Re: X8R Fail Safe activation and deactivation

Failsafe is deactivated as soon as a valid packet is received, no waiting time.

Re: turnigy tgy 9x + frsky R9M Smart Port telemetry

You appear to have R820 on your Tx. R821 has been released. This may have the R9M type in it.
Try D16 and see if the SPort telemetry does work.

Re: turnigy tgy 9x + frsky R9M Smart Port telemetry

In the Protocol menu, after having selected XJT, check if you are able to set the Type to R9M. With the ATMEGA64, there is limited support for the R9M module, there is not enough flash space for full support. For the Telemetry, it should work if you connect the SPort signal on the back of the module...

Re: S Port Protocol

The SPort protocol document is released by FrSky under a NDA, so we cannot publish it. You do (probably) need to look at the c/cpp code available on Github for erskyTx, openTx, edgeTx or the multiprotocol module to pick out the data scaling for individual sensors, and the specific checksum calculati...

Re: 9XRPRO Crossfire Telemetry (Tracer) and LUA

A quick way to check what telemetry values are being received is to go to the Telemetry|Logging menu. As well as being able to select which values are logged (when turned on), there is a tick at the very right of the display beside every telemetry value that is being received (or is always available...

Re: 9XRPRO Crossfire Telemetry (Tracer) and LUA

CRSF/ELRS telemetry should be automatically handled if the module is set to XFIRE protocol.

If you get the "No Telemetry" audio message, then some telemetry was being received. Do you see a RSSI value on any of the telemetry displays?

Re: Custom switch in Turnigy 9xr pro

Yes, there are logical switches in the firmware (24 of them available!), so no hardware needed. So just set the first logical switch (L1) as I show above, then you may use L1 as the source of a mix, and then the output of the channel the mix is on will change between 1mS and 2mS as L1 changes (actua...

Re: Do you need scripts for crossfire module to work with 9xr pro?

When selecting corssfire protocol (used by ELRS as well), the baudrate is set to 400000.
If the module sends the synchronisation data, then erskyTx will use that to minimise any latency.

Re: Custom switch in Turnigy 9xr pro

The SKY board is an upgrade for the 9X, so, by default, the only 3-pos switch is the ID0-ID1-ID2 switch, all the others are 2-pos switches. By using a logical switch, you may achieve your aim, no need to modify the firmware. Set up a logical switch: L1 F-flop GEA !L1 This will then change state (tog...

Scripts are here: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=10668.

I assume the module will work at full power, but I cannot test it myself. The script did allow setting the power when I tried it.

Re: Does ELRS module work fully with 9xr pro?

I believe it is fully functional, however I only have a single ELRS module, and that is in "Lite" format, so I cannot test it in the 'PRO. The hardware of the 'PRO does support Crossfire and ELRS. There is a script available for configuring the ELRS module, so all settings should be available. My mo...

Create a "Scripts" directory in the root of the SD card, then put the .bas file in there.

Go here: viewtopic.php?f=122&t=5575
and look at the file: 9XR Pro Using SAM-BA to restore bricked Tx 2014-02-12.pdf

This should get you radio back working.

I was asking you to try connecting the radio to your computer and see if it is detected.

The update to the XJT might take 2 or 3 minutes.

If you plug in the USB with power off, then turn power on, do you get any USB device appearing on the computer?

Test version posted on the test versions thread, first post.
It may even handle all 8 cells!

Re: XJT with X4R & FLVS s.port telemetry

OK, so this is the "new" FLVS-ADV that supports up to 8 cells. I've just checked r223 with an older FLVSS and this works OK. To help find why r223 isn't showing this sensor, a "Raw Log File" would be useful to me (see this post: https://openrcforums.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=84&t=13859&p=156269&hili...

Re: XJT with X4R & FLVS s.port telemetry

UsrProto should be FrSky (not FrHub). What is the LED on the FLVSS doing? What is the display on the FLVSS showing? Do you have a module installed internally? If not I suggest disabling the internal module, you probably don't need it enabled anyway unless you are using both modules at the same time!...

Re: Winged Shadow Systems has discontinued its product line

Support is still in erskyTx!
Another possible solution might be to program an Arduino Mini that then sits between the WSHH and the Rx and translates the data into FrSky format.

Re: Winged Shadow Systems has discontinued its product line

D8 telemetry data is processed in "frsky_d.cpp". User data is processed in:
void parseTelemHubByte(uint8_t byte)
It looks like only FrSky sensors are processed, and no data is passed to scripts!

Re: Winged Shadow Systems has discontinued its product line

For D8 receivers, do a search for "frsky Two-way system protocol", and you should get several hits for a PDF file describing the protocol sent to the Tx. When I implemented support for the WS How High, it was sending 2 bytes of height data, with a repeat rate slower than 100mS between data. The byte...

Re: Winged Shadow Systems has discontinued its product line

I've kept support for the WS How High in er9x/erskyTx, I believe support was removed from openTx. I don't know if this support handles a How High RT, I don't know what the RT means! erskyTx is available for the Jumper T12, I don't know if the RM TX12 is sufficiently the same that it will run on that...

Re: Receiver signal critical warning on model power up

There is some averaging done in both the Rx and Tx for the RSSI signal. It is very likely one or both doesn't have enough time, at power up, to get a full average so gives a low reading to start with. As long as you get a good reading after that, you may safely ignore the initial warning. The XJT mo...
