Re: Help needed on X12s firware update to 2.3.11

Your radio probably isn't in bootloader mode.

Re: Tranais X90

There's no "X90" but an "X9D", so I guess that's what you refer to.
It'll only talk to FrSky receivers out of the box but you can control Spektrum stuff if you add a multiprotocol module in the back slot and reflash the radio's firmware to add support for it.

Re: maybe a weird question...global countdown timer for tracking TX battery life?

There is no countdown but there is a global count up timer in the statistics menu that you can reset when you charge.

Re: TX16S "auto detect format" on DSM?

The channel monitor doesn't know what the module does, it displays what the radio puts out, what happens afterwards is out of its purview.
Autodetect is about the module finding out from the receiver what DSM variant it needs to use to talk to it instead of you setting it manually.

The module does the pulse scaling unless you tick the checkbox that disables that. It's not related to autodetect.

Have you flashed the radio's RF module with the version matching what you flashed on the receiver?

Check the channel monitor on the radio to see if it behaves correctly there or does the same as on Windows.

You can set OpenTX to put out 16 channels on the module port (top pin) and connect to that instead of the trainer jack.

OpenTX version would not affect bind.
If you have issues you probably flashed receivers or the radio's RF module without doing the other.

No, it only changes the ability to flash from the USB port on modules with native USB (as opposed to an USB-serial converter on the board).

You should post in the multiprotocol module thread:
https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthr ... st46860929

The newest Spek stuff isn't fully supported at this point, the devs need people with the equipment to get feedback.

Re: Q: er9x compatibility with 2021 FW for 4-in-1 MPM (v1.3.2.58 or .61)

It does require a change in the bootloader (very prominent in the doc/flash-multi) on the modules with native USB because when the USB code was in the main firmware it was used to flip back to bootloader on a flashing attempt. That's no more possible without it so the bootloader behavior was changed...

This is not part of OpenTX, you need to go on the DIY multiptotocol module thread and comment there/help them get needed data for various receivers and test the new additions.

It's D16, but then there's the whole D16V1 vs D16V2 situation plus the FCC/LBT versions.

You must make sure both match on both ends.

Re: Any chance of getting OpenTx on FrSky X20

Other firmware would have a chance of being more popular, but them wanting to avoid that to push adoption of theirs is precisely the likely reason why they're not giving info about the radio to other devs this time. In return there's no reason to throw effort into getting other firmwares to run on i...

Re: Head Tracking Setup not working

T6 is trim 6, you want TR6. You do NOT want a Trainer special function, with the one you have all channels are taken from the head tracker which is why everything does a mess. The outputs are determined by the mixer, the order of inputs is meaningless. So to have something output on CH9 you need it ...
