Re: Radio setup: lost of time
I have this same problem... same reset date/time.... I hadn't noticed when it started, but it was at least 'months' ago. I changed the RTC battery and it still does it. 1970.01.01 00:00 Every time you power it off then back on (whenever later). Whether it flukes timing that is began on a certain Ope...

Re: Looking for help with logic switches for throttle
For a start. Does a bit more than just the sticky throttle too. L1 checks for Throttle Stick under -99 (fully to the bottom) L2 makes sure L1 is met AND SF is 'enabled' (not Throttle Cut) L3 'sticks' if L2 is met.... and 'unsticks' if SF goes to 'disabled' (Throttle Cut) L4 Checks if the Throttle in...

Re: Taranis: Set up Rudder & Nose gear Mixing
You might also use the Gear Switch as a 'gate' (enable/disable) for that Ch6 Steering, so that steering is only enabled when the Gear is DOWN. So that using Rudder whilst you retract the Gear will not make it do funky moves (turns) and possibly hit the fuselage sides as it goes in. Ch6, Max, "0...

OpenTX (V2.2 ?) Sounds structure - idea/request
I don't think this is supported in OpenTX so far (?) Could it be made to allow SUB-FOLDERS - much like the SYSTEM folder is used by the system. I have a LOT of Model specific Functions sounds. And a lot of Model 'information' sounds. When you have a lot of sounds, you have to scroll 'for days' when ...

Thanks Mike
BUT..... how come you can fill up a Taranis way before 60 models? I guess it has less EEPROM, or spare, than the 9XR Pro ?

OpenTX 2.0.20 9XR Pro Bytes Free
This seems a silly question.... I was upgrading a 9XR Pro to OpenTX 2.0.20 (hopefully I got that number/version right) for a friend and I could not find the "Byte Free" (remaining model memory) anywhere on it. In the Model Setup screen it is not on the top line as per a Taranis for example...

Re: Companion Log Viewer - "Knots"
So in 2.1 you set up for 'duplicate' sensor(s), set for the two different units, and it will Log those automatically - or do you have to set up a set of factors to log. eg both of those then?
Looks like I better finally change to V2.1 !!
With over 40 models programmed I was dreading doing it....

Re: Companion Log Viewer - "Knots"
In the Companion Viewer? But you still not get to CHANGE that in the Viewer if you want to see other number systems? So that would be good to have in the Viewer (conversion I guess). At least it helps a bit to get it in the format you were using.... Is the number format stored in the Log files then?...

Re: Telemetry logs "oddity"
"4 times a minute for the large oscillations. The small moves on top of that are just normal movements." What do you mean then? I fly around extremely smoothly, so there won't be any altitude 'oscillations' created by me - well more stable than the reports anyway... or Elevator usage to ma...

Telemetry logs "oddity"
I am not sure where the issue comes from but in the Companion Log Viewer - all versions 'forever' - I have always been shown a chart of the values with a "wave" in them. The wavering value is certainly not what truly happened during the flight it was recorded. This applies to pretty all al...

Companion Log Viewer - "Knots"
The Companion Log Viewer only gives you a unit of measurement of KNOTS for Airspeed.
Also only METRES for barometer Altitude.
Could it be set up (future version) to allow configuration of the units you want to use/see?
eg Airspeed (any speeds) in Knots, Kmh, Mph (m/s ?)
Altitude in Metres and in Feet

9XR OpenTX and Trainer Port
Does the 9XR only run in Trainer Master mode if the 9XR was powered up by the JR Trainer Port? And if so, does that mean the PPM direction is then IN? Or OUT? I assume it would be IN, to accept the Slave's signals. As far as I can see you don't get to decide that in any OpenTX settings, so I assume ...

Re: OpenTX 2.0.15 and 9XR
Oh Thanks!!!
I will try that!
Is it just that way on the 9XR (or maybe a few TX types)?
Versus Taranis having a pop up menu. Maybe that can't be done viably on the 9XR. (I forget it ER9X had pop up menus)

Is there somewhere that stores ALL the prior OpenTX versions? Or at least a fair amount backwards?
I am after a run of the prior OpenTX 9XR M64 versions.

OpenTX 2.0.15 and 9XR
I flashed a friends 9XR with OpenTX V2.0.15 M64 and that all goes through fine. It SEEMS to work in every other way than it has no way to Add, Edit, Delete, Mixer lines! You can create an initial one, when there was none on a channel - just by using Enter. You can 'tag' an existing (default) line, f...

Some of my planes give incessant warning as I fly around a 600m approx square field. For eg maybe doing circuits, or even figure eight, within that 600m maximum. Re: Global Custom Functions and Switches
LOL All are on the Taranis in rough setups, only two fully flying with it so far. I have three Turnigy 9X's to hold them all - though even then a few are "on PC" and have to be swapped into one TX. The Taranis will hold them ALL of coure! Even via PC (with easier copying and pasting abilit...

Re: "Taranis radio not found"
Some USB cables do not work. I have a whole bunch from external HDD's etc.... the first one I used was one that did not work, but I used one at work and it did. So once I began investigating I found it was the cable. So then I tried a lot of those I had and it was about 50-50 as to which ones worked...

Re: Global Custom Functions and Switches
I guess I saw i coming, but didn't really think much about it at the time.... I now have 18 Custom Functions, that apply to all aircraft! And 6 Custom Switches for all aircraft also. And can still see a few more to come. Because of the Speech aspect of Taranis it adds that extra clump of CF's and CS...

I have 35 models.... I use 6 global functions used across them all. Numerous sound playing functions, always used... throttle cut... Also two Custom Switches always used. Does it matter to anything about 100% reliable operation of models?
Is it only a warning to suggest space is running out, or could it cause programming/operations issues?

Re: EEPROM size
When the "Low EEPROM memory" is displayed, what triggers this? Does it compare the largest model memory to what is free - thus telling you it won't be able to do at least one model with saving? Does it actually mean the system could crash (code) whilst in use (eg flying) because of a memor...
