Re: Help - stuck in HI rate + LOW EEPROM alert

I've just posted a new test version for the '128. I'm guessing here, but I think there may be a problem with (bad/corrupted?) telemetry data. The firmware includes auto detection of an addon called TelemetreZ (from SmartieParts). This normally makes it very easy to do the telemetry mod (no soldering...

Re: Help - stuck in HI rate + LOW EEPROM alert

I just realised the two switches that appear to stop working (AIL and THR) are the two that are re-routed as part of the telemetry mod.
How have you done that mod?

Re: Banggood 4in1 module, Flysky AFHDS2A and Telemetry

Does the DSMX telemetry work if you have MULTI_TELEMETRY selected in the irangex firmware? I haven't got the AFHDS2A extended telemetry fully supported (partly as I don't have any hardware, rx/sensor, to us to test). If the DSMX telemetry works OK with MULTI_TELEMETRY selected, please then run with ...

Re: Help - stuck in HI rate + LOW EEPROM alert

I've just posted a test version for the '128 that includes stack space checking. The STAT screen shows how much unused stack space there is, the DEBUG screen also shows some of the stack contents. I don't have a '128 radio available to test this, although it has worked previously. It would be useful...

Re: Help - stuck in HI rate + LOW EEPROM alert

If/when the radio has the problem, please go to the main screen that shows the switch positions and report whether the switches are responding on that screen.

Re: ERSKYTx (was ersky9x) Questions

OK, I've just posted a version that doesn't invert the signal. The 'scope image for openTx is a bit unclear. It is possible your 'scope is not showing the signal fully, it looks like a square wave but it may be that where the signal goes low, there follows high going data that is not showing.

I've just posted a test version for the 'PRO that supports inverted SBUS protocol on the external module. The signal looks OK on my 'scope, but I can't test it.

Re: ERSKYTx (was ersky9x) Questions

Do you have the labels on those images the correct way round?

I have an SBUS signal being output. Currently it idles at a high voltage, with the start bit going low. I assume you are looking for inverted serial data, idling at 0V with the start bit going high.

Sort of! You need the supporting QT dll files, it was just easiest to install eepe to get these installed. The .zip file actually includes eepe compiled on QT5 as well anyway.

Re: ERSKYTx (was ersky9x) Questions

I'll need to add SBUS as a protocol option. This might take a day or two to do. I see I do have SBUS available on er9x (for the 9X radios), I hadn't realised it wasn't on erskyTx.

I've just posted a test version of eepskye that includes a log file viewer (I just copied the source files from companion!). This supports both old and new format log files. I have, however, needed to migrate eepskye to QT5 to get this to compile. I have also therefore also included eepe built from ...

I thought the 's' version did run (sort of) on the 'PRO, but haven't checked recently. All 'PROs have 512k of flash. You may check the chip ID, it is displayed on the "BOOT REASON" statistics menu.

Could you try 223A2 through to 223A5 and see if any of these reboot?

Re: Script Language

I've just checked my 9XR-PRO with 223A6 and it works correctly, odd if you are getting a continuous reboot. As this may be caused by a radio or model setting, please read your EEPROM from the radio, put it in a .zip file and send it to me in a PM. I'll try it on my 'PRO.

Re: '128 flashing/verification - USB tiny / AVRDUDE

Avdude is OK, the version I use has the same date. Since there is over 18K of code in the second bank, if this wasn't written then it just would not work! The USBtiny will probably write updates Ok, just won't verify properly. I've not used a USBtiny! You may want to try the FTDI via the bootloader,...

I'll post an update...

Re: Help - stuck in HI rate + LOW EEPROM alert

There will be some confusion over the size of the free space. When you write a model to the EEPROM it writes it to a temporary file, then swaps the temporary file for the original file, but doesn't delete the original file, so the actual "free" space is the size of the undeleted file and the unsued ...

Re: ERSKYTx (was ersky9x) Questions

Now that I have Arduino style serial debugging on my r9m flashed with ELRS, I thought I might try talking to it with a basic script based on the one you linked to above. Before I start, I note the ELRS lua script uses functions like crossfireTelemetryPush(0x2D, {0xEE, 0xEA, 0xFF, 0x01}) and local c...

Re: Help - stuck in HI rate + LOW EEPROM alert

I've just posted the change I thought of, it was not difficult. I tested all was still working OK on my '2561 radio. If the stack overflowed it is possible it ended over the top of the telemetry receive buffer, that is filled during an interrupt. This could cause the problems you have reported. This...

Re: Help - stuck in HI rate + LOW EEPROM alert

The low EEPROM memory alert indicates there are less than 200 bytes of free EEPROM. On the model select page, beside each model is a number, this is the number of EEPROM bytes needed to store the model. How big is the model you are using? The main code that runs continuously calls a routine that che...

Re: ERSKYTx (was ersky9x) Questions

As I understand it, crsfshot is just a method for the crossfire module to report synchronising information to the radio so that latency is reduced. Since the control data is sent to the module every 4mS, this may provide a latency reduction of an average of 2mS. Does crsfshot provide anything else? ...

I've not heard of this before. Did you possibly change any trims while flying? A changed trim gets written to the EEPROM, and if that is low then there may be some unexpected problem.

Should be possible. The main thing you need is a couple of mixes on the throttle channel, e.g. for CH3: CH3 +100% THR R CH3 +100% CH3 switch(SA-) [A replace multiplex mix] With switch SA not in the middle position, then the throttle works normally (first mix line). With SA in the middle position, th...
