Re: Aloft Taranis Support is Awful!

Fred, did you even buy the Taranis from Aloft? I don't see an invoice for you buying one from us. Please keep in mind that we are not the manufacturer of FrSky radios.

Re: Aloft Taranis Support is Awful!

This guy is a real treat. His main complaint is that the display on his older Taranis radio (not a plus) had some lines in the screen. Keep in mind we offer a 1 year warranty on everything we sell. Heck, I have not even looked to see if he bought the radio from us or not. We failed to answer his ema...

Re: Unknown Device

Further fallow up on this matter. I had a customer that did the same thing. His radio was working fine, he then updated the firmware with companion and the radio was bricked. I suggested checking the computer for any nasty software's etc. He reported the computer was clean. Eventually I had him send...

Re: Unknown Device

OK - I got Paul's radio back and plugged it into my computer, ran zadig, then burned new firmware onto it. The radio now works perfectly. So this particular issue was just a bad firmware being installed. I failed to copy the bad firmware off first, I did not think to do that until reading a post abo...

Re: Unknown Device

Hayvosh - Have you tried a different computer to burn the firmware? I suspect this may be a computer issue, not the Taranis. The other day a customer picked up his new Taranis and wanted to use Companion with it. Well, after many hours of messing around on 4 different computers he could not get Comp...

Re: Supply Voltage reported by XR8 Receiver

Depending on what your voltage sensor is (you can make your own FBVS for example) you will want to adjust the offset on your telemetry screen (page 12 of 13 in the model setups) to reflect the correct voltage. This offset setting allows for voltage calibration. It is also a good idea to set your ran...

Re: New openTX features

That is interesting idea. Charge for companion. It is an excellent tool, and when I show it to people, it is a huge selling point. I would not think you would have issues selling companion at all. People are used to buying software like this. Hmm, very interesting! I like this concept a lot! -Wayne

Re: New openTX features

Since we are discussing FrSky specifically, why not put the Taranis bandwidth onto their servers, and let them foot the bill directly? Just a heads up, we have sold Taranis radios to people that do not have internet access. Yes, they do still exist, actually a fair amount of them in our hobby here i...

Re: FrSky officially X9D announcement

FrSky just confirmed that they will not be getting radios in the first batch, so you have been warned. Only Premiere Dealers are getting radios in any quantity.

I really like that they have stolen their pictures and text from our site. :(

Yes, our software has a little bug. Just ignore any messages about being signed off. It does that if you try to sign up multiple times, but it does not actually remove you. I hate computers sometimes. We will be overhauling the web site one of these days.. Yuk! The site is pretty lame for mobile use...

We are the head. :)

We are waiting for word from FrSky. Once we have a shipping commitment from them we will open up our pre-buy, and we will announce via our newsletter. You can sign up for our newsletter on the bottom right corner of the web site. :)

Re: FrSky officially X9D announcement

ok.. still, now the radio will be known as XD9A.. It will be confusing for many people.. So it will better match the name of this thread. LOL  We had to submit the ads prior to the newer photos being available. It should be updated for the next issue. We have been running the ad since April to...

Re: FrSky officially X9D announcement

T9 are expected stock round mid may. T9 and Aloft should be getting them at the same time. Right now, any date is just a guess as FrSky has not committed to a shipping date yet. At the Toledo show it was expected they would be available in the USA right about now. I'd guess we are still 3 weeks out...

Re: Skin Solution for EZ model Setup

I like the basic idea. Perhaps use the current wizard as is to quickly assign the channels, then have a second step where you can add dual rates and expo. On this screen we would show the radio instead of the aircraft, thus we can color the switch we have applied to control that dual rate/expo combi...

Yes, I think you will see service centers around the world. We know how annoying it is to go without your radio for a week or two while waiting for repairs, so why not offer the parts to the users? Premier dealers will do just that, all of the spare parts will be available so you can make your own r...

Thomas, thank you for calling this to my attention. I'm the owner of Aloft Hobbies, and love the work you all are doing! We were given one beta sample FAS-100 prior to official release. With FrSky permission it was sent off to Germany to a developer there that was working on a speech system add-on, ...
