Any feedback about these pcb makers ?
-seeedstudio

Or others to suggest.
Thanks.

Just wondering, did you find a suitable PCB fab ?
Thanks

Re: Source hardware getting started

I thought that. It's like lego mindstorms, but more advanced.
Later.

For now I'd like to make my own pcb, preciselly voltage and current regulators (current is for LED).
As said, one based on ADP2303.
Is there a PCB design software easier and simpler than Eagle ?

Re: Source hardware getting started

I extended 4ch analog transmitters to 6ch, I played with 4000 cmos series, I did motor controllers with NE544 and BUZ11 fets, etc. I also still have a working Hameg scope. PCB drawn by hand on paper, 2.54mm pitch stripboards. Selfmade in the 80's... That's my summary as an amateur :D Today, to start...

Source hardware getting started

Hi all, I'd like to make some projects, but need to get started. Where and how could I start to "learn" electronics ? (I assume there are dedicated forum) Where to purchase components ? I know digikey, farnell, rs-components. Any ohers ? (findchips.com ?) I'm in EU, so US based may not be ...

Re: something weird happening flashing r804 Frysky

if you write the complete eeprom from one radio to the other, yes you will have to calibrate. If you just want to copy models, backup both eeproms, open both in eepe and just drag models from one to the other to copy them.. Then just make sure you flash the right eeprom to the right radio.. ;) Smar...

Re: something weird happening flashing r804 Frysky

Thanks to both. If you read the EEPROM using eepe, change the default channel order, then write EEPROM back, this should work. The default channel order should be used when you create a new model. I flashed for the first time a new 9X. So no EEPROM to read. There was one model pre-set, a basic plane...

Re: something weird happening flashing r804 Frysky

I'm using a 9X with er9x (r780). I'm currently preparing another 9X, this time for onboard telemetry. So I just soldered the 6 wires for flash and reroute pins 41-42. And I flashed er9x-FRSKY (r805). All inputs seem to react as expected (switches and pots), so that first hw job seems OK. But, the ne...

The size are from the files on my computer.
But I know now why they're smaller: it happends when changing the splash screen.
The new r804 is now even smaller: 129k :D
So solved, thanks.

Re: EEPROM size

Sorry, to disturb, I have a question about firmware size. Not directly related but I doesn't require a specific thread I guess ;) So, I'm using er9x r780 whose hex file is about 133k. All previous firmwares were about 133k also (r744, r760). But now they seem to be about 150k (r788, R803, r804). Can...

DSM2/X and "Chinese Roulette"

I posted on DSM2/X mod forum, in the "The end of DSM mod..." thread. It's about conflicts between transmitters that could control the same DSM receiver simultaneously when using the Orange compatible DSM module sold by hobbyking. I'm cross posting here because you, er9x developpers that im...

Re: The end of the DSM mod...

Re: A missing basic feature ?

OK thanks. I think I got it and will play with weights and limits. But the whole point is that on a real model you don't care much about how the servos actually move. You don't measure throw on the servo itself, you measure it on the control surface (because that's what matters). Ideally, you: - Set...

Re: A missing basic feature ?

Here is the second diagram. Summary (er9x). 1) Trims shift motion range if mixes are 80% weight or less, otherwise trims are limited by Limits screen (assume 100%). 2) Subtrim (aka Offset in Mixes screen) acts differently, not sure how now... if it's not like a trim then it's useless IMHO (and shoul...

Re: A missing basic feature ?

Ok, it's not missing. Maybe "confusing" then :? Let me give another point of view. Assume I make a wing with ailevons so I need two identical servos with identical motion. Mine rotate so I speak "degrees". One is OK with center point at 0° and limits at -45° and 45° (including tr...

A missing basic feature ?

I'm using my 9x quite basically since about 6-8 months. I just realized now there is a very basic feature missing: trims and/or subtrims (real ones, at least on my mind). It looks like the trims and subtrims and offsets, etc, just move the servo neutral point but do not shift the whole servo travel ...

Re: Is ot possible to mod other radios?

Pins 6 and 7 never used? I've seen some pictures either here at 9x or rcg or elsewhere where pins 41, 42 are numbered as 6, 7, when counting MCU pins from top left. It's easy to count to 6, less obvious to 42... I often cry when I see the same labeled transistor with same specs but different pinout...

Re: Repairing stripped Tx case screws?

Well, I don't have the issue yet, but what about to fix permanently a long enough M3 threaded axle inside posts ? Then just use a washer and a nylstop nut on the back case. They would be apparent on the back but I don't think that's annoying. Also, 4 screws to attach the 9x cases together are enough...
