Re: Special fixes

I can't find any specific setting for the "S" version, and I note that in companion, the radio selection is for: FrSky Taranis X7/X7S Access so it appears the same binary file is used for both the normal and the "S" radios, as you cannot specify which radio type when downloading ...

Re: Is anyone still DIYing Radios?

I've just released r227. This just fixes a small bug where if you have several mixes on one channel, all using HALF or FULL as source and REPLACE as the multiplex, only the last mix worked. I'm adding features that are in openTx to erskyTx, without upsetting how erskyTx currently works. Recently I a...

Re: Change antenna on D8R-II

Yes, that is the range problem!
The antenna cables are (very thin) coax. What you need to do is strip the outer black cover and the outer copper screen to leave the inner conductor with the clear insulation over it. This is a tuned length so you need 33mm stripped.

Re: Ersky9x Bug Reporting

I've posted a copy of r227, for the AR9X board, on the test versions thread.
This should fix the replace mix bug.
This is just r226 with the bug fixed.
I will be updating all release files soon.

Re: Ersky9x Bug Reporting

I think I have the fix for this change in logic. I need to do some more testing, but I'll look to post a test version later today (23-Mar-2024). I've been working on some other enhancements so these are likely to be included, and are only partially tested. These enhancements are: Trims on flight mod...

Re: Ersky9x Bug Reporting

Actually I think it is working correctly! The problem comes from using HALF (or FULL). In these cases the switch doesn't enable or disable the mix but causes the mix result to be 0 or 100 (for HALF) or -100 or 100 (for FULL). This means the mix is always active, so using REPLACE does mean the last m...

Re: Ersky9x Bug Reporting

OK, it is related to having HALF or FULL as the source, using other sources appears to work correctly. I'll investigate! As a work around, try using a single mix with IDx as the source. This will give outputs of -100, 0 and 100. Put in an offset of -20 and the middle position will move to -20. Then ...

When did you download the file? I seem to recall I spotted this and replaced the r226 files with working ones!
I've flashed the file I've just downloaded and it looks to be working OK with "replace" mixes.

Yes you may update to r226. I have always been careful to make sure new revisions do not change the existing radio and model settings, so you should be able to just do the update. It is always a good idea whenever updating to make a copy of the the existing firmware and settings so you may go back t...

Re: Anyone have any experience with the Detrum 8CH simulator controller?

I've no idea about that device, but many radios running open source firmware (erskyTx, openTx, edgeTx) support joystick operation via USB to enable them to operate as a controller to sims, perhaps that would meet your needs.

When you have companion installed, there is a good chance you will be able to read that .bin file into it, then be able to transfer model(s) to your Tx.
Let us know when you have companion installed.

Re: ERSKYTx (was ersky9x) Questions

This is very odd. I've compared the two, ersky9xr_rom.bin files (r225 and r226) and the only differences are in the version text and two places containing the fix for the script not running. So the executable code for everything else, like binding, is exactly the same, the files are exactly the same...

Please start by trying the ELRSv2 script. I don't use ELRS, but I understand ELRS sends required options to the script that then just displays it.

I've had a small number of (similar) trim rockers break on other radios. I've repaired them by gluing the broken pieces back on and adding triangular reinforcements above the pieces. These were made from polystyrene card (40 thou thick) and also glued in place. These have then worked OK.

Re: er9x and multi-protocol telemetry mod

With the X6R and the multi module, the voltage from that pin is sent as RxV and not A1. On er9x, due to lack of RAM, this means there is no scaling for RxV, as there is for A1. What is possible is to use a Scaler to obtain the correct value. Scalers are in the GlobalVars menu of the model. In that m...

Check the operation of the A1 input by putting the jumper back in (on the two pins closest to the antennae), and check a1 is then the receiver voltage. Check the connections, as I understand it the pin closest to the servo pins is ground, the middle pin is the Rx voltage divided by 4 and the pin clo...
