Re: Turnigy 9x help. Please help!!

So, what processor does you radio have? You will have to flash the correct version of 9X for the radio's processor

He wants to use his receiver if possible.. :) Multi protocol is his best bet, and might open some new doors in the future ;)

Re: ERSKY9X Coding

Turn the radio ON while holding the horizontal trims away from each other, select upload bootloader, select the firmware file you have on the SD Card, and update the bootloader from it.

Re: ERSKY9X Coding

Create a folder on your radio's SD Card called "firmware", then place the correct firmware file inside that folder.
Now you should see it when you start the radio with the horizontal trims pressed inwards.

Re: Switches not populating

In my opinion that means at least some kind of warning should be implemented.
Or don't allow changing the radio type when a document is open.

Re: Turnigy 9x help. Please help!!

Yes, check the multi protocol module as Mike suggested. it might work with your receiver.

Follow the link and ask there if it supports your receiver, just to make sure..

Re: Turnigy 9x help. Please help!!

I think the problem is that Mike (Er9x developer) doesn't have the new module and receiver the new 9x radio ships with. Therefore he is not able to make it work. Perhaps you could go with the Frsky system. with 2 receivers you could get 16 channels. But, how good are you soldering? Are you into elec...

Re: why so complicated ?.

ok , fair point and i’m getting used to it slowly BUT, if it’s SOOO easy , why so many forums and youtube videos on, fixing things, and nearly every forum has a large “why doesn’t this work “ section , more than any other radio i’ve ever known . Exactly because this is a different approach than the...

Re: Telemetry lost

Once the RF link is lost I need to power off and on the ESC to recover. When it says telemetry recovered, the controls are weird (throttle starts at 50%). Only when link recovered? what about when it is lost? Did you set failsafe? You should.. In fact Kilrah is right, the problem is not a telemetry...

Re: why so complicated ?.

Yeah, the open source firmware introduced a quite new way of doing things, where you have inputs and outputs, and you can connect them the way you want. Once you understand the concept the rest is easy. So, understand the mixer, and you will never want to go back to closed systems.. It is powerful a...

Re: Telemetry lost

Ray, I have just thought of a test you could do to test if the receiver has a bad antenna. You probably need to remove the rx from the plane, and probably need someone to help you.. The idea is to put the radio in range test mode (low power), separate radio and receiver a few meters so RSSI starts b...

Not at all a power supply problem :) because he only loses link when taxing the plane on grass and faraway.
Hmm, sometimes taxing means also shaking the plane ;)
His plane would aready been destroyed if he flew it with some bad connection on the battery circuit :)

Re: Telemetry lost

If.the antennas.are.180 degrees, they ate not ideal. And if one points the tip to the radio, the other will point is back. Not good. Something else that influence the signal strength is moiture in the air.. A wet day means worse link.. There are many factors that can reduce signal strength..

Re: Telemetry lost

Not at all a power supply problem :) because he only loses link when taxing the plane on grass and faraway. I do have alarms when my.planes land on grass quite faraway from me, and that is quite normal because if the antennas are quite low under the plane, the grass can block the signal. Only the fa...

Re: Radio dead after updating.

Ok, if it is able to control servos it means that the 9extreme board itself is working. And that makes me believe that there is some bad connection betwee. The 9xtreme board and the stock 9x board. You could try to remove the 9xtreme board and clean the pads with an old toothbrush and some alcohol. ...

I think your radio is not being supported by OpenTX anymore. I suggest you try ErskyTX (former Ersky9X).
