Re: X lite

"Normal" SPort uses inverted serial data. I'm going to guess you need to connect the sensor to the "Inverted S.Port" connection, not the S.Port/F.Port connection.

Re: Using FrSky S6R with ersky9x

I've was asked by PM on RCG about using aileron differential on a flying wing when using a SxR. Because the SxR does the AIL and ELE mixing, you cannot do this using normal differential mixing as the ailerons are not on separate channels, like 1 and 5. You need to some mixes on the radio to create t...

Re: CRSF protocol for TBS Crossfire?

The feature uses the RSSI value (being non-zero) to detect if the Rx was still powered. What value do you have for RSSI with no Rx connected? Please confirm you are using a 9XR-PRO? The "RX was still powered" is handled slightly differently on different radios. Thanks for testing and spotting the cr...

Re: CRSF protocol for TBS Crossfire?

I've done a change a bit differently (to minimise RAM usage, see comment on Github), pushed my changes and posted a new test version of ersky9x (on the test versions thread as usual). I've included your other changes, except indentation ones.

Re: taranis x9dplus parking sensor

The X8R2Analog device (available from Aloft and T9HobbySport) provides an analog input for SPort receivers like the X8R.
If you have an analog signal available giving your parking distance, this device would allow you to get the X8R to handle the analog voltage.

Re: FRSKY R9M compatibility?

I just checked the sticks may be reversed using eepeV2 on a M64 using er9xV2 (mbtx). Run eepe, read the EEPROM, go into "General Settings" and go to the hardware tab. At the bottom are 4 check boxes for the sticks labelled LV, LH, RV and RH, for Left Vertical, Left Horizontal etc. Change the state o...

Re: FRSKY R9M compatibility?

OK, I wasn't building the version you need. I've just posted a mbtx5a.zip. This includes "mbtx.hex" that is for radios without the telemetry mod and with a parallel voice module or no voice module.
This version will now be built as well when I build a release (test or otherwise).

Re: FRSKY R9M compatibility?

Have you done the "Telemetry Mod", where you add wires to move those two switches and then connect a level shifter to provide a connection for telemetry data? You should be able to reverse the sticks using the hardware tab in eepe, read the EEPROM into eepe, tick the LH and RH boxes then write the E...

Re: Ersky9x Bug Reporting

I may be able to add it for the AR9X/SKY/9XR-PRO, but I have to make sure it works with unmodified radios as well as yours!
What happens, currently, on your AR9X board if you power it off with the Rx still on?

Re: FRSKY R9M compatibility?

First check the movement of the small circles in the square boxes on one of the main screens. They should move in the same direction as the stick movement.

What firmware file did you flash? The wrong choice could explain the THR and AIL switches not working.

Re: I have searched and read and tried for 2 days to get the 9xr pro to work

I test flew a R9M module with R9 receiver in an electric glider, operating at 25mW power. I logged the flight and compared the RSSI values with a log of a flight using a XJT/X8R pair. The RSSi was no lower than the XJT/X8R one and may well have been a bit higher.

Are you saying you have a FLVSS (lipo sensor) with its SPort connector connected to the SPort of the vario? That doesn't work, the vario only acts as a bridge from hub to SPort, not SPort to hub.

Re: Ersky9x Bug Reporting

Well, the warning worked! I put that in with the intention that if you turned the Tx off, then you would realise the Rx was still on, so turn that off, at which point the Tx will then go off. I had assumed that if you were turning the Tx off, then you would want the Rx off anyway! This was clearly b...

Re: FRSKY R9M compatibility?

Yes, use eepe to check the hardware settings.
You have a choice of files to flash, which you use depends on what, if any, hardware mods you have done.
Have you done the telemetry mod?
Do you have a voice module?
If you do have a voice module, is it parallel or serial?

There is a file on the first post of this thread.

I also have:
TGY9xAFhds2a.zip
(48.98 KiB) Downloaded 7 times
that I think is the "latest" firmware that supports your module. You need to flash both the firmware and the EEPROM.

Re: ER9x and multiprotocol problems

That is NOT a multiprotocol module, so choosing MULTI doesn't work. As far as I know, that module only responds to either PPM or a PCM protocol that is not supported.

If you have managed to bind with the button, you could try setting the protocol to PPM and see if the Rx responds.

Yes, you need to re-bind. Power on the Rx while holding the FS button pressed. Power on the Tx and go to the "Protocol" menu. Select XJT, type R9M and set the required power level. Then go down to the BIND option and press MENU LONG. The Tx should show "BINDING" and the red LED on the Rx should star...

OK, so trying to use er9x and the stock (AFHDS2A) module. As I understand it, this module uses either PPM or a protocol based on Futaba PCM. Currently er9x doesn't support this PCM protocol, an I don't think there would be enough flash space in the M64 processor to add it (even if I had the informat...
