Hey guys, anyone using Avast Antivirus having problems reading these forums? On both my PCs with windows 7 it blocks me from reading the forums. The main page with all topics is ok, but as soon as I click a topic to read it, the antivirus prevents the page from opening. :( Anyone here seeing the sam...
Looking at the screen while flying is not a good idea, obviously But set some alarms and listen to your telemetry instead. Like this you can keep your eyes on the model you're flying
With ErskyTx you can also listen to your favorite music album while you fly I do it all the time
Mike, I can see on the pictures that you have upgraded the Logical switches menus. Great. I am still running some older version on my radios.. Need to come back to this RC thing again. I have been messing with other projects, mainly audio, I have also been learning a bit of Arduino coding. :) Now I ...
We could add a confirmation screen so that when you switch off, you have to confirm you want to power off (e.g. MENU/ENTER button) so the radio continues to function if the power switch does fail in flight. Mike This could probably add some extra safety, even to radios with a normal 9x type switch,...
Well if the switch fails so as to do the exact same as if you moved it to the off position, how would the radio know you didn't? No, I mean the switch fails like having a bad connection when it is ON. For a switch to fail the way you described it must be disintegrating completely :D As I said, on m...
Soft power helps IF the conditions are met i.e. they have a setup that provides telemetry and the option to keep on hasn't been disabled... What you mean, "the option to keep on"? :o Such an option should not exist, or am I missing something here? ;) The radio shouldn't turn off unless WE tell it t...
Mike, with soft power this should never happen even if the switch goes bad? :o Remember I have designed a new Switch board for my 9x radios? This was the reason. My power switches can go bad any time they like, but unless they short to ground the radio will continue powered until the switch is moved...
I wonder if that transformer committed suicide and took the Mosfets with it?? Just guessing.
hard to see on the pictures but the soldering on the mosfets pins doesn't look very good.
I have built a few Tricopters and Quadcopters a few years ago. I still have to fix my Tricopter. Its first version had helicopter gyros on each arm. And it flew great
I have just been away doing some other stuff :) But my 9xtreme radio is behaving a bit weird lately. I guess it needs some heavy maintenance.. :) Will be back 100% soon. I think there are a few ErskyTX menus that might need checking? Will flash the latest firmware to all my different radios and have...
I guess my question was a bit stupid. I was only focused on the frequency being stable, and completely forgot the flash and RAM sizes Sorry about that..
But Kalle123, yeah, I have always been optimistic..
This is an interesting idea, specially for simple sensors
Mike,Would a resonator be accurate enough?
What about an ATtiny85? I know serial could be done via software serial, but would it work with the oXs code without modifying it??
Hey, I am JHSA :) Under my posts you see the link that can be used to donate to Mike, so he stays motivated to keep developing ErskyTX.. I am joking Mike ;) But it is great to see you more here on the forum :) Steve, great job recovering your radio. I was reading the posts, and when i got to the pos...
Thank you.
I have a few 9x radios with different boards. One with stock board running Er9x, changed processor on this one, then some others with 9xtreme, Ar9x and Sky9x boards, all running ErskyTX of course
Hi João, Yes erskyTx is still being developed, although I seem to be spending more time porting it to new radios than adding new features. As many new radios have the large, colour screen, I'm adding things for those at present. Mike Shall we implement a color display on Ar9x? ;) Joking. Before add...
Hey guys, I am back after some long(ish) break. Oh no, not him again :o :P :D So, is erskyTX still being developed? Does it still support my 9xtreme and Ar9x boards, or do I have to buy / build some other radios? ;) I have been doing some other stuff but my son asked me to build a couple receivers f...
