Re: eePe/avrdude smartie parts problem

Hi Gohst,

It looks close on the pic but the black wire is only soldered onto one contact, the red on the other side shares two contacts. The black does not touch the red contacts for sure.

Re: eePe/avrdude smartie parts problem

Hello Rob, Sorry for such a long gap between starting the thread and getting inside the tx again. I have followed the leads from the usb port to what I believe to be the programmer although all the soldering looks fairly robust. Pics added to previous pics also. https://picasaweb.google.com/10121820...

Re: eePe/avrdude smartie parts problem

I haven't ventured inside the tx again yet as I have my bro visiting over the weekend so don't want to risk anything yet. Will grab some pics of anything that looks like a suspect joint after the weekend though. I do have another tx to convert for a backup but was holding out for the ersky9x board t...

Re: eePe/avrdude smartie parts problem

Hey Rob, Yes that is the unit. I'm surprised you recognize the work from so long ago, kinda impressed too. Apologies for getting the wrong programmer, still not great in this area. Flying is going great though :) I'm still a noob but slowly getting there, basic soldering is no longer a problem so if...

Re: eePe/avrdude smartie parts problem

I'm not sure of anything at the moment but I took a couple pics if that helps. That pic has now confused me even more as I thought the two large springs inside where the 'tabs' and they locate with two copper 'pads' programmer. That's the bit I cleaned anyway, are there tabs on the other side? Pics ...

Re: eePe/avrdude smartie parts problem

Thanks for the suggestion Kilrah. I opened the tx and cleaned the two sprung tabs and the smartie parts pads with iso but no change when back together. One screw just turns in it's hole but I cannot press the case closed any more, it is firm and tight. I do get a tx beep when trying to connect and u...

eePe/avrdude smartie parts problem

I am trying to get my computer to talk to my tx but I just get the same error in eePe and Companion9x. I have tried both sets of smartie parts drivers for the no solder board and they both install fine but give me this error: ==========================================================================...

Re: Walkera DEVO 8S RF Module

Moving hardware from a devo4 or devo7E to a 9x would make an excellent full function Tx with deviation giving dsm2 also. I'd much prefer a 9x with walkera module though even if I hadn't just given in to the mini cp and Devo7E

Hello and thanks everyone.

I actually stumbled on it at lunch time at work and it blows me away what you guys take in your stride. Sorry for not being more thorough before asking.

Thanks

Adding DSM2 support with an Eflite MLP4DSM

I would dearly love to add DSM2 support to my th9x for uber micro park flyers using the 6400 and smaller bricks that micron radio sell. I have an Eflite MLP4DSM that I use and would like to use the brains instead of buying a full range dsm2 module. I was stunned to see it added but then somebody poi...
