Center of gravity is pretty much automatically right if you use a standard battery in the standard location. It should climb at full throttle, but not too steeply. Everything appeared to be setup properly but on my maiden after taking off the plane (Sport Cub S) began climbing straight up,then took a nose dive! I have not tried the 350 QX3 settings yet.

Yes. As I said, they apply equally to Taranis (OpenTX) and 9XR/Pro (Er9x). I have a standard 9x not 9XR Pro with ER9X or I can flash to OpenTX withever is more desirable? Ok, guys thanks for the all the feedback, I think I have it worked out. It's bound and all the control surfaces are responsive. 3 position switch seems to control the modes as expected, and the momentary switch seems to work. Now I have to figure out the settings for my 350 QX3.
