You must have a problem with your serial interface.

You are certainly thru my FTDI should be dead, I can do nothing with.
It is recognized by Windows 7 but that all.

not very explicit for a newbie as me ...

When you speak about "serial interface", is the Arduino terminal inside IDE ?

(I'm using Windows 7 64bits)
