Re: Telemetry lost and recovered on Taranis and X8R
Could you share more about the position of the PCB antennas? (maybe a picture) Are the antennas internal or external to the plane? You mentioned they were repositioned to 90 degrees from each other. Are they both flat against the plane or is one turned up on its side? What about the antenna on your ...

Re: Rudder to Elevator and Rudder to Aileron Mixing?
I have a mix just like what JHSA first suggested with an inverted V curve. This is assigned to a flight mode named 'Knife' (not enough characters allowed for the 'edge'). It was a very simple to understand way to setup and did exactly what was needed. A little tuning on the percentage and I was all ...

Re: Best source for learning about custom switches and funct
I agree with your inquery. There are descriptions of the Custom Functions section scattered abroad the internet, though some of the functions are still a mystery to me. (like Trainer Rud and Switch SH<downarrow>S) I haven't found sufficient documentation regarding the Custom Switches selections in t...

Re: Low RSSI
This thread is starting to make me paranoid. Sounds like we had better pay lots of attention to receiver and transmitter antennae mounting and orientation.
72Mhz never had warning bells. Perhaps ignorance is bliss.

RSSI Warning
I see the RSSI alarm settings on the Telemetry section of companion. Do I need to add a custom function to announce the value when one of these alarms are reached or is the announcement for the alarm already built into the Taranis? I assume I'll know when the red one is reached when my plane goes in...

Use a Custom Function. Identify the switch position and choose Safety Ch. Enter the value that you want the channel overwritten with.

Taranis Firmware
I am starting to feel my age. Confusion is setting in... Starting to see a bright light coming.... Would someone please point me to the download for the Taranis firmware? I am having a terrible time navigating GitHub and knowing that the item being downloaded is intended for my transmitter. I keep i...

Mute Powerup Announcements
Is there a way to mute or turn off the voice notifications for the first 5 or 10 seconds when the transmitter is powering up? After the "Welcome to Taranis" my custom functions announces each switch function that is active. Example... DualRate Low, Medium Expo, Flaps Up, TakeOff Flight Mod...

Make sure you have your transmitter turned on when connecting your USB port. USB2 and USB3 also work fine.

Re: Adjust Global Variable using Slider
I think this would work very well for your application. Put the elevator input on the switch. (Up position, disable flaps, Mid position is Flaps with no Elevator mix, Down position is Flaps with Elevator Mix. I didn't like having a set value for the flaps. Making the flaps a variable (on a slider) p...

Re: Adjust Global Variable using Slider
Thanks. I think I just found additional detail about this deeper into the manual. Their example used CH12 and a pot, but substituting in a slider shouldn't be an issue. Under the Advanced Features; Global Variables section... One of the available sources for adjusting global vars is the list of chan...

Adjust Global Variable using Slider
Experts; I need some help configuring a custom function in my Taranis. I would like to adjust a global variable using the left slider. I am using the Global Variable to adjust the % of travel for dual rates. According to the manual, this can be done. Here's some text from the manual. •Adjust GVx: Wh...
