Re: MasterRadio TX16S

I've just posted a test version that should have the roller back working. I've slightly adjusted the buttons: SYS = MENU RTN = EXIT MDL = RIGHT PAGE> = UP PAGE< = LEFT TELE = DOWN so these should match the operation of buttons on the 9X/9XR and the function of the buttons when using erskyTx on the T...

Re: MasterRadio TX16S

I see the buttons are labelled differently compared to the Jumper T16 (the radio I have to test with). On the T16 the two, silver buttons are SYS (on the left) and RTN on the right. I use SYS for MENU and RTN for EXIT. On the TX16S, these are labelled SYS and MDL, what function do these currently pe...

Re: MasterRadio TX16S

Hi Mike, eePskye worked and could flash. the lamp is red! not green I couldn't read burns, the screen opens and remains blank. Good. Since eepskye worked OK, the Review Output doesn't need to contain the drive name data so that is OK. the roller no longer works, it bounces around freely. Interestin...

Re: MasterRadio TX16S

I've just posted a new test version (B2). The text colour setting is now saved, and the display should dim with a switch, currently not going completely off. Some of the main screens are updated and there is a "HiRes" test feature in the Telemetry popup. This is for a new custom display. Any setting...

Re: KingRadio TX18S

I've just posted a new test version (B2). I noticed that openTx uses slightly different settings for the colour display on the TX18S so I've copied them. The display image may now fit better. Some of the main screens are updated and there is a "HiRes" test feature in the Telemetry popup. This is for...

Re: sound

The 9XR-PRO includes Tx battery current monitoring hardware. If the capacity used exceeds a set value you get the battery level low warning. Disable this alarm by setting the "Capacity Alarm" value to zero (in the Radio Setup|Alarms menu. Reset the capacity used (when you charge the Tx battery) by g...

I assume you are using Mode 1 (throttle on right stick). Others who are using the TX16s may be on mode 2 and haven't noticed/reported if the right stick is reversed. I don't want to just change the direction in the firmware in case it upsets others setups until I know for sure I have the firmware wr...

Re: MasterRadio TX16S

Let us make sure you are following the correct procedure: 1. Start the radio in bootloader mode by holding the two horizontal trims towards the centre then power on. You should see a screen showing the bootloader is running. 2. Connect the USB cable to the radio and computer, check you see two hard ...

Re: MasterRadio TX16S

With the TX16S in bootloader mode, when you connect the USB, you should see two hard drives appear. One is the SD card and the other is the firmware. For the firmware drive, what is the volumes name and what is the name of the firmware file please?

Re: MasterRadio TX16S

Two possibilities (at least). 1. Go to the erskyTx test version thread and download eepskye5.zip dated 12-Dec-2020 19:53. Install this by extracting all files, keeping the directory structure, to a suitable directory (e.g. eepskye5). Then run this eepskye, and it should let you flash the radio (radi...

Re: ERSKYTx (was ersky9x) Questions

Nothing wrong. I have needed to migrate eepskye to being built using QT5 instead of QT4. This needs the QT5 dll files. On the test versions thread there is eepskye5.zip dated 12-Dec-2020 19:53. You need to download and install this, then overwrite the eepskye.exe file with the latest one. Install by...

Re: ERSKYTx (was ersky9x) Questions

You have two methods, one is to install eepskye, and flash the radio from that. eepskye also provides an easy way to read both the flash memory and the EEPROM. The other is to start the radio in bootloader mode (power on with the two horizontal trims held towards the centre). Then connect the radio ...

Oops yes, I've edited my post above.
Rad: That would be fine, you may prefer to get the AOD403, shown at the right of that page. This is in a much larger package so will be easier to fit.

olivierhacking: Do you have eepskye installed? If so, just backup both your EEPROM (models) and Flash (firmware) to your PC, then flash the new firmware. I have always tried to keep new firmware to be fully compatible with models stored from previous versions.

Re: Radioking TX18S Radio

erskyTx should be OK on the TX18S. Most of the firmware is common to all other radios running erskyTx, it is just a few things like the odd switch and/or button that is different and I think I have those sorted. As long as the internal module is controlling the servos you should be good to go. With ...

Re: Charging port.

NO! The 2N7000 is a N-Channel MOSFET, you need a P-Channel MOSFET. Tricky to find one in a TO92 package that handles a couple of amps, you may need to go for a larger package, or perhaps a surface mount D-PAK package device. You need a device that handles 2A (or more), has a VGS of at least 10V (you...

What revision of erskyTx are you using?
XFIRE (CRSF) protocol should be present for the external module (last option after MULTI).

What firmware version do you have on your Tx?
Looking at the module, I think you just plug it in and select "XFIRE" as the protocol for the external module.

Re: Taranis X9E, how know which component it is?

I never looked at the datasheet for that part, the gate-source voltage for both MOSFETs in it are, indeed, 8V maximum. The X9E uses 3 of these devices, one for the soft, main power switch and one each for the power to the internal and external modules. Since the battery is an 8-cell NiMh, we have 9....

I still fully support the 9XR-PRO with erskyTx (it shipped with a version of erskyTx). openTx is still available for the 9XR-PRO, although I have heard some user have problems. I don't think anyone developing for openTx uses a 9XR-PRO, but I may be wrong.

What version of eepskye are you using? In particular, have you updated to use the version compiled using QT5? I have improved the font since I first added colour screen radios. Regarding the touch screen, I currently have no information on the hardware and how it works.
