Re: ERSKY9X Coding

Looks like there may be something in the custom name for Cus5. Go to the Telemetry|Sensors menu and edit the name for Cus5 and make sure it contains only space characters, actually overtype whatever is there with spaces.

1. sportTelemetryReceive is working on my X7 with a S8R receiver and S8R script. Not all received telemetry frames are sent to scripts, just configuration ones (as needed for the S8R) and the user ID ones. 2. EVT_BTN_FIRST is not currently in the code, see the script.pdf here: https://openrcforums.c...

Re: 4th pot

Yes, the spare ANA input is on J3. pin 2. Analog 3.3V is on J3 pin 1, and ground is on J3 pin 5. For a pot, you will need to remove R83 and R90 (both 2K2) as these provide a potential divider so the signal could be used as a 3-pos switch input. Also make sure R22 (100R) is present, or solder a wire ...

Does the PC give the "USB device connected" tones?

Re: 9XR Pro probs

Plug in the USB, then power the 'PRO on. You should be in the bootloader and the screen showing "Connecting.."

You should now see two hard drives appear on the PC. You do not need linusb for this, and a usbasp device is not used either.

The 9XR-PRO is able to update modules and receivers/SPort devices, from the SD card, using the module bay. Be aware, for receivers/SPort devices, the pins are in the wrong order and you need to use a cable that swaps power and ground. In any case, it is necessary to get to the "Finding Device" stage...

Re: QX7 dead after accidentally supplying power to the trainer port.

If you shorted the battery voltage to the trainer signal, then you most likely connected the battery voltage, via a 100 ohm resistor and a 1N4148 diode to the main 3.3V supply. This will almost certainly have damaged the processor, probably the SD card (you could check that by trying it in a PC), an...

Re: last firmware for Turnigy 9XR PRO

I just ran a few tests using a DJT module and a X6R bound in D8 mode. I connected a Vario and a GPS sensor to the SPort of the X6R. The received telemetry on the DJT did include the Vario, although only the whole number of metres, not the decimal part, but the GPS was not present, even though the GP...

Re: Scripts for ersky9x

I've done a couple of edits so the encoder works as well as the up/down buttons, so this might be better on the X7. I don't have any betaflight hardware so I can't test this very much, but you are able to select between Set and Reload on the menu.

Re: Crossfire telemetry and GPS data

Check the second post of this thread, I think you need Cus3 and Cus6.
You may assign a new name for these (see the Telemetry|Sensors menu), although this is a very new feature so the new name is not used everywhere (yet).

Re: What else can I upgrade in my radio?

Possible, I think I mentioned it as such quite a long time ago, but I haven't had time to progress it. It needs a protocol defined, carried over I2C to handle accessing the BT module as ersky9x would need to be able to request the baudrate to the BT module is changed. This then means the the BT task...

Re: What else can I upgrade in my radio?

If you want to use pins 1-4 for a bluetooth module, then you can't use I2C for the encoder, and will have to connect the encoder to the processor pins (via resistors) on the original board.

Re: Frsky R9M

The actual bind process is only between the DJT and the Rx, it does not depend on the radio firmware. I just tested with the external module set to OFF (when ersky9x doesn't send anything to the module), and the bind completed correctly. When I re-powered everything, then set the external module to ...

Re: Frsky R9M

Works OK for me, I just tested a DJT module in my 9XR-PRO. To confirm the bind process when using a DJT, you power the Tx on while pressing the bind button on the DJT and power the Rx on while pressing the bind button on the Rx. The Rx should then bind. You then need to power both Tx and Rx off then...

Re: Crossfire telemetry and GPS data

I found one small bug that might explain the loss of telemetry, if the telemetry data wasn't correct at some point. I've posted a test version with this fixed, and also some debug counters added. These counters may help locate where the telemetry data, that looks OK in your log file, is going missin...

Re: What else can I upgrade in my radio?

Yes. The 9Xtreme expansion port has a serial port (COM3) that may be used for bluetooth and a second port that is either I2C or COM2.
If not using COM2 COM3, then you may use I2C instead.

Please create a raw logfile once the telemetry has stopped.
