Normally physical connections are explained in this file.

Re: Vario - howto only listen to up vspd

Create a logical switch based on the value of Vspeed (true when Vspeed is > 0)
Thenin special functions, play vario only when logical switch is true.

Re: A few issues

Arduino have several analog pins (A0...A7). For VFAS, you only need analog pin. Perhaps you can change the config file in order to get only VFAS (and no cells). So if your arduino has a defect analog pin you could still use it. If it is the ADC internal component that is defect, there is unfortunate...

Re: GY-86 not working - am I missing something?

Perhaps there is an issue with a pro mini at 3.3V because it is running at 8 Mhz instead of 16 MHZ and handling the imu +gps + MS5611 is perhaps too much.

Re: GY-86 not working - am I missing something?

There is no new version of oXs since many weeks now.
I expect GY86 option combined with a GPS should work but It could be good to test it to be sure.
So if you have the hardware to make test it would be fine to report here the result.

Re: GY-86 not working - am I missing something?

Thanks for the information.
When the option GT86 is activated in oXs it does not use the magnetometer.
In order to use the 5883, you have to explicitely activate it (as a separate option).
So, this could not be the reason here.

Re: A few issues

VFAS is supposed to be the total voltage.
But therefore you have to say to oXs to transmit VOLT_3 as VFAS
So you should have
#define VFAS_SOURCE VOLT_3

There is no reason that BMP280 has an impact on VFAS.
Perhaps you are using another config for this device.

Re: A few issues

I notice a mistake in this line
#define PIN_VOLTAGE A2 , A3 , A1 , 8 , 8 , 8

You should have (remove the "A")
#define PIN_VOLTAGE 2 , 3 , 1 , 8 , 8 , 8

Try first this.

Re: GY-86 not working - am I missing something?

Your config seems OK. There is perhaps a bug in oXs. Can I ask you to test following things: - test disabling the GPS (GPS and GY86 require quite a lot of memory and perhaps there is a conflict) - test using #define FIRST_BARO_SENSOR_USE MS5611 in your config (so with MS5611 instead of GY86). You no...

Re: A few issues

Can you put here your (2) config files. Please note that in order to get voltage of each cell (or min), you must connect all cells simultanously. In fact oXs measures the voltage of cell1, the voltage of cells 1+2 and the voltage of cells 1+2+3. The voltage of each cell is then calculated by oXs by ...

The 2 I2C adress are correct. Normally it should work with a GY-86. I build one (at least using an oldier version of oXs). Can you post here your 2 config files. Re: GY-86 not working - am I missing something?

What is the I2C address when you run the GY86? The mS5611 has 2 I2S address. Perhaps the GY86 is designed to use the other one (0x76). You can change this in the file openXsensor.ino in the folowing code #define I2C_MS5611_Add 0x77 // 0x77 The I2C Address of the MS5611 breakout board // (normally 0x...

Re: Pitch, Roll and Accel Values

Normally oXs can calculate Roll and Pitch. Still I think your issue is due to the use of ACCX and Y to handle the data. If I remember well, on Tx side, the 2 last digit being sent as ACC are lost (due to the format foreseen by Frsky for ACC). To solve this, it is possible to setup a scale = 255 in t...

Re: ADS1115 - howto for single cell measurement

Currently, the code in oXs does not allow to calculate individual cell voltages based on ads1115.

For a 3S I think you can get enough accuracy without ads1115 (so using internal ADC from arduino).
When using internal arduino ADC, oXs calculates individual cells for Hott protocol.

Re: OpenXsensor 4 cell calibration problem!

Calibration may not be done cell by cell. In fact arduino does not measure the voltage of each cell individually. It measures the voltages regarding ground so it measures: - on the first pin = cell1 - on the second pin = cell1 + cell2 - on the third pin = cell1 + cell2 + cell3 - on the forth pin = c...

Re: Cant get openxsensor to work @ 3.3V 8Mhz arduino

In arduino IDE, are you sure to select a board which is specified for 8mHZ. If you select a board for 16mhz, the compiler will get a parameter saying it is a 16 MhZ clock and oXs will use internal delays to fit with 16 MHZ. If your CPU is really a 8mHz, then OXs can't recognise the signal sent by th...

I never used pro mini at 3.3V. At 3.3V the max cpu frequency is normally 8 mhz compare to 16 mhz for a pro mini 5V. Usually I use pro mini at 5v even if I power it with a 4.8 V nimh battery via the RAW pin (so there is a voltage drop in the voltage regulator). In this case the CPU get probably only ...
