Re: ERSKYTx (was ersky9x) Questions
It’s been some time since I’ve been on here and I hope I’m posting in right place. Currently I’m version 221 ersky9x on extreme board. Does version 223 erskytx now support 900mhz modules by certain manufacturers. I see 221 version had crossfire protocol. Is there a recommended module for the jr mod...

Re: Earphone 3.5mm socket on Tx
Is that the stock 9x board with the stock beeper, or do you have a voice module installed? João Joao I've got the 9xtreme board installed. Just piggybacking the mono socket from the speaker connections from the 9xtreme. When earphones plugged on speaker is out of circuit by virtue of the 3.5mm sock...

Earphone 3.5mm socket on Tx
Hi any advice on fitting an 3.5mm mono audio socket to bypass the speaker. I've fitted a maplin one which is nice cause it locks out the speaker by disconnection. What I am finding is that the earphones are heating up. Now I have paired up a pair of cheap stereo earphones as mono and just wondering ...

Re: Receive 9xtreme and Installation
I let us down today! The honey do list was huge! I just finished up outside. That'll teach me to out things off for RC! She's actually very supportive but they were heavy backyard projects. Tomorrow is all mine! I'll try again Sunday. Drinking wine now and I'm afraid I'll cross the streams or blow ...

Re: 9Xtreme speaker hiss
I have modded two 9xs now and do get a very light hum from my speakers but nothing that I would call annoying.Speakers do like good connections however.

Re: DJT module connect 9xtreme with no case holes
Ah I could probably have left well alone then Joao as I'd already done the track cutting exercise previously. I don't have enough electronic knowledge to know about the resistor setup although I removed the one resistor I had soldered into the DJT previous. In any case as you say it's just another o...

This is a continuation of connecting DJT module to 9xtreme board without drilling hole in back of 9x.

DJT module connect 9xtreme with no case holes
This is a simple enough mod that involves the use of the redundant spring clip backboard connector (reduce reuse and recycle :) ) being used internally in the 9x to touch against two PCB pads cyanoed to the sides of the DJT module. Works really well and I didn't want to start drilling holes in the b...

Re: Welcome!
Yes but you need to have the vario/altimeter, and a frsky telemetry receiver of course, as well as to configure the radio.. What type USB lead do I need to connect to the 9xtreme for programming? I'm not sure as I still don't have mine :( João Have the high precision vario and using d8r2 plus Rx. I...

Re: Voice Packs for Ersky9x
Dear God in heaven above who's idea was it to put a massive police siren in for 10min inactivity alarm. Sitting beside wifey on sofa and left Tx on for a tad too long and well the rest as you would say is history, but I know I'll be ok in about a weeks time, head still hurts though :( Think I'm goin...

I wasn't expecting mine so soon. I assume dispatched 12th and arrived 15th to Northern Ireland. Deliveries appear to be a bit of a lottery.

No probs Mike just glad I got it sorted. Unfortunately in the very first place I removed a perfectly good trim switch just assuming it had gone bad.

Re: 9Xtreme Upgrade Board for 9x Radios
Really strange left trim won't go left but will travel right. Have checked for shorts but can't find anything. Checked little switch for operation and fine. Are pins 7,8 and 9 on jumper 5 reading from left to right as you look at the 9xtreme board? I think a wire has possibly gone open circuit on th...

Left stick rudder trim has locked up to far right. Have replaced switch and all appears ok but still no movement. All other trims fine. Any suggestions?

Re: Receive 9xtreme and Installation
Received two boards very promptly and have one installed. Very impressed indeed. Did have one back light with faulty black wire connection and was only being held by the silicone. Easy enough to solder but does require a fine iron. Was a little concerned about the pogo pins as some looked slightly o...

Re: Frsky telemetry mod with 232 converter
Just a quick update Joao. Checked the vero board connections on the 232 board and sure enough found a sliver of track that was bridging 2 pins (must have happened when using dremel to break track) so cleared track and hey presto all good. Thanks for your help.

Re: Frsky telemetry mod with 232 converter
Thanks Joao for that I figured it must be a short or something perhaps in the 232 circuit, will make more checks. Is it definately a 470 ohm resistor on the 232 circuit or is it 47 ohm

Frsky telemetry mod with 232 converter
Mike I've done the mods to the 9x ie cable connector for flashing, removal of 2 existing resistors and addition of 220ohm resistors from atmega pins. Flashed the 9x successfully. Built the max232 converter, cut traces on back board of 9x as instructed, and added resistor and link to djt module. So w...
