Read the eeprom and firmware from a similar 9x AFHDS 2a using a smartie parts basic board, then flashed the eeprom followed by the firmware.
By default flashing firmware erases the EEPROM. You must flash firmware first and EEPROM second.

Re: Charging the Taranis X9D Plus?

The Taranis usually charges using the power supply that would be supplied with it and connects to the side port.
You can of course take the battery out and build yourself a cable to connect to whatever other charger.

Re: Turnigy 9X AFHDS 2A system

AFAIK the module just takes PPM and handles the AFHDS2A on its own (single model), the software of the radio is unmodified. Either flash the EEPROM from the stock firmware which should get things working again, or move to open software.

Uh no, it's impossible to find a card too small. Card might be corrupted, or filled with logs you could delete.

Not sure where it is on the X9E, but probably under the battery tray so you'd have to remove that.

You can add a model checklist hand have that display "center throttle" but you'll have to skip it manually.

And are you putting the Taranis far away from the model? That will also affect it if it's too close like on the same bench.

Re: Setting Trim values

By doing this you lose the full range of the stick movement. So as you move the stick to full throttle it reaches 100% before you get to the top, which doesn't make it linear anymore and feels very strange. Not if you adjust the weight accordingly as I said. On the radio there is a nice little live...

Your GPS is sensitive to the RF the receiver is emitting when transmitting telemetry data. Put them further apart or use a better GPS module.

Re: Setting Trim values

2 lines for throttle, one is normal and goes from -100 to +100, the other has weight/offset adjusted so as to raise the lower point a bit and is enabled when your switch is on.

Re: Setting Trim values

I usually use a switch instead of the trim keys. If you want the trim keys you can set up a Sticky logical switch that turns off/on with the trim keys. Use that to switch 2 input lines, mixer lines or override switch in a similar manner to a throttle cut.

Re: Companion 2.1.9 keeps saying I'm using an Atmega128 and won't copy settings and models

When "check hardware" is enabled companion reads the current eeprom then writes the document if the radio type and version match. Some programmer/avrdude version/board combos are known to cause issues when 2 operations are done in rapid succession with the 2nd one failing, which happens in that case...

The window behind seems to be showing that there was a communication error with the radio. Maybe something wrong with the particular avrdude version...

Re: Companion 2.1.9 keeps saying I'm using an Atmega128 and won't copy settings and models

What is the EXACT error you're getting?
It's likely that you had a 64 firmware on at some point, and the EEPROM is still the 64 format and it's the message about that that you're getting.
