Re: OpenTX GPL violation? Nirvana NV14

FlySky staff claim this is their NV14 repo:

https://github.com/chevyhu/Flysky-OpenTX-Test-Branch

see https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showpos ... tcount=811 and earlier in the thread.

I haven't looked to verify the claim; if someone does let us know.

Re: OpenTX GPL violation? Nirvana NV14

Kilrah, I'm glad to hear you're working with FlySky/Underground FPV and that they intend to make their work public. I will say though that I believe the original poster is technically correct, at least as of this moment. I helped a YouTube reviewer friend get his NV14 set up last night with OpenTX, ...

Re: Possible to output RSSI on a channel on 9XR Pro OpenTX?

Mapping of telemetry sources onto channels is done in the "Inputs" layer, but that is only available on the Taranis, it was never implemented for the "small LCD" platforms. What's the purpose of doing that though? In the case I'm dealing with, FrSky RSSI is notoriously hard to r...

Possible to output RSSI on a channel on 9XR Pro OpenTX?

I've seen several tutorials for the Taranis for outputting RSSI on a channel back up to the RX for use there by a flight controller. For example: https://github.com/cleanflight/cleanflight/issues/748 I would like to do this on my 9XR Pro running OpenTX, but I can't figure out how. If I go to Mixes -...

Re: Problems with pot controlled rates & expo on 9XR Pro

Did you try on the radio itself (not the simu)? That's a good idea. I've been trying to understand how to set Expo to be controllable on the 9XR-Pro from a gvar when using the radio; so far I have not been able to figure it out. Here's what that interface looks like, on the radio and on the emulati...

Re: Problems with pot controlled rates & expo on 9XR Pro

Thank you for the reply and advice. I believe I have the global variables moving properly in the ranges I desire using the pots. Specifically: - GVar 3 moves between 0-50 and is intended to control Expo ExpoAdjustmentOnP2-Gvar3.png - GVar 4 moves between 50-100 and is intended to control the Weight ...

Problems with pot controlled rates & expo on 9XR Pro

I have been trying to port the following tutorial to the 9XR-Pro running OpenTX: http://flitetest.com/articles/variable-rates-expos-on-taranis-opentx I thought I was nearly there, but I am having a lot of trouble with Expo for some reason. I have two GVars that contain the amount of Rate and Expo re...

Re: Trouble getting even basic FrSky Telemetry working

Setting the range to the correct value (which you were right, was 19.8v) gives me a valid voltage sensor reading. Thank you!

So perhaps I just need to figure out how to use OpenTX's telemetry menu with Naze32, etc.

Re: Trouble getting even basic FrSky Telemetry working

For several months now I've been using OpenTX with my DJT module and the Futuba cable for Telemetry with my 9XR Pro. But, I've never gotten anything beyond RSSI working - I've never seen any other values whatsoever. Until today, I assumed it was because I had misconfigured things, as I never tried a...

Bug? MAX now 10 not 100 in Companion 2.0.10 simulation

I just was prompted to install the latest version of OpenTX companion, 2.0.10. My models 9XR-Pro models are no longer simulating the way they were in 2.0.08. It seems to me that the MAX value is now 10 instead of 100, so everything in my setups based on MAX being 100 no longer works. It's bad enough...

Re: Trouble getting even basic FrSky Telemetry working

I can confirm that this issue is fixed in the latest nightly - I am at least seeing RSSI, and I expect once I add sensors that they'll come online too, but I'll follow up if they do not.

Thanks to everyone - looking forward to the release.

Trouble getting even basic FrSky Telemetry working

I've finally started to try to understand FrSky telemetry on the 9xr Pro. - I have the Hobbyking telemetry cable hooked up from the 9XR Pro to my FrSky DJT Module and I believe I have the pinouts connected correctly (there's only one way the 3 pin connector can fit over both the Rx/Tx pins. I'm not ...

I've been struggling all morning to get Mark's fine tutorial on getting a 6 position switch working for APM: http://eastbay-rc.blogspot.com/2013/06/opentx-setting-six-position-switch.html His instructions still work just fine with OpenTX 2.0, but there's evidently a problem with round tripping betwe...

Re: RealFlight Interface module not reading channel 1 on 9XR

Try setting to 4 channels and adjusting the frame length to 12.5mS, and then try both polarities. Mike. This worked! At least, it gets me 4 channels working. I also tried 8 channels at the minimum default of 19.2ms. This gives me 4 channels, but 5 and beyond still do not work. Here are both working...

RealFlight Interface module not reading channel 1 on 9XR PRO

I'm having a problem the 9XR-Pro and the RealFlight Interface. I can't get it to recognize Channel 1 - it is always at 100. Channels 2-4 work just fine. I can fly 3-channel planes by moving channels around. But channel 1 never works. Neither do channels 5 and beyond, although not having Channel 1 is...

I have not yet tried telemetry yet.

Can't seem to get FrSky DJT JR module working in new 9XR Pro

I just bought a 9XR Pro and have been trying to move over to it from a 9XR. I have a FrSky DJT JR module that is properly bound to its receiver and, when in the 9XR, works totally fine, and the receiver shows as bound and the model responds properly. When I first received the 9XR Pro I immediately p...
