Re: new X8R with paddle antenna
Perhaps people complained about the extra weight?
With the covers on you had to spend a little time roughing them up to make Velcro stick; the new style look easier in that regard.
I just wonder if they are more vulnerable to accidental damage?

Re: Can't build Compainion on windows (next branch)
Where and how do I set this up?Basically the easiest is to install the "firmware" part of the build tools as well, then you'll have a copy of make installed.
Is there a wiki help on it?
Thanks.

Re: Taranis and Flight Battery telemetry.
I have just got a Taranis TX and have set it up with a Model Plane I have, using a X8R telemetry receiver. What I have noticed is that the Flight battery telemetry is now not showing up, it did when I first set it up, but now just shows 0 Volts. Does anyone have any ideas what may have happened ? I...

Re: Taranis and flight simulators
If you have a spare RX which outputs PPM you can do what I did http://www.theprofilebrotherhood.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=36475 You just need to find a way to supply voltage to the RX, in my case I used the wireless sim which was not working anymore. Once you fly wireless you will never sw...

Re: Asymmetric servo movment for trainer
Here in Germany is a guy that sells DX4 without TX module very cheap from time to time. He is harvesting the modules for creating external spektrum modules for Futaba radios which he is also selling. See here Klaus I was all ready to buy one then I notice he does not post to the UK and I'm not sure...

Re: Asymmetric servo movment for trainer
I find that the DX4e is ideal for use as a buddy box by a child (in my case a 9-year old grandson). It's small and light, needs just four AA alkalines, and works well with the Taranis. There are lots around left over from RTF models and they usually sell for about $25 used. As a bonus, one can stri...

I was using an old JR Propo Model 127F a wonderful transmitter and rx of it's day (you could even swivel the joystick mount to counteract the asymmetry of thumb movement) After finding out that I could not get the darn thing working correctly I realised that the trainer socket I had added was just w...

I used the Wizard and made channels 1-4 TAER with 5 for flaps and turned them on to slave. I'd bet its a wind...

I just use Companion and a usb cable and free open source R/C simulator CRRCSim and create a model in companion.
Call the model something like Simulator and set internal radio system to off and set trainer port to Slave and you are good to go simulated flying!

How are you people field charging the standard TX battery?
Could I use a 4 button balance charger and make lead that connects the TX battery to the main positive and negative terminals?
Or does a balance charger insist on a balance port connection?

In my case the error was user error :) Using the frSKY leads, software and user notes... Be sure to heed what Step 4 says! Since the upgrade adapter must be connected to the PC and the firmware file loaded (File button pressed) then and only then do you insert the plug into the RX smart port socket ...

How can I tell what firmware is loaded on my X8R receiver?
I note that...
X8R_130725.frk is Telemetry Date error.
X8R_131105.frk is for Improve the value precision of the battery voltage.

Hi all, I now have my old TX acting as a buddy box through my Taranis. Unfortunately, the servo throws are all asymmetric :( So I want to make throws as Trainer match the Taranis. How about if I had the SA away from me "Elevator DualRate OFF" only active if the switch was last in the middle "Elevator DualRate 70%"
Not sure how to do that though?
Four global variables tied to the middle of each three position switches.
