Re: ERSKY9X Coding

P4r229 is now posted. This has 12 VARS available, I'll add more in due course. Enable their use in the Model Setup|General menu. The posted file includes a PDF file with more detailed information. Due to the size of a model data structure exceeding 4K, some radios now use a modified model storage. T...

Re: It seems the Failsafe bug

P4r229 is now posted with this fix in. The included bootloader for the TX18S should be the correct way up.

Re: It seems the Failsafe bug

I've located the reason for this problem, and fixed it.
I will shortly be posting p4r229 so this fix will be included.

Re: It seems the Failsafe bug

This is not a failsafe bug. I can reproduce the event. As far as I can tell, so far, it occurs when you power off the Tx with the Rx still operating. When you press a key to remove the warning, there may be a jump in the data being sent to the multi-protocol module. I have captured such an event on ...

Re: Frsky SR8 Self-check LUA - where is it on 228?

I have the fix for erskyTx running this LUA on the X7. For now, I've changed the LUA itself so the X7 is able to change values, changed version attached.

Re: Frsky SR8 Self-check LUA - where is it on 228?

Seems to be something on the X7. My X9LiteS works fine, but my X7 (non-Access) doesn't change the values either. I'll look into this today.

Re: Frsky SR8 Self-check LUA - where is it on 228?

I've used version 2.00 of that script on erskyTx without any problems and this version (2.03) only has a few changes that I don't see causing any problems when running it. It does include an option to enable self check. Just copy the .LUA file into the scripts directory on the SD card. From the main...

Re: Frsky SR8 Self-check LUA - where is it on 228?

Have you tried the LUA files for openTx that is on that page? The LUA implementation on erskyTx was taken from openTx, although not everything available on openTx is available on erskyTx, but many other LUA scripts run OK on erskyTx.

I'll look at that one.

Re: Frsky SR8 Self-check LUA - where is it on 228?

I need to investigate all this. I don't currently have any SR6 or SR8 receivers. First, from where did you get the 2.1.14 firmware? This page https://www.frsky-rc.com/archer-plus-sr8/ only shows firmware 1.0.10 as the "latest". I'll look at the LUA (for openTx) available on the same page. ...

No, the fixed bootloader is not yet published. I'll try to get a test version out soon, I'm in the middle of adding "VARS" so I need to build a test version with the added VARS code removed. So are you now OK copying models, and the problem was caused by a specific model that you have now ...

Re: ERSKY9X Coding

Further to my mention of VARS above, I intend to make use of them optional, similar to flight mode GVARS. If they are disabled, then operation will be as now, but just with the 7 GVARS. If VARS are enabled, then they will replace GVARS, as alternatives to values. I'm hoping to have 32 VARS. Each wil...

Re: Frsky RX8R Pro - Rudundance vs D16 mode

It should work.
Please try binding just the X6R as D16 CH 9-14 and testing that by itself. It should output channels 9 to 14.
Only then bind just the RX8R-PRO as D16 CH 1-8.

Re: KingRadio TX18S

I have the fix for the inverted bootloader display. It looks like the flight mode selection is OK. The logic is to look through each flight mode in turn, starting from 1 and working throught 2,3 etc. As soon as a flight mode is found where the switch(es) are true, then that is the mode selected, oth...

Not sure about the flight mode selection, I just did a quick test on my 9XR-PRO and set FM1 switches to ELE and ID-. FM1 is then only active if ELE is down and the ID switch is in the middle. This is with r228. If you have a model on the 'PRO showing the problem, please post it here for me to invest...

Re: ERSKY9X Coding

Test version P2r229 posted.
This displays the Multi protocols in alphabetical order.
Also added are 4, "Radio Vars". These are 4 values that may be set to a constant value. Each of these may be used as the source of a GVAR. Radio Vars are common to all models.

Re: Question of special channel mixing.

Curves 1-8 are 5-point.
Curves 9-16 are 9-point
Curves 17 and 18 are 9-point, but both X and Y values may be set.
Curve 19 is 6-point, mainly done for use with 6-position switches.

Re: Question of special channel mixing.

I may be able to do the alphabetical order. It appears the module sends the next and previous protocol indices in alphabetical order, so as long as you step slowly it is possible to step in alphabetical order. I'll investigate. I haven't changed the curves as doing so would require any model using a...

Re: Question of special channel mixing.

I've done this on erskyTx, but edge should be very similar. Not quite sure if this is what you want: Logical switch 1 (true if the ELE stick is >2% or less than -2%) |v|>val ELE 2 CH3: +100% AIL Replace +100% ELE (switch L1) CH4: +25% HALF (switch L1) Moving the AIL stick and channel 3 follows the A...

Re: ERSKY9X Coding

After some thought, and seeing what Ethos is doing, I'm intending to drop the "flight mode GVARS" in favour of "VARS". Each VAR may have multiple values, the one active selected in a variety of ways e.g. a switch position, a flight mode, a logical switch, or a source value. A VAR...

Re: 90-100 amp sensor

Just for information, the 150A sensor may be turned into a 75A sensor simply by looping the current carrying wire through the sensor twice.
It will then count the current twice so you then need to divide the measured value by 2 in the Tx.

I'll try to get a r228 out with both this fixed and Rad's problem in the mixer with slow and a curve fixed.
The fix for your bug is in menus.cpp:
void menuScript(uint8_t event)
Uncomment the lines at the end:

Code: Select all

	else if ( i == 2 )	// EXIT
	{
    killEvents(event) ;
    popMenu() ;
	}
