Re: I have searched and read and tried for 2 days to get the 9xr pro to work

If you flash a more recent test version, try r222 c4, you will have R9M support in ersky9x.

Re: FRSKY R9M compatibility?

Yes, use eepe to check the hardware settings.
You have a choice of files to flash, which you use depends on what, if any, hardware mods you have done.
Have you done the telemetry mod?
Do you have a voice module?
If you do have a voice module, is it parallel or serial?

Re: Stock Firmware - For Flashing

There is a file on the first post of this thread.

I also have:
TGY9xAFhds2a.zip
(48.98 KiB) Downloaded 4 times
that I think is the "latest" firmware that supports your module. You need to flash both the firmware and the EEPROM.

Re: ER9x and multiprotocol problems

That is NOT a multiprotocol module, so choosing MULTI doesn't work. As far as I know, that module only responds to either PPM or a PCM protocol that is not supported.

If you have managed to bind with the button, you could try setting the protocol to PPM and see if the Rx responds.

If you have ersky9x firmware installed, then the raw telemetry data may be sent out over bluetooth. I have no idea if "Droid planner" can handle the raw data.

Need to check with a logic analyzer what the stock firmware sends to the module, maybe it doesn't even use PCM but misuses a PPM channel, who knows... I did a while ago (I got a copy of the stock firmware from someone), and found a PCM signal. From a suggestion of yours Kilrah, I did see it looks l...

Yes, you need to re-bind. Power on the Rx while holding the FS button pressed. Power on the Tx and go to the "Protocol" menu. Select XJT, type R9M and set the required power level. Then go down to the BIND option and press MENU LONG. The Tx should show "BINDING" and the red LED on the Rx should star...

Re: ER9x and multiprotocol problems

OK, so trying to use er9x and the stock (AFHDS2A) module. As I understand it, this module uses either PPM or a protocol based on Futaba PCM. Currently er9x doesn't support this PCM protocol, an I don't think there would be enough flash space in the M64 processor to add it (even if I had the informat...

You need to set the country to "EUR", then you will get the "other" power options, 25(8ch), 25(16ch), 200(16ch), and 500(16ch). These are the actual; power values you will get from the R9M module if it has LBT firmware in it, just the display in the menu is wrong. The green LED only flashes when a b...

Re: er9x V2 = mbtx

Please confirm you have flashed from a file in mbtx5.zip (the most recent as of 14-Oct-2018). Select the XJT protocol, then select R9M as the type. The power setting should be available to the right of the R9M setting. I see I have a small bug (in mbtx5.zip) in that the actual value for the power on...

If you are using a multiprotocol module and the original radio firmware, then you need to use PPM from the radio and select the required protocol using the rotary switch.

I will increase the space available on the 'PRO, although if the script is too large, you should get an error 10 reported.

I did originally have a test setup I used on my computer, running the script language within QTCreator. If you have QTCreator I could see about making this available.

Yes, leave the second source at "---" and scalers behave as now.
Scalers are allowed to be sources, so you may use one to scale a value, then use another scaler to scale another value, and combine the two together.

It's over 3 years since I did this so I forgot you need to compile it directly.

Here is a version compiled for serial operation at 16MHz with TESTING enabled that allows use stand alone.

You will need to use AvrDude directly to flash it.

Normally you install the Arduino IDE to be able to flash Arduinos. This compiles the source code then does the flashing, so for the debug version you just follow the description of how to enable the debug, by changing one line, then use the IDE to flash. I think I said I use a batch file in the obj ...

I'm (currently) allocating 12k bytes of RAM for scripts (except for the SKY board that only has 8k). I'm wondering if your script is too large to fit.

I no longer have a '128 radio, but 822j is fine on my '2561 radio.
Please check in the "DiagSwtch" menu to confirm the AIL switch is not working there. If not, then I suspect a hardware problem.
