Broken USB board - How do I upload models?
The USB board on my X12s is broken and i now can't talk to OpenTx companion. I'm waiting on the replacement board to arrive but in the meantime, I need to upload the models to the X12. I copied the models to the SD card manually but when I put this card back into the Tx, it loads an ancient version ...

Re: Run a motor for a set time
Thanks for the replies.
Basically I want to link the winch to SC:
SC(up): winch run for 24 seconds to pay out cable.
SC(mid): winch off - This will be the default position.
SC (down): winch run for 24 seconds to reel in cable.

X12s Clock resetting
Hi folks,
The clock on my X12s keeps resetting to 00:00 every time I switch the radio off.
I've replaced the C1220 internal battery but it's still resetting.
Any advice welcomed.

Re: OpenTX 2.2 Documentation for the Taranis and Horus Transmitters
Great work. Well done. I've just skimmed through this as I was printing a copy and I've already found a few things that would have saved me lots of heartache whilst I was learning to program my X9D. I've just picked up an X12s so this will be invaluable as I get to grips with setting up the new radio.

Electromagnetic wheel brakes - proportional control
Hi all,
I have a set of Electromagnetic wheel brakes on the main gear of my F4 Phantom model.
Currently, I have them operating via LS on my X9D but they are either ON or OFF.
Is there a way to make them proportional? I was thinking some sort of curve?
Thanks in advance
Craig

Limiting servo travel to one direction
Hi folks, I want to limit the travel of the canards on my model so that they will only operate in one direction (canards move down when up elevon is applied). Currently they are on a separate channel which is slaved to the elevon input but they are moving in both directions. any help would be apreci...

Re: Taranis Plus Haptic feedback not working?
I found something similar after I installed a haptic module in my X9D . You need to download the firmware with the HAPTIC function enabled. Go to the SETTINGS menu in Companion and ensure that you check the box for HAPTIC. You'll be given a prompt to say that you've not downloaded this before, accep...

Re: Taranis and flight simulators
Will do a bit later today. I only did a quick and rough setup to make sure it worked. Meanwhile, could you please confirm that all 7 or 8 channels are working correctly on the Channel Monitor screen. Also that in the Phoenix Model Setup you have Trainer Mode set to Slave. I assume you do, because y...

[quote="Daedalus66"]Did you program the necessary switches, etc. in Taranis? Unless you did, you will only have a basic four-channel model. The first thing to do before even bothering to hook up to Phoenix or RF is to go to the graphic output screen on Taranis and make sure it is generatin...

Can anyone help me out? I've got the Taranis set up on Phoenix 5 & RealFlight 7.5 but the models only work on 4 channels. When I go through the calibration options in each program, the switches I've assigned for flaps, gear etc are being detected but there is nothing happening on the models. I u...

Re: Using multi-position & Logical switches to select BGM
Ok, so far I have managed to set up logical switches that allow me to assign a track to each position on S1: L(x) AND SH (dn) SH (dn) S1(x) The corresponding track is setup using the special functions: SF(x) L(x) PLAY TRACK **title** Now all I have to do is figure out a way of being able to override...

That has sorted the Sticky on SH and i can now turn on the music using that switch.
I'm still trying to work out the correct way to select the track via S1 and logic switches.

Using multi-position & Logical switches to select BGM
Hi folks, I have replaced S1 with the 6-position switch and I currently have different background music tracks assigned to some of the positions for use in various stages of flight with a particular model. At the moment, I turn the switch to whatever track I wish to use and it plays straight away. I...

Re: Acessing sound files in Open Tx Companion
Never mind folks! Managed to figure it out. I hadn't told Companion where to find the required files.
I created a copy of my SD card in a folder on my PC and then set the "SD Structure Path" within the "settings" of Companion to look there for the files.

Alerts when timer has gone past zero
Is there a way to have some kind of audible alert once the flight timer has gone past zero? (Apart from the crunch of a model falling from the sky having run out of battery) My reasoning is for when trialing new battery setups and you know that the flight time will be longer but you don't want...

I found that if you angle the antenna away from the casing or have it pointing 90 degrees to the right of the case, the buzzing stops.

V8r7 7 or 8 channels?
Hi folks, I'm new to Open Tx and was wondering if someone could clarify if the V8R7 is 7ch or 8ch? I have one and it clearly has 8ch ports but the website I bought it from describes it as 7ch. I'm pretty certain it has 8, but before I fit it to a model I'd like to be doubly sure. I'm flying with a T...
