Re: companion app?

X9D+ 2019 - ah yes, i found that, now the simulator looks more inline with what i was expecting. What the telemetry dialog and how do you use it? I guess more than anything some manuals or a site with some introduction/FAQ on someone coming from OTX - eg what maps to what etc would be helpful to mor...

Re: companion app?

Thanks for the prompt replies Mike.

Maybe im missing something, but where are the buttons and switches in the simulator? What are the TRN, GEA, ID0, ID1, ID2 buttons?

I can see FM0 - assume thats the current FM?

Im thinking the telemetry simulator of OTX would be nice.

Re: companion app?

Great, thanks! The simulator side of it is pretty basic at the moment. Do people not use it that much? Any further development plans around the simulator?
I use the OTX simulator quite a lot to test things like telemetry warnings and flight modes etc. Have i missed something?

Re: Frsky R8 PRO receiver AIN2 port not working?

Ratio should be "the max measurable value" so yes 36. Never had one of those receivers but if they do it the same as the older ones the fact they've put a 1/10 divider would lead to terrible resolution/precision so wouldn't be worth more than a ballpark (36V as 256 steps = 0.14V / step, n...

Re: Frsky R8 PRO receiver AIN2 port not working?

Quick question: If ive connected the AIN2 port directly to my 4S lipo as above, what do i set the Open TX telemetry ratio for A2 at ? so according to the spec its max input voltage is 36V, its built in voltage divider is 1:10. Does that in effect mean its actual max voltage on the other side of the ...

Cant build install target

Hi. N00b issues here - apologies in advance, if i've missed something obvious. I have followed the instructions to build open tx with QT Creator on Windows 10: https://github.com/opentx/opentx/wiki/OpenTX-2.2-Build-With-QtCreator-%28Win-Linux-OSX%29 So, ive pulled the 2.3 branch, and i can build the...

Re: Flight mode trim values

accessing the other modes trim values could be useful for things like the elev trim having a duality depending on FM: eg in normal modes elev trim controls the elev trim; in landing mode, the elev trim actually trims the flap-elevator compensation. I have to repurpose the throttle trim for that at t...

Re: Flight mode trim values

I working on a rates-gain concept which allows the in-flight adjustment of tripple rates. I have a switch set to enter rates gain flight mode in which i want to use the elev trim and aileron trims to control the gain value. It all works, but when you switch out of the mode, the gain setting is lost....

Flight mode trim values

How can i get the value of the trim value for a specific flight mode other than the one we are currently in? This assumes we have each mode using 'own trims' in the flight mode settings. eg from FM0 i want to be able to have access to FM1's aileron and elevator trim values (which are set to 'own' in...

Re: Spoiler -> elev compensation trim.

Thanks Rob. I have tried the gvar controlling the weight (its on my example uploaded eepe - although it may be more complex than actually required), but the problem I was having with that was I wired up the elev trim to change the gvar which lead to the elev trim getting awefully confused. I think I...

Re: Spoiler -> elev compensation trim.

Thanks Rob. Perhaps I am complicating things - it certainly feels like it. However. I have seen mixes and I can programme one up to be just like them, and while much simpler they still lack something I think is critical: the ability to adjust the amount of elevator compensation when crow is being de...

Re: Win8 simulate not working?

Ive been having network issues with DNS settings etc, and now that is resolved this fault is no longer happening. Seems that companion uses DNS? odd - anyway all is working fine now.

Thanks

Re: Spoiler -> elev compensation trim.

Try this. Edit the mixs for Elv and set 'Include Trim' to NO Thanks - I tried that and various trim options but cant seem to find what i want. Attached is the program i have been working on. Its mostly what i want, but its still not there. Flight Mode 2 (Landing) has its own elev trim So i have chn...

Re: Spoiler -> elev compensation trim.

okay - so i figured out how to make a custom function to control a GV. I have GV1 set up to be changeable when i move S2 - so in effect, ive set it up so S2 is the elev compensation amount amount. This is getting closer, but the only problem left is that i dont want it on on S2 (physical trim), i ac...

Win8 simulate not working?

I have Companion 9x 1.51 and pretty much all the times i go to simulate a programme, it loads up the simulator screen and it seems fully interactive, but moving the sticks doesnt seem to move any channels. Its like the sticks and channel outputs are not connected??? If i kill it (and it seems to tak...

Spoiler -> elev compensation trim.

Hi -first time poster here. I recently have got myself a Taranis, and have been learning up a bit about the way openTx is programmed. I have got a Futaba 9C and are very used to how that works. I have been doing some trial programmes with Companion for sailplanes. Starting out fairly small i am doin...
