Re: Bug: Turnigy 9XR Pro Stock FW and Companion9X 2.0.8
Hi Mike: <flame-off> Sorry, no slight intended what-so-ever: ersky9x and ersky9xr are both awesome pieces of software and significant effort has gone into their continued development, including support for Taranis and 9XR Pro. I also have a Turnigy 9X running OpenTx that controls all my non-heli mod...

Bug: Turnigy 9XR Pro Stock FW and Companion9X 2.0.8
Hi Guys! Not sure if the intention is to keep Companion9X (2.0.8) compatible with different Tx firmware forks, but there are several severe bugs loading models from the "stock" Turnigy 9XR Pro firmware: Servo limits are off by a factor of 10 (e.g, 125 becomes 12.5) Ele and Thr are swapped ...

Building OpenTX from Source on Windows 8.1
The OpenTX Windows Build Instructions suggest to Install gcc-arm-none-eabi, winavr, Yagarto, python, and PyQT4 packages. However, I think there may be one or more issues building OpenTX on Windows 8.1 x64 using that toolchain. One (big) reason winavr is needed is that it includes make, sh, and other...

Re: Request - USB Joystick support for 9XR Pro
It should be posible. The biggest job is the USB driver itself. We have a different processor, so while it is still an ARM processor, the USB hardware is different. I don't have time at the moment to look at this, but I may have in a couple of weeks time. Mike. Awesome! (note:still can't get the av...

Request - USB Joystick support for 9XR Pro
I haven't started hacking on the source yet (can't get the toolchain working on Win 8.1), but from what I see, the Taranis code to support USB Joystick emulation seems pretty straight forward - just a few lines of code to take the pots/switches and stuff them in a byte buffer, then send out the USB ...

Poll on which radio you use for full house sailplanes on RCG
Hope it's not impolite, but aeajr over on RCGroups has put up a poll to see which TXs/RXs are being used to guide full house sailplanes:

Full Aileron Travel w/ Flaperon's Down?
I did it by multiplying the aileron input by the flaps, then adding aileron in again. See the flaperon mixes on this post for Open9x, since it's slightly more complex than that. http://openrcforums.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=820 It works well when the surfaces are basically level. However, I think th...

How do I delete a Model from the Tx?
Stupid question: how do I delete a model from the transmitter in Open9X r936 (and earlier)?
The model setup menu does not appear to have a "delete" option, and for the life of me I can't figure out the right button combination!
Thanks!
Jay

Re: Complex Sailplane Mixes: 5-modes, 4 & 6ch, ±VTail ±Flape
Looks like there might be a bug in either my 4ch flaperon mixes when using lots of servo offset, or maybe one of my servos isn't acting quite right :? edit: this appears to be related to trim: everything works great if aileron trim is mostly center. I think trim needs to be moved from the AIL input ...

PPM Center
Could someone explain in simple terms what the PPM Center option is used for? Also, I do *not* have the PPMCA option checked in Open9x, but during editing in Companion9X I notice that in all my model files, some of the PPM Center values are not 1500... Do I need to reset these back to 1500? Will it ...

Re: Complex Sailplane Mixes: 5-modes, 4 & 6ch, ±VTail ±Flape
Put the maiden flight on my first DLG (a TopSky 1.0), and the conventional tail 4ch model (Sail-F) worked perfectly! After reversing the servos and setting offset and limits, the only other change was to switch Trim Increment to "Fine" so I could better control camber adjustment with the t...

Bug or feature? Sticks display includes offsets
The "stick position" monitor screen seems to include the offset value from the limits page. Is this a bug or feature?
Is there a way to ignore both trims (which are already shown) and offsets here?

Re: butterfly/crow mixing help
Have a question, Rob: Initially, on my Chandelle 4ch flaperon sailplane, fully extending flaps or spoilers to 45* added drag, but unless I did some magic to boost aileron, when I pulled the stick to one side, the aileron only came back to center and the airplane didn't roll (basically I had no contr...

This will be possible in the next open9x release, Bertrand said due out today - can't wait ;) Oh yah! Very nice timing ;-) Is this a per-model setting or a global setting? Per mixer actually. In each mixer you can define which trim should be used, if any. You could use the aileron trim for your gea...

Re: Complex Sailplane Mixes: 5-modes, 4 & 6ch, ±VTail ±Flape
If I understand "instant trim" correctly, it will add all the current trim settings into sub-trim and zero out trim for the current flight mode. No, with "instant trim" you're supposed to hold your sticks so that the model flies straight, hit the instant trim function, and the c...

Re: er9x development
Rob: It does provide that functionality. Partly I wanted to avoid the need for the resistor mod when wanting to run a simulator, but PPMSIM does indeed allow a PPM stream to the trainer port that does NOT go to the module pins whene the Tx module is plugged in. So you choose, 8 PPM channels to the ...

UPDATE v0.3:
- Moved 'Catch' flight mode to separate experimental file & removed from stock file, freeing up a flight mode, switch, and pot.
- Reduced V-Tail mixing from 100% ELE & RUD to 75% ELE & RUD.
- Moved Snap Flap mix source from ELE to CH11 and increased to 20%.
