Re: Is it bricked? Never read about this before
The 5V regulator supplies power to the 3.3V regulator... if you are seeing 3.3V at the test point , then the 3.3V Regulator is OK. So it appears that the 5V regulator is shutting down ... for some reason... If you have a 7805 and are confident in swapping out the two parts , then it is a quick way t...

Re: Is it bricked? Never read about this before
Yes , check the voltages first.. The 5V regulator is either bad or there is a short causing to much current draw , the regulator is shutting down , and then re-starting. Hence the blinking display... If it is good then the 3.3V regulator needs checked.. Also DO NOT grab the 5V regulator pcb when it ...

Re: Is it bricked? Never read about this before
The fuse is OK , or the READY LED would not light.
My best guess is you damaged the 5V switching regulator ...This could be replaced by a 7805 linear regulator for testing , as this in Not a SMT part.

The Futaba jack and the JR jack share the same Trainer port, so there is only one input.

I would have to make the board longer to fit a connector ... This is a full speed SD card interface , it uses 4 data lines , and needs a 10 pin connector.

Re: Arduino Due add on to 9X
Here is how the board is coming along..
I added a spot on the back to add some Open collector drivers .. for Haptic , LED backlight , and relay drive. There are solder pads
to access the required pins...
The USB signals are now brought out to a 5 pin header on the the 0.100" grid.

Thats why the whole thing needs to be made offshore...

Re: Arduino Due add on to 9X
The board could be shaved down to 1.9" but no smaller .. you just cant fan out the pins of the 100 pin ARM chip any smaller.
Putting parts on the other side will not change the width , and those parts have to be glued in place to pass through the oven..

Yes, it would make a great project board....for just about any use... Why would it not be DIY? It contains the core functions for a 9X style radio , but I'm trying to keep it as a general purpose Project board.. The idea is you make a Shield board to provide your exact requirements... There is no dedicated LCD interface, the connection provides for a 8 bit parallel , ...
