OK so my radio is THE ORIGINAL TARANIS ie the first Taranis available.

My radio is the standard Taranis X9E. NOT a Taranis plus.
Open TX Companion version 2.0.19,Jan 15 2016.

I agree that you should NOT guess what radio and software versions I am using, but that was what was dispelled in the error message .
I just what to be able to Read Models 7 settings from my radio to the Open TX Companion program on my computer!

I have ordered a SD Card reader . I will try the different method when it arrives, (and report back).

I have plugged the usb cable into the radio and pc, but the two windows that should popup DO NOT appear .ie the computer screen it blank!
The radio screen shows .Taranis Bootloader-2.0.8
USB Connected.

Also I do not understand .the Once mounted part!

please give more details about where to right click and create the folders.And also One inside the other and copy the unzipped files to that folder?

Solved changed faulty trim lever.

Solved changed faulty trim lever.

The trim switches are working when I am flying a model.

It is not there on my Taranis .
When I press inwards on the lower trim levers while switching on the tx. The Taranis starts up with the normal start screen!

I did not have the USB cable connected when I switched on . I pressed the lower trim levers inwards while switching on the tx. On starting up the Tranis main screen is displayed
Is it possible there is a problem with one or both of the trim levers, but the trims work ok! when you are flying!

It shows SD Structure path, when I click on Open Folder I get folders lang or phonon_backend is it one of these or do I have to enter ?

I have Open TX Companion 2.0.8 and is no preferences available to set.
Companion 9X 1.52 does have the option of setting preferences!
