Having too much time on my hands I just had to change the funny looking 'g' in the 5x7 font.

Re: Minor flaw in firmware download selection
Thanks Romolo,
So the work around if you want to download two different firmwares without dismissing the dialog box (hitting Ok) then just select the "Ask for flashing..." checkbox.
Works for me.

In Preferences->firmware selection the download file name does not change with the selected firmware unless the "Ask for flashing after download" is checked.

One more problem seems to be left.
Exiting eepe after having made changes causes eepe to pause 4 or 5 seconds. The following is displayed just before the exit:

Current (r358) eepe download and local source built app exhibit the same crash if you use 10 character model names. Use 9 and you are ok. Latest Ubuntu Qt4.8.1 Any help appreciated. *** buffer overflow detected ***: eepe terminated ======= Backtrace: ========= /lib/i386-linux-gnu/libc.so.6(__fortify...

Sorry, its the stock board.Kilrah wrote:Which board? Seems OK on stock.
Works with r1442 but seems to be broken with r1443.
File general_menus.cpp received an edit in that area but since its my first time looking at that code it's going to take a while to figure it out.

Open9x - How to set the mode?
Being dumb here but I can't seem to set the tx mode. I'm missing the last line on the "RADIO SETUP" screen which allows you to enter the desired mode.
Using Companion9X works but not if you use the front panel (LCD) simulator.
Using r1452 with stock Turnigy9x.
Thanks

I've built myself a bright and shiny new toolchain based on avr-gcc 4.7.2 and binutils 2.22 for some projects and I got back to looking at er9x. Turns out the arguments to the new avr-size have changed causing a little snafu at the end of the makefile. Is everyone using an older avr-size version? If...

Re: Building companion9x
Yep, looks broken.
I'll tell you what - I've been wanting to change over from macports to homebrew (uses qt 4.8 and other niceties) so why don't I just maintain my own build process and you can do what you want with the wiki MacBuild and CMakeList.txt. I'll just maintain my own.

Re: Building companion9x
Yes, the -Rf switch will work. The reason I went with rsync is that the .svn directory really has no place in the app bundle. Perhaps deleting it after the copy would clean things up and allow both build methodologies to work. Edit: After some thought I still think rsync is the correct tool to use h...

Looks like some shell script error. Do the "companion.app/Contents/Resources" directories exist when this shell script is run? The line you posted creates a error in Xcode, i'll post it now. mkdir -p companion9x.app/Contents/translations cp -r /Users/grootwitbaas/companion9x/trunk/mac/*.qm...

Re: Building companion9x
Nope, your rsync command line copies the "contents" of qt_menu.nib to the Resource directory not the qt_menu.nib folder. The app crashes if you do that. The original line I posted works as expected.

Re: Building companion9x
Sure. Minor problem with CMakeList.txt; the target "addframeworks" fails if make is run more than once because the qt_menu.nib/.svn directory is copied into the Resource directory. Complicated by the "clean" target not removing companion.app. replace: COMMAND cp -R ${PROJECT_SOUR...

Re: Building companion9x
I have a script that is run as a cron job that follows the Wiki MacBuild. It updates macports, companion9x source, runs cmake, and builds the companion9x app. This doesn't involve qt4.8.0 or Xcode. Hopefully CMakeLists.txt won't change to preclude this from working.

Re: Building companion9x
All the changes to the Wiki MacBuild have been submitted. The new CMakeLists.txt will produce a self contained companion9x app. This all assumes you have followed the MacBuild steps in the Wiki. If you want dmg image then run macdeployqt comanion9x.app -dmg and a dmg image will be produced. It won't...

Re: Building companion9x
On the missing qt_menu.nib issue: If we follow the Wiki and use macports to install qt4-mac it will be installed without frameworks. Later on in the build process we run macdeployqt to put the qt4 libs in the application bundle. Macdeployqt will not copy qt_menu.nib in this case (no framework) and i...

Re: Building companion9x
Just listing things as I find them: In CMakeLists.txt line 293 mkdir fails because WORK_DIR is set equal to CMAKE_RUNTIME_OUTPUT_DIRECTORY which is null for some reason. Mkdir attempts to create a directory in /companion.app which, of course, always fails. Being new to CMake I need to go read the do...
