It was quite scary when I noticed the module stopped working, one DM9 (the one I was using) did not even lite up and the other one (spare) was lighting up but the plane would not bind at all.

I was running 2.0.3 (2.0.5 now) and the range check mode worked for me using a dx5 hack module and DSM2. I got between 30 and 40 steps. @Joao: I used the software that is provided by HK, no chip to select. @Hawk600: If it's RS232 level then it won't work so easy. You then need to invert the signals and convert them to 5V level.
