Skynorth,
I was unaware of the 9R9 connection. Sorry if I seemed inconsiderate, just ignorant.

Re: XJT module and 9x
config.jpg MikeB You might be interested in the above. The default is AVRDude, but it seems to want SAM-BA. If you use as above, a message appears that says SAM-BA ran successfully, but actually, nothing happens. This may not be worth your time in fixing, as how many of us are there that will be us...

Re: XJT module and 9x
OK, after much gnashing of teeth I was able to communicate with the radio. I had t relearn Sam-ba configuration. Now, my question. Is the Optrex display not supported? I "checked" the Optrex option, but it does not seem to work nor is the selection saved upon subsequent openings of the con...

Re: XJT module and 9x
Colin,no problem. I will bet there are lurkers on this thread who have also learned a lot, but were afraid to ask.
Also, maybe we should not admit to being old farts, the youngsters here may rebel against us.
You may remember, "never trust anyone over 30".

Re: XJT module and 9x
KAOS, THANK YOU, THANK YOU I obviously did not see this, nor would have ever thought to look for this. During the install there is no reference to eepskye. The above is explanation, not a complaint. You guys are terrific. Now, I need to find that "thank" button on the forum. I seem to have...

Re: XJT module and 9x
Colin, thank you for your response. However, I am now more confused. Per Mike's previous post, Oct 1, I did download Revision 804. That is where I see no reference to sky9x in EEPE Preferences or processor selection for, I assume, M3 for the Sky9x board. I do not see anything refering to ersky9x r18...

Re: XJT module and 9x
I apologize for my silly questions, but I need to confirm my conclusion that I cannot use your code. I have two radios, one with a Gruvin9x board and the other a sky9x board. The Gruvin9x uses an Atmega 2560 and the sky9x uses the ARM Cortex 32 bit M3. Neither of these seem to be supported. If that ...

Re: XJT module and 9x
Thank you. I have been equating EEPE and Companion9x as the same, Companion9x being an "upgrade".
Now all the pieces are falling together for me.
Please forgive me, no insult meant.

Re: XJT module and 9x
Hmmmm, I thought I had done that. Then, in preferences, I selected "openTx for Sky9x board/9x". Next, I open a new model and go to setup, then RF Module 1. I then see the following in protocol; PPM LP45 DSM2 DSMX FrSky DJT I was under the impression that included in the above would be some...

Or, does asking the question mean I am not worthy?

Re: XJT module and 9x
Thank you. I have been in the computer industry 35 years. I can, sort'a, barely, program. (I am also into Arduino stuff) For about a year I managed a couple of development efforts. We were always pressured into meeting ridiculous time limits. Testing was "deferred". What a big mistake. So,...

Re: XJT module and 9x
So, who do I have beg, or bribe, to get this? I have the Sky9x. I have the XJT,which is working. However, please forgive my ignorance, but for us "programing challenged" folks, I suppose I also need a modified Companion9x. While my system works, I want to squeeze the last bit of functional...

OpenTX for Sky9x
I just received my XJT Transmitter module and X8R receiver. I installed the module into my sky9x equipped 9X. It works just great in PPM mode. However, to really get the most out of the system I believe requires FRYSKY XJT protocol. I expect not many need or want this capability, but I was curious i...

Well, Romolo just blew away the need for a spreadsheet.
That is not a complaint, just the facts. And, his is better and in Companion9x.
A sincere thank you.

OK, I know I am getting old, the memory is gone, however, I do not think I am totally out of it. I could swear that last week, I updated Companion9x and the Taranis simulator was there. I just updated again, to version 1.33 and the Taranis simulation was gone. This is the Windows version. Hmm, I als...

Thank you for the reminder. I had read the er9x manual, several months ago, and a couple of computer crashes ago. I could not remember where I had seen that information, now I have it again. Now to digest it. Again, thank you for the reminder.

I have searched everywhere, or at least a lot, for documentation or an explanation on custom switches. I have seen examples, but how they work is still a mystery. example; v<ofs OK, what is ofs? Re: Swash Ring, collective pitch, cyclic pitch
I read thru this post quickly, so may have missed this, but here goes. Are you aware of the origins of the term "swash ring"? When radios lacked the programming functions of today's radios, there were available physical rings. The ring was attached to the radio at the base of whichever sti...
