Hi, I am replying to my own question. I discovered that I had the CrossTrim setting set to ON in the Txs SETTINGS / Controls menu. Turning that OFF solved the problem The flexibility of er9x is amazing but can be full of traps for new players like myself.
Regards,
Trevor

Hi Daedalus66 Again, thank you for your detailed response. I apologise for not getting back to you sooner but I am still trying to get my head around this stuff and I'm not finding it easy. Trims not working as expected
Hi, I am using er9x, SVN: er9x-r813, VERS: V1.275-Mike and recently noticed that the trims on my Tx are not working as expected. My Tx is Mode 1 and the er9x mix settings are CH1: +100%RUD, Ch2: +100%ELE, CH3: +100%THR, CH4: +100%AIL This all works perfectly with my Rx which has Ch1: connected to Ai...

Re: Setting up dual rates for ailerons
Hi, Thanks very much for your comprehensive answer. I have done some experimenting based upon what you have written and think I understand what you are saying. My Tx is a Mode 1 (Right stick Throttle and Aileron, Left stick Elevator and Rudder) and I am happy with this arrangement. When in the eePe ...

Re: Setting up dual rates for ailerons
Hi Mike, Thanks for that, I now understand how to use the simulator but alas the dual rates I have set up do not work in the simulator so the plot thickens I have another question though...I am using an Rx which comes with the Turnigy Tx and by default, this Rx expects Ailerons on its Channel 1, Ele...

Re: Setting up dual rates for ailerons
Hi Mike, Thanks for your very prompt reply. I have attempted to follow your instructions but have not had any success as yet. I have attached a dump of the relevant screen from eePe as a .jpg file so you can see clearly what settings I have made. Would you please have a look at these to see what I a...

Re: Buddying two Turnigy 9xs upgraded to Er9x firmware
Good. On the SAFETY SWITCHES, you have seen the S and A options. You also have a V option (for when you have a voice module added), and, on recent revisions of er9x, you also have an X option. The X option is also the safety switch, like S, but this is "sticky". What this means is the thr...

Re: Buddying two Turnigy 9xs upgraded to Er9x firmware
Hi Reinhard Thanks for responding to my problem. Yes, I did set the students throttle stick to the middle position before performing the Cal function on the instructors Tx. I have done this several times now and always get the same result. In order to recover from this result I have had to re-write ...

Buddying two Turnigy 9xs upgraded to Er9x firmware
Hi Forum I have been attempting to buddy up two Turnigy 9x Txs using the instructions at http://openrcforums.com/wiki/index.php/Er9x_setup_buddy_box_Instructor/Student and have been successful apart from one issue which I don't fully understand. Re: Buddying two Turnigy 9xs upgraded to Er9x firmware
On the student Tx, have you turned PPMSIM on? Doing so routes the trainer output through different circuitry so any installed module, which is not powered in student mode, doesn't load the trainer signal. Sorry, I've not had time to download your .eepe files (yet). Mike. Hi Mike :D Thanks very much...

Re: Buddying two Turnigy 9xs upgraded to Er9x firmware
:D How are you powering the slave radiio? Don't turn the power switch on. Just connect the trainer cable to it with the power switch off. The radio will turn on and will send ppm on the trainer port. The master tx needs of course to be on before you connect the trainer cable to it. João Thanks for r...

Re: .bin and .hex files using eepe er9x eeprom editor
Hi Mike, Thanks your rapid response, a further question. Are you saying that if I use the 'read firmware from Tx' option using eepe, it does not matter whether I save this as a .bin or a .hex file. Also when I first loaded er9x I forgot to use the 'read firmware from Tx' option to save the old Turni...

.bin and .hex files using eepe er9x eeprom editor
I am a newcomer to er9x and would like to know the functional difference between .hex and .bin files in use with the eepe er9x eeprom editor?
