Re: Introducing: TelemetrEZ
Well, I like both your suggestions. So time for a vote: "bridgification device thingy" or "Telebridge"or "SmartieBridge"? (I capitalized the S&B to be more inline with my branding) I really like "bridgification device thingy" and I'll be ordering one and ...

Re: DJT no longer fits the TH9
Alright, everybody stop with the power tools already All you need to do is trim that whole raised bit away with a sharp hobby knife, the plastic is really quite soft and cuts easily.

Re: Help with multiwii quadcopter
There is definitely something wrong there. I am using multiwii 2.1 as well and I can assure you that throttle expo does not go above 1.0, think about what a 250% expo curve would look like. I am suspicious of the android app you are using to read and configure the FC and again I suggest connecting t...

Re: Help with multiwii quadcopter
I just opened up my Android app, which record my last setting, the thro expo is at 2.5. Don't ask why, cause I am trying to figure this whole thing up. ;) I don't even know the RC rate goes up to 2.5. Currently it is set at 0.5 (cause I thought the highest is 1.0) ;) so far, I have to say mutltiwii...

Re: Help with multiwii quadcopter
May be that is why, both tx and multiwii expo were one. I thought the thro expo should go 1.0 as highest too. but when I was struggling with the throttle, I actually was able to increase it up to 2.5 and 'write' it and 'read' from the eeprom back as 2.5. I am not sure why either. Once i get the rep...

Re: Help with multiwii quadcopter
thx for replying GTiDon. I finally got my quad be able to hover in the garage. and figured out a way to use throttle cut to arm the quad (check the ARM box in AUX3 which I programmed my throttle cut). but i am really having a hard time to get the throttle tamed. It is so darn sensitive, one hair of...

Re: New TX Antenna 9x V2
The 5dbm antenna has gain but at a loss. Think of a round balloon with a hole in it top and bottom sort of like a donut. The radiation pattern of the normal antenna is sort of like that with the hole(tip area) no, or much less rf out. To get more gain think of the balloon bring squeezed to no longe...

Hmmm, now the HK website is down for 'maintenance'. I wonder what will remain of the discussion for this product when it comes back up. Does that sound paranoid?

Re: 3 way switches? (I need two of them for hexacopter) Opti
In my opinion it's an apples to apples thing, just a question of flavor The beauty of adding a programmer (I highly recommend the Smartieparts board) is that you can try out any of the available firmwares and switch back and forth in minutes.

No offence taken. :-) As I said originally. This took me all of 10 minutes to get working myself. I guess when I get to the point where I can program something like this in 10 minutes I'll start seeing ways to improve things too ;) For now I'm just amazed at what I can do already  but it tak...

Re: Differential Dynamic Reduction
Again, am I totally missing the point? No, it's perfectly fine. I think Rob is concerned this might be "too complicated" for the average user to figure out. That was kind of my point, I'm a new user to Open9x (about a month). I flashed the latest version with GVARS to my radio, read what ...

Re: Differential Dynamic Reduction
Hmm, being a total noob to this stuff maybe I'm missing something but why not use a curve to set the range on your virtual channel. I've been playing with something similar to get variable expo on one model. Custom Function Adjust GVAR1 CH8 CH8 100% P1 Curve (c1) where c1 is 3point 0, 50, 100 So, us...

Hi guys, Long time lurker first time poster here. So, I recently got a Turnigy9x (no module), FrSky DJT, SmartieParts board, backlight and LiFe battery :D I Put it all together and started trying out firmwares and finally settled on Open9x. After getting my Quad and a couple of foamies programed in ...
