Hi Bertrand,

thanks for your reply -- i'll open a feature-request on the GitHub-Tracker then.

Have OpenTX Announce the (Real-)Time

Hi, I'm often flying in free periods of uni, or with some kind of upcoming dates after hitting the field. When thermal soaring and looking up, one often forgets to check the time. Sooo, i was thinking -- i have the earbud of the Taranis in my ear anyways, it has a RTC and it can read out stuff, righ...

Re: When using Alti+ with new FrSky, how to zero "Alt" readi

Okay, this is going to be rather embarrassing ...: - I was simply too dumb to see that menu short press did actually reset telemetry values ... The absolute value was so quickly back, that i just didn't catch the reset. I have previously not yet thought of the trick: Turn transmitter on, Turn model ...

Re: When using Alti+ with new FrSky, how to zero "Alt" readi

As said, i tried [ENTER] ([MENU]) and [EXIT] long and short ... MENU/ENTER throws me into menu, whereas [EXIT] exits the telemetry screen and goes into mainwindow -- another EXIT press beeps shortly and resets timers. I do still get the absolute reading of 138meters (approximate right)... I also tri...

Re: When using Alti+ with new FrSky, how to zero "Alt" readi

Oops -- i'm sorry! I'm using the 9X with a selfcompiled checkout from ~4-5 weeks ago. I might have to add that the firmware is slightly modified as in that someone re-enabled vario sink tones on the 9X for me. This should -- from what i can read in the source -- not impede resetting (i hope ;p). Tha...

Re: When using Alti+ with new FrSky, how to zero "Alt" readi

Hello, i have tried both [ENTER] long and [EXIT] long, both in telemetry screen and main-screen. [EXIT]long gives me the reset beep, and i believe timers are reset. [ENTER]long simply takes me to the model selection menu. Both don't reset the altitude ;(. Thanks for your really quick answer -- love ...

When using Alti+ with new FrSky, how to zero "Alt" reading?

Hi, i'm using the FVAS-02 "normal precision" vario for my RES glider. I have noticed that Vario tones and VSpd readings are much more accurate with "Alti+" than with "Vario" source -- which i think is also often said here in the forums. One thing i liked about "Var...

Re: 9X + FrSky-TelemetryMod flashes only with Back-Cover rem

Then the firmware options in companion9x preferences don't match the options in the firmware that is on the radio. Ah! This is the advice that i needed, i believe. I now synced the Companion9X preferences to my Makefile, and shwoosh! It works! I can now read and display eeprom in C9X, as well as wr...

Re: 9X + FrSky-TelemetryMod flashes only with Back-Cover rem

Hey, i forgot to write one thing: I did read eeprom from tx, open the old eepe file, copy-pasted the contents over from old to new, then wrote those new contents to tx -> bad eeprom. You wrote something about conversion -- how exactly would that work? Thanks! -NebuK PS: Sorry, just found where C9X s...

Re: 9X + FrSky-TelemetryMod flashes only with Back-Cover rem

Hi, i fear i'm running into a new problem here. I've been using a version from someone who patched it with vario-sink-tones patched in again (see https://github.com/opentx/opentx/issues/79 ), so no big suprise something's wrong there. Thing is, i've also tried to build RELEASE-r2923 (the git tag), f...

Re: 9X + FrSky-TelemetryMod flashes only with Back-Cover rem

When you did the telemetry mod to the back board at the 5-pin connector to the module, did you remove the board and cut connections to pins 2 and 5 on the other side of the board? I suggest removing the two telemetry connections to the module connector and trying again. Okay, i have tried removing ...

Hi Mike, When you did the telemetry mod to the back board at the 5-pin connector to the module, did you remove the board and cut connections to pins 2 and 5 on the other side of the board? Good call, i fear it turns out i did not. I have measured the two telemetry pins at the module connector versus...

Re: 9X + FrSky-TelemetryMod flashes only with Back-Cover rem

Hi, i did already try to mask the metal-spring-thingy with electrical tape to isolate it. This did unfortunately not help at all. The error also arises when the backside-PCB of the transmitter is connected through that one rather wide connector to the mainboard. What i really also don't understand i...

9X + FrSky-TelemetryMod flashes only with Back-Cover removed

Hello, i have a really strange problem with my 9X and flashing with a USB-ASP. The device is this one: http://slackworld.org/blog/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/lcsoft.jpg I use a FrSky module in the 9X and i have modified the 9X with the "no RS232"-Telemetry-Hack described here: http://www.rc...

Re: WARNING: Known problematic USBASP

Hi, i have a problem that is rather strange and that i thought might be related. I have a "LCSoft Studio" USB-ASP, it looks like this one: http://slackworld.org/blog/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/lcsoft.jpg I tried to measure those 4 resistors (R6 is removed on mine) and find them at the ISP-...

Re: Non-symetric Flaperons for a DLG

Hey, thanks for tha answers, both of you. I've tried Mikes proposal and got it working with almost no modification. All i had to do was to replace: * -50% Thr Offset(-100%) --- multiply multiplex BY * -50% Thr Offset(100%) --- multiply multiplex otherwise at throttle=-100%, the output would not move...

Non-symetric Flaperons for a DLG

Hello fellow OpenTXers and Open9Xers, i've recently gotten a beginners DLG and now want to program my TX according to the popular method for these kinds of gliders. I've now put flaperons on inverse throttle. That is, if throttle = 100%, Ail works as usualy controlling my 2 aileron channels between ...
