help.

Success!!! I switched to Companion9X and had it download the firmware. I then manually erased the flash memory using avrdude on the command line. Then I flashed er9x with Companion9X and it worked. Everything looks good. Now I just need to make sure it talks with the receiver and make sure the chann...

Re: Flash failed. 9x possibly bricked. Please help.

Well, I will say that the TX was working just fine after I installed the smartie parts programmer and before I flashed it.

Here's the photo of the ribbon cable.

And here's a video of what it does when you turn on the TX:

Re: Flash failed. 9x possibly bricked. Please help.

On a whim I tried flashing using ZFLASHER AVR on my phone. I flashed the er9x.hex to flash. The attached photo shows the display now.

Re: Flash failed. 9x possibly bricked. Please help.

Yes I'm using eepe. The write memory option is greyed out. I used the "Write EEPROM" option from the Burn menu.

I'll doo it again and grab some screen shots.

Just put the module back in. It's not even powering up so there's no way it'll even talk to the receiver.

Re: Flash failed. 9x possibly bricked. Please help.

ok Tried it again without the -F. same result. Unfortunately I can't control a servo without reconnecting the original module. (btw does the module have to be installed to flash?). I'm using an OrangeRX module with a CCPM only lemonrx receiver. I'll try bringing up cleanflight and seeing if it can s...

Ok. I'll give it a try. I'm on my work laptop and I can't install drivers so I'll have to boot it back into linux. It'll take a few minutes.

And yes, I'll behave :-D

Sorry for the slow response. It looks like my posts arebeing moderated.I assume it's because I'm a new user. I downloaded it directly. Eepe did download something but I have no idea where it put the file. Not sure of the version but I got the hex file from this link: http://er9x.googlecode.com/svn/t...

Flash failed. 9x possibly bricked. Please help.

Hello, This is my first time flashing the 9x. I have the V2 (according to HK) and the Smartieparts V2.4 board. I'm flashing using eePe on Linux and can communicate with the 9x. I have read the existing firmware and saved it. I then tried to flash the 9x and it gets all the way through the verificati...
