Re: twin turbine RPM

I've done some investigations and I should be able to provide a means of changing both the physical ID and the application ID from a script (or two). I already have code available for erskyTx that handles multiple application IDs for the same sensor type. All FrSky sensors allow for 16 different app...

Re: twin turbine RPM

To change the physical ID of a sensor, go to www.er9x.com, and download the script "FrSky Sport Change Physical ID". Connect just one sensor to the Rx, power all on, then run the script. You should then be able to change the physical ID. I will need to sort something to allow for the two values. Thi...

The S8R uses device ID 0x17 for configuration, make sure this ID is not being used by the OxS sensor.

Are you using HUB or SPort telemetry? What RPM sensors?
If SPort, you would need to change the appId (application Id) of one of the sensors.

Re: Output RSSI to a channel no cpercent

It seems only erskyTx has "pcent" as a unit available in a scaler, er9x does not.
I don't have any cleanflight hardware, so I can't help much. If the channel output is sending a mapped RSSI value, then it would seem the problem is in cleanflight.

Re: MasterRadio TX16S

For the switch warning, you need to calibrate the 6-pos switch. This is in the hardware menu (enabled by powering on with the left horizontal trim switch held to the left). Are you using mode 1 (throttle on the right) or mode 2 (throttle on the left)? When I know this, I'll be able to ask more quest...

Interesting since "mmilan", who did the original testing, didn't report the throttle or trim being reversed. I assume you have both the throttle and the throttle trim operating reversed? For the trim switch, please go to the "DiagSwtch" menu and report on the throttle trim response. Normally, when y...

Re: MasterRadio TX16S

Don't tick SAM-BA.
Start the radio in bootloader mode (power on with the horizontal trims inward). Check you see the two hard drives appear when you connect the USB cable.
In the settings, choose TX16S as the version to download.
epskye should then be able to flash the firmware.

Re: MasterRadio TX16S

How are you doing the update and what is the failure you get?
On the test versions thread there is a version of eepskye (in eepskye.zip), dated 20-Jul-2020 22:08. Try using that to do the update.
No need to update the internal module for erskyTx.

Re: er9x and multi-protocol telemetry mod

Possibly the missing RxV is because it is being sent in an extended telemetry packet, which I don't handle (yet).
RSSI is in a standard packet, and RxV could be in the same packet. If it is, it should display OK.

I see you are getting help over on RCG for the module flashing problem.

Re: er9x and multi-protocol telemetry mod

The option “Frsky Mod Done” is in the "Hardware" menu. This is protected from accidental use. To enable it, power the radio on holding the left horizontal trim to the left. The Hardware menu will then be available in the "Radio Setup" menu index.

A "Restore EEPROM" app for the 9Xtreme is now available at www.er9x.com. Follow the "Apps" link and click on the link to the app, save it, then place it in the "apps" directory of the SD card.
If it doesn't appear on the site, refresh the page.

Since the .hex file does not have any data for the EEPROM memory in it, I do not understand why your programmer is reporting the file is too large for the EEPROM memory, not the FLASH memory. Maybe the error message should say "FLASH" memory! Is there a setting in your programmer to select the '128 ...

I had a quick look at the Ardupilot version of er9x. It seems to only receive telemetry while you have one of the telemetry screens displaying. I will probably need to change that to always receive the telemetry.

It inverts the CPPM signal from the radio to the module. Since er9x may output the signal with either polarity it is totally unnecessary!

For altitude, the raw value is sent to the BT module, while the displayed value is changed by the altitude set as the zero height, either by using the "Reset Alt" option or by the first valid height received.

For the battery %, do you know which value is actually correct?

I think your problem with the trim switches is the one discussed here: https://openrcforums.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=95&t=3594 . Basically, there is a design flaw in the 9X for the horizontal trim switches, which means some radios suffer a problem when using the horizontal trim switches. If you don...

Yes, the command bit will override the compile option (as long as the compile option "#define INVERT_TELEMETRY_TX" is enabled). I just checked with my '2561 9X, with a 'scope on the telemetry signal from my DIY STM module and changing the "Invert" option in the menu causes the module to change the p...
