What is the current version?
I am still using r221 rev B from 2018. Any significant upgrades since then?
I use mainly FRSky receivers but they seem to be disappearing. Do you know anything about that?
Cheers and thanks,
Stephen

Re: eepskye 422 Linux version
I have been distracted for the past three years.
Could I please be updated on the general status of the 9XR Pro and asociated software/firmware.
Cheers and thanks,

Re: Retract servo programming
I've experimented some more but it seems that the servo can only do the full traverse.
I've ordered a new (standard) servo.
Thanks,
Stephen

Retract servo programming
I have a retract servo that I am trying to set up to swing the canard on a Beech Starship. As a retract servo, the arm rotates 180 degrees but as a wing swinger, I want only 90 degrees. Is it possible to configure this in ErSky9x? (I have tried many combinations of full/half, limits etc without succ...

Re: Throttle Stick loosing its calibration?
This issue (with the mode 1 rudder stick) has just been pointed out to me today by another 9XRPro user at our field. I reckon it must be a hardware problem as the other user and I are using quite different versions of ERSky9x. Could you please confirm that the proper fix is to open the Tx and check ...

The QBot adapter only has 3.7V.
Still no joy with the Futaba cable with r221 etc so I will give up on that and just stick with JR.
Thanks for the inputs,
Stephen

Re: Turnigy QBot radio adapter
OK. I'm on r220 but will update to r221 ASAP and then try the Futaba cable again. Given the comment regarding the Tx wiring it may still not work. That's not a big deal as the JR set up works. On a side issue, when using the JR cable, the rudder channel is not centred on the main page display even t...

Re: Turnigy QBot radio adapter
Using the JR-style trainer cable, all is now AOK but I cannot get the Futaba cable to work. As I understand it, the only big difference between the cables is that Futaba includes power and that is why it has so many pins. Plugging in the Futaba cable does not turn the Tx on so I have been trying Mik...

Re: Turnigy QBot radio adapter
Sorry for not replying earlier but I had to go interstate for a few days. The solution seems to be along the lines suggested but the trainer setting seems redundant. I set the module to JR mode, turned on the module power and plugged it in using the JR cable with the Tx off. This turns on the Tx and...

Turnigy QBot radio adapter
I guess that this is a bit off topic but I'm losing hair rapidly. I have just received a Turnigy QBot quad-copter with a Turnigy QBot radio adapter and am trying to get them to work with my 9XR Pro. with FrSky module. I have tried both the provided Futaba and JR connector cables and both Rx first an...

Re: Throttle stick reversed on one Tx
Thanks Mike.
I've never used the hardware menu before but found that the throttle was reversed there.
Is it possible that this could have been done by a previous firmware update? I have seen strange unexpected changes when updating before.
(Now on r220.)
Cheers,
Stephen

Throttle stick reversed on one Tx
I have two 9XR Pro transmitters that are to all intents identical. However, on one of them, the throttle stick direction is reversed. That is, zero throttle is at the top and full throttle at the bottom. I have checked and rechecked that none of the throttle configuration settings is set to reverse:...

Did a google on the PNG warning and found that:
for q in *.png; do convert $q -strip $q
in the images directory fixes whichever PNG was "bad".

Re: Where to get the source for r422?
Some progress:-)) The error above is apparently due to some differences in the various C++ libraries about the place. The ambiguity can be resolved by changing the references to abs() in node.cpp to std::abs(). The next minor issue is that the zip from github includes a 32-bit version of file.o in t...

Re: Where to get the source for r422?
This is a bit weird! I installed Qt5 and got 5.7.1. With this, builds of both eepe and eepskye fail with the same error: overloaded 'abs(qreal)' is ambiguous in common/node.cpp:95:27 followed by a bunch of references to included files that have that function. I don't understand how 5.7.1 vs 5.0.2 or...

Re: Where to get the source for r422?
I have finally worked out that the download from er9x is just a 32-bit binary and the source comes from github. If I install the current 32-bit Qt libraries, the 32-bit binary (r421) from er9x works well on my 64-bit F25 box. If I build a 64-bit version of eepe 422, it also works well. However, a 64...

Re: Where to get the source for r422?
The extra PNG images are indeed in the zip. Thank you.
As you may recall, I have successfully built earlier versions of both eepe and eepskye so I shall persevere with 422 and let you know how I go.
Cheers,
Stephen

I'm using Qt 4.8.7 on one box and 4.8.6 on another.
That's a big step!!
Did you add the extra PNG's to the zip download? I don't remember my github login.

Where to get the source for r422?
I am trying to build r422 on my Fedora system but am having trouble working out which source code to use. I have found one download at github and one at er9x.com but neither wants to build. The github version fails with warnings against lines 457 and 517 of the Makefile (recipe for qrc_eepskye.cpp) ...

Re: Cannot set date and time
My apologies. I did have the wrong firmware flashed. The Version page now says: V.1760-Mike 4/12/2016 10:18:39 ersky9xr-r220 REVB-X and the date is correct. The firmware confusion comes partly from the fact that eepskye (at least under Fedora Linux) defaults to .hex as the extension for the download...

Re: Cannot set date and time
I double checked the battery direction and it is correct. When I downloaded the current firmware with eepskye, it was called ersky9xr_rom.hex; presumably to avoid hassles with .bin files. I renamed it to ersky9xr_rom.bin and flashed it. The Tx Version page now reads as above (and everything else wor...

Cannot set date and time
My 9XR Pro has ersky9x-r220 V1766-Mike 4/12/2017 10:24:43 REVB.
If I navigate to the Radio Setup/Date-Time page and set the current date and time values, pressing MENU LONG does nothing and the date stays at midnight on 1/1/2000.

Re: How to enable voice function after firmware R220 upgraded
Before starting to edit the 40 models to the new format, I decided to try this approach. Leaving the original switch and voice definitions, I copied the old number files to the new user directory but that didn't work so I tried to the top level voice directory but that didn't work either. Where are ...

Re: How to enable voice function after firmware R220 upgraded
This thread has become a little twisted but I assume that your reply re using the voicehaptic menu was directed to me. I have done this and it does work. However, I have some 40 models that now need converting from the old number and switch system to voice alarms and names. Is there any way I can do...
