Is the frsky x8r compatible Powerbox SRS

Hello I'm looking at getting a Powerbox regulator for my RC plane. I notice that the Powerbox SRS is compatible with a "single BUS" type control and lists all the usual radios such as futaba etc. Could I use my Frsky x8r receiver on the powerbox SRS. The exact one I'm Looking at is the "Powerbox Com...

Re: Making Throttle hold the priority on helicopter

Klaus,
Thank you very much. Following your advice I got it sorted. Excellent, I'm now fully transferred across from my old JR PCM 9x11 now onto taranis.

Thanks again

Re: Making Throttle hold the priority on helicopter

Hello I've been trying this again using a set up model helicopter as it easier to see what is actually happening. I've set a pitch curve specifically for the throttle hold pitch but cannot get it to take priority over the flight modes ( no matter what order I put the flight modes in. I could just li...

Re: Making Throttle hold the priority on helicopter

Klaus Thank you I have sort of worked it out now. One of the templates on companion 9x has throttle hold for the throttle only. It has a R in front of the input line which is for "replace". I had a quick play around and managed to get pitch to do the same. It could also be because I changed the orde...

Re: Making Throttle hold the priority on helicopter

Ok I've tried that
The problem is that SF will not over ride the flight mode it just cuts the throttle

I'll have another look at it tonight

Making Throttle hold the priority on helicopter

Hello all I've successfully programmed my taranis to take control of my Raptor X50 after a long time trying. It had been on a JR PCM 9x I've programmed 3 flight modes ( normal, idle up 1 and 2) on a 3 positions switch. I've got the throttle to cut on selection of switch SF. At the moment it only cut...

Re: Standard Glider Templates

Hello. I couldn't get it to work with Open TX so downloaded it onto Companion 9X. SUCCCESS Its (F3F r2940 version) on the transmitter now, so i'm sort of feeling good. Which other thread are you talking about? I need to load the sounds on as they didn't come across and just ask some basic questions....

Re: Standard Glider Templates

Ok I'll give it a go

In simple terms has open tx improved over companion 9x in the ease at which you can upgrade the firmware.

I assume I need to update the firmware from the open Tx menu as a prerequisite before loading one of the F3f glider files

Re: Where Are all the EEPROM's listed if at all

Hello
Please post this as I think the one sold benefit of taranis was access to other EEPROM's
I for one haven't got a cat in hells chance of putting one of these together myself.

During a recent search I struggled to find good glider and helicoper set ups

Re: Standard Glider Templates

Hello
I'm still running on r2940

I've downloaded the Open TX companion to see how it has changed from companion 9x.

Question - do you still need to download the bootloader to update the firmware through Open Tx or is it more plug and play?

Thank you,

I think I might actually crack this now. The notes help a lot.

I will give it a go later on in the week ( I work away from home most of the week) and let you know how I get on.

Re: Standard Glider Templates

Hello I've just loaded this on and put it on a model. The problem I have is my flap installation uses the full range of the servo. So the mid point of the flaps is at around 75% of the servo throw. It's a molded glider (mini vector) so the servos are glued in and permanent and are not adjustable ( s...

Where Are all the EEPROM's listed if at all

Hello I'm sure there must be an obvious answer to this but I'm trying to find glider and helicopter EEPROM's to download to save working from scratch. I want a simple 6 servo glider EEPROM for (4 servos in the wing) with crow braking on the throttle stick. I'd also like coupled flaps and ailerons in...

Re: Bad eeprom message during burning to TX

I'm not going to update the firmware as the last time I tried the bootloader messed up my computer and I had to get it repaired. Have you guessed I'm not into computing! Do I still have to use bootloader? I'll start over. Will I be able to reload the new companion again and the F3F EEPROM, then cut ...

Ok On the old companion it now says that the files ( old ones that did work) are " invalid EEPROM and says "basiv"" Of course, I delegated the new companion and now can't even access/ read my old models and have to start from scratch. This is not good, it had taken me she's to manually programme the...

Bad eeprom message during burning to TX

Hello all, I,ve got a snag with my setup. Hello all Thank you for your considered replies. After I posted it,I thought I might get flamed for being heavy handed, ham fisted etc. As I said it, "it fell apart in my hand, Gov". I had an email from the importer saying he will send me a new bank of switches. I wasn't sure at the time if it was a...

Switches pushed through

I cannot believe it. I had this radio just over a year. From day one I found it a pig to programme, then I worked it out enough to go flying and had telemetry problems. I had to return it to the supplier to get the telemetry sorted. This week I'm working away from home, staying in a hotel, so decide...

Question about using taranis with flybarless helicopters

Sorry if this is obvious I've tied searching ( google)but cannot find anywhere that shows anyone using a taranis with a helicopter like a T Rex 700 and a flybarless controller such as 3gx or Futaba cgy750. Are they easy to set up from a taranis/compatable ? Sorry if it's obvious but I've can't find ...

Dummy question ref helicopter flybarless systems

There are lots of flybarless systems out there.

I've searched for taranis and frysky and flybarless and found nothing.

Is it possible to use a taranis with the futaba cgy750, 3gx and other systems?

Just wondering before I look at getting a flybarless system for my heli, or a new heli

Hello all Just to let you know it must have been a fault with the transmitter. I returned the tx and rx to the uk importer, as suggested on here. Yes, I've read the manual I've also watched the videos. Lots of times. I think that for me certainly, I need it to function at a interface level more like a JR set. I'm pretty well into it now ( committed)having bought a lot of receiver (V8) and now taranis compatible receivers, the problem is I jus...

Whilst the indicated trim position on the transmitter now moves across the flight modes ie in FM1 i add down elevator trim, this same position is now replicated in FM2 and 3 on the transmitter display, the actual trimmed position of the servos ...
