Re: Turnigy 9X AFHDS 2A system

If you are flashing using eepe, the is an option, under the burn menu, to "set the fuses to protect the EEPROM". If you use that, then flashing the firmware will not erase the EEPROM.

Re: Matching dual elevator

My suggestion is to (temporarily) use the throttle stick to control the elevators. Now you may move the elevators through their complete throw and keep them in any position. Watch the elevators and check they track each other through their complete movement. If they don't track each other, apply a c...

Re: Upgrading from 9XR-Pro to X9D+ - a few questions

I only have 32 on the X9D+. It's a question of the amount of EEPROM available. The 'PRO has 512K of EEPROM the X9D+ only has 32K. In order to store models (each of which is around 3370 bytes) on the X9D+, the data is compressed, then stored in a file system. The file system control, and file directo...

Re: Blinking cursor on every screen

I doubt it is worth adding an external EEPROM. If you have a serial voice module you do have the backup and restore options. I think the global voice alerts could prove quite useful. If you set one up controlled by a logical switch, you may then configure models to use it or not by defining the logi...

No calculations done, I just report the value as provided by the XJT. I believe openTx does the same. I've been busy on other things so nothing much done on the big colour display. I have been provided with a Jumper T16, that is pretty much a clone of the FrSky X10, so I may port ersly9x to it. I ha...

Re: Blinking cursor on every screen

The '2561 doesn't have any more EEPROM than the '128. If I added them to each model, this could add 56 bytes to each model on the EEPROM. So with 16 models, this could be 896 bytes or a quarter of the EEPROM!

Re: 9XR Pro can not active Trainer mode......

You should find the "last" trainer source option is "JACK SBUS". This allows you to use a receiver that outputs SBUS as a wireless trainer and just connect the SBUS output to the jack socket.

The "best" option would be a S6R or S8R. In failsafe, you may enable "auto level" mode, together with some rudder and no throttle. This should result in a continuous, flat, descending turn.

Re: Blinking cursor on every screen

I've come up with a way of having more items in the radio setup EEPROM for the '2561 that still allows new items to be added for the '64 and '128 as well, but without needing the '2561 items declared or loaded into the '64 and '128. With some quick cut and paste operations on the source files, from ...

ersky9x supports 4 trainer "profiles", to allow for different student transmitters and different methods of receiving the trainer signal. In the MODEL|PROTOCOL|TRAINER menu, there is a setting to select which profile to use, or OFF to use non of them. Make sure this is set to the profile you wish to...

Due to the T12 appearing to be a copy of the FrSky QX7, FrSkyX protocol is currently disabled in ersky9x (you should see a "N/A" beside the "FrSkyX"). If/when Jumper agree with FrSky that FrSkyX protocol may be used, then it will be enabled. This is exactly the same as when the 9XR-PRO was produced,...

Please confirm your friend's X9D Plus works with YOUR dongle, or does his work with his dongle and has not been tested with yours?
You could upgrade back to ersky9x so you may change the delay value as I suggested.

Re: Blinking cursor on every screen

I've got the code changes done for the proposal above, all seems to be working. Currently it is conditionally compiled so I can turn the change off if necessary. Using the extra RAM of the '2561 needs some thought. One possibility I'm considering is to add an extra file on the EEPROM that contains s...

Re: Help needed: switch+pot weight

Use 2 mixes on the channel (example using SA as the switch and S1 as the pot):
+ 50% SA
*= 15% S1 Offset(25%) - a multiply mix.

If you used 100% in the first mix, you would need 7.5% in the second mix, which is why I've suggested 50% and 15%.

I'd do something like: CH3: +100% Thr No Trim R +100% Thr switch(SAv) [a replace mix] and also select the "Throttle trim idle only" option. With switch SA up, you get -100% to +100% throttle on the throttle stick. With switch SA down, you get the throttle output set at the low end by the throttle tr...

Re: Available 9X Modification Summary 2019 needed.

er9x for the '128 and '2561 have a setting (in the hardware menu) where you specify whether the telemetry mod (switches moved) has been done, so it should work fine without doing the switches mod, and then you just tick the box to tell the firmware when you have done the mod.

Re: Blinking cursor on every screen

No, the '128 has less spare RAM than the '64. Also, the EEPROM structure needs to be common to all three processors. Since this is loaded into RAM, any additions to the EEPROM affect all processors RAM usage.

There are only 8 voice alerts (er9x V1), and this may not be enough for all voice outputs required, so I have left audio and voice in safety switches. There are 4 choices for the sub-protocol under AFHDS2A, you may need a different one of those for your receiver. Also, there are different values you may choose for the "option" value. Support for the QX7 (and X9D/plus) is likely to take a bit longer as the update for these (older) radios operates differently to the latest radios.
